Hey everyone!
While Insomniac is off for the holiday break, we did want to stop by with the Director’s Cut of our VGA trailer. The trailer originally called for three scenes, each showing a different aspect of the game, and the initial sequence was meant to tie it to the GamesCom trailer. Alas, live television demanded a two-minute run-time, and we wanted to give you as much gameplay as possible, so some of the live action hit the cutting room floor.
This restored Director’s Cut features a lot of the extra live-action that Prologue shot – including a dark warehouse scene at the beginning. Each of the live action moments does represent a section of the game, despite the only gameplay footage occurring during the boat. Check the Director’s cut out below:
We hope you also got a chance to see the new screenshots we released with the VGAs. We feel like they are some of the best screens we’ve ever taken.
We’re off for the holidays as a company, but we did drum up a few blog posts, and record a special episode of the Full Moon Show discussing everything R3 that will air right here on the PlayStation blog during the holidays, so keep your eyes peeled for that on December 29th!
Until then, happy holidays to everyone, and thanks for all your support of Resistance 3, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, and Insomniac Games.

Can’t wait for this. I hate nearly all FPS gamers except Resistance series and Bioshock series.
I look forward to get more information on Resistance 3 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
Have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I nearly s**t myself when that Chimera jumped out in that trailer,
I don’t know if my poor old heart will be able to handle Resistance 3.

I’ll be straight up,love you guy’s as a company, really got into the full moon stuff during the build up to R2.But,whilst I enjoyed R2 for a bit,I cant really get into your games.R&C,Spyro, just never clicked with me.and apart from some of the humour found them a bit rubbish.
But I enjoyed R2 enough to keep me interested in R3,I like what I’ve seen so far,so I’ll no doubt get the game around launch.Just hope that extra year helps with overall consistency.
And when you guys talk about polish this time, don’t use google maps

Insomiac delivers like always! The Resistance series are so great! I’m going to replay the R2 campaign just to celebrate the official announcement of R3!

Fantastic! The Resistance games have gone from strength to strength. I remember Resistance:FOM looking as if was Sony’s answer to the Halo series, only to let us all down, I almost didn’t buy R2 because of it, however, R2 beat the pants off Halo 3 and indeed any other Halo game out there. R3 is looking even more immense.
These games, coupled with the R&C series (both PS3 games I have also played to death) only serve to show just how great a developer Insomniac Games really is. Long live Insomniac!

This games looks better and better with each snippet of info released!
Will the actual game have live action cut scenes? because that would be really cool and would set it apart from all the other fps’ out there.

since killzone 3 beta was a huge let down i really hope this game will not dissapoint like Resistance 2 did.
Resistance 1 & Killzone 2 imho are the best fps games on Ps3.
