Greetings everyone!
Last year we asked you to submit some snowy photos from Gran Turismo 5 in our Themed Photo Competition. What we did not expect was an absolute avalanche of incredible pics!
We on the English community team had a difficult task in selecting the following top 5:
Creator: Sszaki
Location: Ireland
Creator: Studio9400
Location: United States
Creator: Cogitokoshka
Location: New Zealand
Creator: Delboydread
Location: United Kingdom
Creator: Andy5432
Location: United Kingdom
Well done to the winners for these very inspiring photos! We also want to thank all of you who submitted photos for this competition. If you want to see more amazing pics, you can see all the entries right here on the Gran Turismo forums.
Keep an eye on those GT forums for more themed photo comps, and be sure to check out the Official PlayStation Community Events Calendar to see what’s on across the PlayStation Network.

Very cool photos! Not too sure about the flying car one though. So… how about another competition, but this time make it un-themed to allow a bit more creativity and visual variation
@sraotbainns
The photos aren’t really in-game, the quality is a lot higher than the images that are generated at runtime. The photo-mode can take it’s time rendering the images (higher detailed models, shadows, lighting effects, etc)

I think we’re going to stick with the themes and keep it specific. These were hard enough to judge in a specific category… if we let you loose our judge’s heads will explode!

@MusterBuster
Good point about the head explosion
How about this: Nürburgring, the 24 hour circuit, with day/night and weather changes (should be available to most as a practice track). That would produce some awesome images I think. Or, simply go for night images on any track. From the whiteness of snow to the blackness of night

I like it – we’ll call it “Nurburg FTW!”.

@Jdevries_Zwolle I have found that if you reboot your router, then your PS3 this problem can go away. If that doesn’t work, go onto Google and find an open DNS server and put in custom DNS entries on your PS3 network setup.
Good luck!

I know this isnt the place for this question but our complaints/comments in the PS plus section are consistently ignored week in week out.
*The free game this month is not working for most people and only appearing as a one hour trial.
*Amazingly it was changed to this one because apparently there was an issue to the original one.
*The free game was changed to a game that has been on offer in the last few months, slapping the people in the face that took up that offer. Seriously games should not appear twice in a 12 month period or something otherwise whats the point.
*A large number of people, myself included, are having content expire and no being able to redownload, even with a current subscription.
*We are told to expect 1 PSN game and 1 PSone game a month but are having the PSone game stripped from us next month apparently, despite what we have signed up to.
*PS+ are trying to pass off a neogeo as a second PSN title next month despite the fact that no one is being fooled by it.
*we were originally told to expect DLC every month but have had that taken off us and told we were told that by accident.
I’m sorry I have had to hijack other threads but we receive no reply on the one we are supposed to use.

Slightly off topic… but is there any news for the ‘win a copy of GT5 Signature Edition’ competition winner from the AU Playstation site? and also the Aliens Blu-Ray competition?
It’s been a month now since entries closed, and the Signature Edition will be kind of pointless if the winner doesn’t get it before the B-Spec Competition finishes..
