Hey people,
I’m here to announce a very special community event. It’s called: Operation: Dogs of ‘nam!
Over the next three weeks we’re challenging you to get out your dog tag collecting skills in a competition on Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam. Taking part we have EA’s very own EA_ActionMan alongside PlayStation Community chaps MusterBuster & Yaster.
The aim of the game is to collect as many dog tags from the “targets” as you can. The more dog tags you get, the better chance of winning the top prize – a trip to Sweden to meet the developers of the Battlefield franchise, DICE. Everyone who takes part will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Logitech F540 Wireless HeadPhones for PlayStation 3. And of course, if you do manage to get our dog tags (it wont be easy!) we’ll send a set of real dog tags with our name on to love and hold forever.
You’ll need to have serious skills though, so now is the time to practice. Standing between you and our dog tags are a squad of Battlefield Veterans featuring community members, partners and press.

Are stat servers working normally in the UK? As we, other residents, can’t play normally since December.

Shouldn’t DICE fix the statserver so the Dogtag register when you kill’em?
When I play, and not just I. When we get a new star/dogtag/wepon… they do not saves sometimes. So it would suck to talk a dogtag from them and not register.

there is only one stats server. it’s sometimes works ok for me, sometimes not. i think it does eventually update correctly, but there are many times when it can’t access your stats so you end up in game with no rank and no unlocks. it’s happening on xbox and pc too apparently. there was supposed to be a server side fix last week, but the problem seems to persist as far as i can tell. it’s annoying enough that i’ve given up for now. i’ve got ME2 and LBP2 to be getting on with..

So does this mean EA sever is going towork I don’t think so every tag I got don’t save on my satas just like the stars on the guns EA make good games and BBC2 is amazing but EA sever is poor and that’s being nice

GulfWarVet don’t say that mate, it’s much easier to take a camper’s dog tags!
Kudos on Vietnam, I love it on Conquest, don’t know if I’d commit to saying I prefer it to regular MP though, I love my M416/lightweight/magnum/armour setup. PPSh is a beast though.
As for the stats issue I had it bad throughout December, but everyone’s stats are safe on the devs end, patience is a virtue

For this(and future competitions like this) do I need to use my UK PSN account to take part as my main account is an Australian PSN account despite living in the UK (I moved here a year ago). Or maybe you can let people change their PSN account’s country if they’ve moved to another country permanently? *crosses fingers*

Well hate to say it but , what a pointless comp, the stats since ‘Nam came out don’t work & if by Feb its not patched trading standards will be alerted to the’ not fit for purpose ‘ the game is now playing as.
My ‘Nam stats av lost over 300 kills , 4 brz & 3 silver stars , of which trophies haven’t unlocked & on BC2 my brz badges refuse to unlock & 700 kills are missing . i suggest a fix rather than a glitched comp of which the fairness & stat tracking is made impossible.
