It’s that time of the week again… how time flies. Yes, another Store ‘Heads-Up’date (™ pending) is here and I am here along with it to let you know what we have for you.
There’s a good selection of new games for both platforms this week, as well as a wealth of DLC for various titles (not least the PS3 Exclusive Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Copernicus missions).
I don’t have much to talk about this week – there have been a couple more PSone submissions that I’m sure you’ll all be very pleased with once they’re ready to go (don’t ask me which, you know I can’t tell you!)
I’ll be around for comments of course as usual, so enjoy your content and talk to you soon!

Nothing for me this week.
Another week without any demos

PoP is a little expensive. Far cheaper to just buy the 3 on disc, as it will work out more expensive off the Store if they are all that price. Fail, Ubi.
just FirstPlay for me then

Nice update. Don’t suppose you know if the PlayTV update also features series link & the premium TV guide? Thank you.
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:44 pm by Ross McGrath
Yes, it does. That came straight from James Thorpe, so it’s legit info.

Nice update will probably be downloading Crazy Taxi later.

Pretty disappointed about the PlayTV update, lets face it, when you’re watching TV you don’t want to be chatting to strangers.
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:45 pm by Ross McGrath
Well, there’s some other features in the update too that you might like. It’s probably worth having a read about it.

Very nice update been waiting for that Worms pack. Oh and i’ll download the ACBrotherhood DLC since i got the game today
Would have bought RF:Guerilla but i already have that on disc, great game that is…
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:00 pm by Ross McGrath
Yeah, I really like Guerrilla actually, I think it’s the litle challenges that make it.
Bring down this whole builing in under one minute using a Sledgehammer.
That’s classic, that is.

What did I do to deserve this my lord? 2 is not on the Australian store even though it got a price reduction in all regions a few weeks ago.
Will Swords and Soldiers ever come to Australia?
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:02 pm by Ross McGrath
Actually yes – we had an update from SOE just this morning regarding the ratings issue we raised with them. You should see both Swords and Soldiers and Peggle on the AUS/NZ Stores fairly soon.
24
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:39 pm by Huono_peleis
Again zero demos and downloadable games that are more expensive than the BD-versions. Lame.
And nothing new on the plus-section either…

anychance of a playtv post today so i can ask why we were blatently lied too as it said the series link was a free feature and the chat and stuff was paid for
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:06 pm by James Thorpe
Hi greyness123, I will be posting about the PlayTV ‘Live Chat Upgrade’ tomorrow evening. I don’t recall it ever being stated that series link would be free? I know we said it was one of the most asked for features in the UK and we were working on developing it but not that you would get it for free. The guys in Cambridge have spent a lot of time and effort on this upgrade patch and so we feel it’s great value for money, especially for the features like Chat TV, the internet based prmium programme guide from tvtv and all the other features.

Now I’ll just need that Scott Pilgrim DLC and I’ll be a happy camper.

Give it a leeeetle while longer and it shall be yours.

Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:40 pm by MrLopes
Well this update might not be that bad as it first seems.. Maybe I will take a look again later.. Yet again disappointed still no Resident evil. No discounts for us that are comparable to the US.. When will we finally be treated as equals we are all playstation fans!!

Nice update Ross, is there a PS+ deal with crazy taxi like with the USA store?

Oooh, I’d wait and see if I were you.
31
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:41 pm by MrLopes
Yep Fail on the no demos part as well.. and what happened to the PS+ content..
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:16 pm by Ross McGrath
All but two of the demos in the US update this week are already available here, and the SAW II demo will be released here when the publisher wants to release it.
And you haven’t had any new Plus updates YET.
32
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:42 pm by dgnfly
o ya and why still stupid avatars and still no new capcom ones damn u.s is getting them, o wait let me guess they have 2 be localized then they have 2 go through PEGI and than about 3 months later they appear.

Hey Ross, Any chance of getting Digimon world 3 on the store as a PS1 classic? Thanks
34
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:42 pm by HiddenAway
Nice price on Cladun. That cements the purchase for me. Fans of Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess should look at Who’s That Flying?!
Just a shame Australia and New Zealand can’t share the love – especially on Peggle!
Did you ask about Yggdra Union yet?
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:14 pm by Ross McGrath
I asked About Yggdra, yeah. Waiting to hear back.
As I said above, Peggle will be on its way to AUS/NZ along with the other SOE games that previously weren’t released there.
I’m afraid I can’t speak for NIS America but if they choose not to get their content rated for AUS/NZ then that is their decision.

If I wasn’t buying the POP HD Collection, I’d definitely be downloading me some Prince.
Play.com have sent my AC:B Codex Edition so will be downloading the mission from the store. And, although I’m not buying much, what’s on store today is actually a pretty great selection.
So, to be annoying: Where are my Tomb Raider games? The ones I own on disc but will gladly throw my money at you to download?
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:20 pm by Ross McGrath
Come on I can’t talk about those. Tsk. But we got Tomb Raider, right? So…

Hi Ross!
Can you clear something up for us? There’s rumours of an 2 day delay on gt5 for europe, any truth to this?
Thanx in advance;)
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:22 pm by Ross McGrath
You’d want to ask Penrose that but not that I know of.

Silent Hill…
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:23 pm by Ross McGrath
…Will never be re-released on the EU PSN because of the legal issue that meant we had to pull it down from the Store as soon as it went up.
As we have told everyone here many, many times before.

Play tv you robbing B*****ds. No demos as usual. Every week now Sony can’t wait to shove themes and avatars on the store trying to make it look like their giving a big update but even more annoying is they have the cheek to charge for em. Sony you get worse.
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:24 pm by Ross McGrath
5 demos in the US update are already available here. The rest are coming.

Should be about 3-4pm GMT as usual.

Have to agree about PlayTV update. £6.30 to add series link (I know there is other stuff but I do not want that) is way too much for such a basic feature. Feel we are being ripped off with this

No Scott Pilgrim DLC? awww.
By the way you mentioned a “List” last week for ps1 games.
I don’t suppose Crash Bash, Tekken 3 or Croc: Legend of gobbos snuck onto that list?
I’ve heard alot of demand for those particular titles.

Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 1:46 pm by Oldest_Ancient
Ross, any idea if the Sly Cooper games are going to be put on the store around the same time as the disk release, all the other Classics HD games seem to be going up or is it likely to be later on?
Posted on 17 November, 2010 at 2:40 pm by Ross McGrath
You’d need to ask that in Ross Alexander’s Sly post as he’s looking after that product.

I like how NIS has revised their prices for PSP games. Disgaea is very tempting at that price.
