Hi everyone, as we approach our first anniversary the team are busy preparing something special for you all. So it is left to me to tell you about today’s releases.
For WoW fans we have World of Warcraft: Curse of the Worgen #1. A series of grisly, animalistic murders have rocked the walled town of Gilneas. A famous detective sets out to discover the perpetrators and finds far more than he bargained for. To find the truth, he must delve through years of twisted history – both the history of his family and Gilneas itself. This pivotal 5-issue miniseries explores the in-depth lore of the Worgen!
Artist Ludo Lullabi tells us more in this exclusive creator Q&A:
- The artwork evokes the atmosphere of Azeroth perfectly. How challenging was it to capture this world in the format of a comic book?
Before working on the World of Warcraft comics series, I was a regular player and knew the general atmosphere of the game. The adaptation of my art to the comics came naturally… When i wasn’t sure of something, I went into the game on my tiger mount to study the places in which the story took place!
- How much WORLD OF WARCRAFT do you play?
I played World of Warcraft very regularly when the game came out, as well as Burning Crusade. Due to a lack of time because of my work and also the fact that I want to discover all other games out there, I play less and less. I have not investigated everything in Wrath of the Lich King yet. My avatar is still lvl 78, though…
- Who are your favourite comic creators?
I am influenced by many creators but to quote only some of them: Joe Madureira, Humberto Ramos, Katsuhiro Otomo.
- Name some of your favourite comic book characters, and artistic influences.
The comic books which most influenced me are “Akira” by Otomo and “Battle Chasers” by Joe Mad.
Stay tuned to playstationcomics.com for more WoW: Curse of the Worgen interviews – coming soon.
Elsewhere, Markosia bring us Turkey Grove Farms. Something has gone very wrong on the farm, tired of ending up on people’s plates the turkeys revolt and force the farm hands to provide them with a certain turkey substitute. A dark, adult but most of all, funny comic that you should be sure to pick up. Just look out for the over amorous bull.
IDW deliver the next instalment of a personal favourite, Locke and Key: Keys to the Kingdom. In case you didn’t know Stephen Spielberg is producing a Locke & Key TV series, so why not read the comics before everyone jumps on the band wagon!
Born in fire. Raised by monsters. Destined to destroy. On an alien planet shattered by war, no one is stronger than Skaar, the savage Son of Hulk. Marvel release the first two issues today.
That’s it from me. Check out the list below for all the new releases, or check out our website to browse the entire catalogue and to take part in the forums.

Its quite fun to see how nature changes when a little snow comes, from
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv_qmXvWBvA
to
http://www.youtu be.com/watch?v=zgjS9jcekWQ
(Yes, both taken whit the camera attachment for the PSP).
Just hope it will not snow to much, a fine thin snow-carpet is nice. To much is not.
So, have the snow began to show itself over in the UK?
The good old questions:
Release in Scandinavia/rest of EU?
Comics reader for PS3
And Crossregion gifting?

Keys to the Kingdom #2 to be the bestseller this week then?
Looking forward to read that one, as well as more of the Magician, I’m glad Marvel are realising that series so quickly.
Oh and Turkey Grove Farm has to be a must read for everyone! Just watch the promo video for lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J5bT28Ycyw
Disappointed to see World of Warcraft: Curse of the Worgen #1 being £3.19, so I think I’ll stick to Telara Chronicles for my mmo based comic fix, it’s only £0.79.
Question for you Pete, any news on more DMZ coming soon? Or more 2000AD Graphic novels? I’m pretty sure 2000AD have had some in the pipeline for awhile.
Intrigued by the “as we approach our first anniversary the team are busy preparing something special for you all.” comment! Wonder what it could be?

Hey Ravenblade, I’ve read both Keys to the Kingdom #2 and Turkey Grove Farms last night and enjoyed them immensely.
Their was talk of some new 2000AD graphic novels, Pauline is going to ask them again. I don’t know when we’ll see some more DMZ, but I expect we’ll see some more soon.
You’ll have to wait and see what we’ve got planned for the anniversary! Watch this space

You’ve got me intrigued by Turkey Grove Farms, sounds like it has a ‘Chicken Run’ vibe to it.
Any news on Scott Pilgrim/Walking Dead comics? Really Liking the TV show so far.
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 3:45 pm by Pete Stott
Hi Zoibie, I’d say that it’s a *lot* more adult than Chicken Run!
No news on the other comics you mention. I’m really enjoying the Walking Dead TV show too, although strange to see Andrew Lincoln talking with an American accent. I hear they’ve already commisioned another series.

I’m kind of curious about the development time of these digital comics: on average, how long does it take for a submitted comic to be processed/tested etc until it is released?
It seems like we get slightly more comics in every update, which is a good thing!
Thank you for the update!
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 4:24 pm by Pete Stott
All the processing is done by the Publisher, we give them the tools to do so. Once submitted it takes about 1 or 2 weeks to put on the store depending on the back log. Thanks for the question!

WHO or what is holding the release in the rest of EU back this long?
I am seriously doubting that you want to release the store in other EU countries or that you are even in talks about releasing the store to other EU countries.
Will it be released when I’m still living in Belgium or when Flanders has become independent?

@ StefNighthawk,
I’m wondering the same thing. I read these posts every week, hoping someone would tell anything* about expanding the service’s range, but indeed it appears that nothing’s done about it.
*anything includes:
- “It will probably never come to your country”
- “We’re still discussing this, but it has no priority at the moment”
- “We don’t feel like it”
- “It’s coming next week”
- everything else
Seriously, could anybody tell us ANYTHING?

EU When?
since this is an EU BLOG,
and most of the service posted is not available in the EU
either stop the complete EU-PS3 and focus on the UK
or give the rest of the EU the services we are expected to get

We all should be an interesting possible user base.. When will it be launched already.. It is taking like forever.. With no word.
You know what SCEE not communicating is equal to no understanding. Like I said before sharing is caring so share the info with us.
When:
Video store
Comic store
descend PSONE classics
Netflix/lovefilm type of services
Cloud saves
Xchat
And so many more that the fanbase/userbase is crying out for.
