All to memorise the popular memory of PlayStation with one another ‘Head’s Up’ argument. The new contents where we go believing because of you, including the monopolistic article of splendidly new PSN, Explodemon this week it possesses!
No, I haven’t quite gone completely off the deep end yet, this is merely my homage to Curve Studios’ PSN-Exclusive Explodemon!, which hits the Store today. You are tasked with saving your world from evil alien invaders by blowing yourself up repeatedly and often – this is exactly why video games were invented as far as I’m concerned. But Explodemon is only one of the great titles we have for you today…
Stacking (which is being given away in Plus this week) is the latest adventure/puzzler from Double Fine, following the story of Charlie, full time chimney sweep and Russian doll, as he attempts to save his family from the evil Baron.
Tales from Space: About a Blob gives you the chance to be part of your own sci-fi B-movie as you make your way through colourful environments, mercilessly devouring all in your path to become an unstoppable force of blobitude (yes, it is a word).
We also have the ultimate ‘Breakout’ experience for you in the form of Ricochet HD, the last word in horticultural-based undead defence via Plants vs. Zombies and the digital edition of Assassin’s Creed II (this is the GOTY edition with the DLC included).
We have demos for PS3 and PSP, new DLC for Mass Effect 2, Test Drive Unlimited 2 and The Sims 3, XMB themes with a suitably Valentines feel and some new avatars for you all to enjoy. They’re not even EyePet ones. And don’t forget the discounted 90-day subscription for DC Universe Online!
That’s everything for this week, but as Explodemon would say, I hope that situation new directory is enjoyed; it can see in the transfer direction this week along with attaching between the 16th is also gorgeous, in satisfying version. Bye!

Under Siege avatars but where is the game!?
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 2:53 pm by Ross McGrath
Couple of weeks at the most now – I’ve been emailing the Seed Studios guys for the last couple of days, they seem very nice.

Including PS+ offer I must say that this week update is very strong. What about your PS One wishlist post on the blog??
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 2:40 pm by Ross McGrath
Hey all –
I just want to clarify that the PSone Blog post wishlist is 100% still on the way but has been postponed until I get sign off on me being able to share someinformtaion with you from our Legal department. And you know if Legal are involved it’s gonna be interesting news!
Seriously though, I can’t give you an accurate ETA but once I get the okay it’ll be up within 48 hours (so James has time to schedule it).

no GOOD ps1 games?
cant you just tell us the ps1 games we will be getting in next few months? dont need to know WHEN they’ll be out just knowing they will be comming will be enough…jsut so i can have cash in wallet ready.
also cant there be an option for avatars ( possibly pay the normal 20p fee ) so we can choose a trophy logo as our avatars? id love the ghostbusters logo trophy as my avatar, and ive given up hope for ghostbusters avatars
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 2:55 pm by Ross McGrath
I tell you what, maybe you don’t need to give up on that avatar quite yet…
And no, I can’t tell you anything you’re getting oer the next few months I’m afraid, PSone included. But I can think of three REALLY highly anticipated ones that should be out within the next 21 days.

The special offer Disney’s Hercules from last week isn’t showing on the Swedish PS Store, only thing we have is the Atlantis/Hercules bundle which is more expensive.
Would be nice if you could fix this. Hercules disappeared from the store a couple of weeks ago.
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 2:56 pm by Ross McGrath
I’m currently working with Disney to get all their PSone Classics onto all Stores – I’ll notify you once we’re there.

Last word on Under Siege was that a final revision has been re-submitted to Sony QA after the Devs found that there were Sync errors in the Multiplayer section.
Who knows how long we have left to wait.

No new PSP games?
Anyway, looking forward for the Xperia Play event this Sunday, will Playstation Suite games be managed by you some people, or by a complete diferent management?

Might get explodemon but i was really hoping for a demo.
Stacking is free on Plus which I already subscribe to.
About a Blob is a good game but I don’t really want to pay a tenner for it. Was hoping that would have a Plus discount at least.
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 3:01 pm by Ross McGrath
About a Blob is really a very good game, I was enjoying it a lot. Explodemon also gets my seal of approval, I would recommend it to any platformer fan.

Hello there Ross.. nice update.. just a quick question..
Filmy..? what is that..? and if you install it will it be an application in the Video section (just like Mubi)? or how does it work?
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 3:03 pm by Ross McGrath
Here’s the lowdown on Filmy – it’s quite a specialist application.
Filmy™ allows you to manage all of your AVCHD home videos directly from any compatible camera and view them on your HD TV via the Video tab on your XMB™ menu.
The easy to use interface lets you categorise videos by date, event or even by location thanks to GPS tagging which displays your movies on the world map. You can add a “favourite” stamp to specific scenes in your best videos and even filter them to display movies that include people or smiling faces, or quickly skip to specific points using the “Film Roll” option.
Filmy™ supports videos recorded in AVCHD format using compatible Sony Handycam®, Cyber-shot™ or ‘α’ cameras.
How about that then?

Any news on when/if the Gift feature will come to the store Ross?

No, no news from my end – this would be a global feature determined well above my head if it goes ahead.

Hi Ross, I hate being a pest and asking every week, but any update on The Show request? I hate to sound like a broken record but I think this is the only place I can find out about the progress (if any) on it.
Thanks again.

If I’m honest you won’t hear anything for a while, if they decide to pursue it I will let you know though, since it was a great idea.

Can I buy a 90 day sub for DC Online and activate it in 2 months time or does it start from the moment I buy it.
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 3:11 pm by Ross McGrath
It’ll kick in right away I’m afraid. If you want to keep that discounted 90-day rate you have to purchase while it’s still on offer. For the life os the subscription (as long as you keep it going without stopping) you get the discounted rate.

Explodemon for me maybe… Shame there’s no demo. What happened to Auditorium HD and The Undergarden?
Posted on 9 February, 2011 at 3:13 pm by Ross McGrath
Undergarden still coming – Auditorium HD is still a way out yet because of when it was sumitted to us. Spelunker is also confirmed to be on the way, but will be a while yet.

Hi Ross, thanks for the update! Getting Stacking free with PS+ today which is fantastic! on’t know whether I should by PvZ for the third time or not…very tempting.
As an aside, the other lot announced their release date for Beyond Good and Evil HD, I know you can’t give us a date but can you at least say whether they have it as a timed exclusive or not? Many thanks!
