No seriously, wheres the real list?!

I don’t understand whats happened since December, but like, we’ve got smaller and smaller updates on the Store front, which have been filled with Guitar/Dance addon’s to make them look the usual size which I believe was stated before Dance/Guitar Wouldn’t happen.

Seriously whats happening in the licensing office, I know that Music Taste varies and its all a matter of opinion and stuff, but seriously, what on earth has happened? 3months now and all we are getting is mediocre at best.

Considering SingStar is THE Major game within the Karaoke genre I feel slightly let down with the lack of A-List material, I mean out of all the musicals out there, Oklahoma?! Really?! lol

Oh well, on a lighter note: Thanks for saving me money for the last 3months

Hello Nina,

This time, 2 songs will end up on my hard drive : Agnes & The Cranberries (nice surprise for that one…). Are there more Cranberries material to come ? Cos there are much stronger hit singles than that one. This will do in the meantime, though.
See you in 2 weeks with, I hope, 4 songs for me !!

The dance add-ons are a must buy for me… As for the singing, I’ll only get Agnes and The Cranberries… I’m looking forward to see more from The Cranberries and another great 90′s band such as The Corrs… Crossing fingers here

Why are the last updates so small?

Only 10 new English songs (Song packs and Dance/Guitar AddOns don’t count). What happended to the 20-new-song-updates we have gotten before? So far (imho) 2011 is extremely disappointing for SingStar.

I’m with BlaizeK, out of the 15 new songs, 10 of them have been available as part of packs?! It’s like you don’t even want my money anymore.

Having said that, I’ll probably buy another couple of dance add ons

why is there hardly ever any current stuff released ??? My kids want to sing what is out NOW, not what was out long before they were born.

Do the disney sing it : Party hits

new songs also come from singstore? Or how does that work?

And does the UK version of that game work with the dutch psn store?

Here’s a video for ya… ’twas my birthday last week and I decided we should go out as zombies, just for the heck of it. So before we left my friend Danny fancied a quick blast of SingStar on one of his favourite songs, “She’s So High” by Blur (because he usually gets a great score on it) and this is the result. I’m the one in the bowler hat. Enjoy!

It’s not been very well rated though so far I guess people like toddlers prancing about and not horrific undead types. Oh well.

so how about doing something like this game then singstar team: http://www.wesinggame.com/index.php?/site/requestchart they seem to be doing ok for themselves and going about it the right way to keep their fans happy, I can understand that you cant please everyone and everyone has got different tastes but surely you can start listening to your fans abit more and put out music from today rather than all from yesterdecade, at least one good thing comes out of this update, save myself yet another fiver!

And there’s no point in saying about going onto that silly forum thing that you’ve suggested before as out of about 10 lists Ive put on there (bout 200 songs in total) I have probably seen bout 2 songs go on singstar and they have been popular songs as well. Shame on you Singstar

P.S. sorry for venting my anger at you Nina but someone on the singstar team needs to listen, oh and can you tell me how I can apply for a job so I can sort out the Singstar brand and make it a top game again

Linger isn’t really my favorite from Cranberries, but I’ll get it anyway. You could add a few songs from To The Faithful Departed, one of my most listened albums. Salvation, War Child, Forever Yellow Skies, Electric Blue, Cordell etc., you name it

However, what’s with the dramatic decrease in songs per update recently? We used to have updates twice the size of this not 6 months ago… Don’t tell me SingStar is running out of steam… =(

Only Cranberries for me this week, come on Nina Jennifer Lopez i’ll pay double the amount for any of her songs same goes for Shakira.

Why can’t the singstore ever get the latest songs? Like the new Rihanna songs and Katy Perry. New mainstream songs is something singstar lacks.

Maybe what you can do to keep people happy, is tell us when a requested song comes through…. say in you’re write up, heres one Raingmc and 14 others requested… or something like that…

I have a few more suggestions, something that have been bugging me for a little while… In the Duet songs, can we have a scoreboard for each part, cause in some songs where the one duet part is mostly rap and the other is mostly singing (such as Love Shack – B52′s and Look For Me – Chipmunk) sometimes one part is way easier than the other and its impossible to get on the scoreboard as chipmunk or fred.

Also when youre in the scoreboard, make a way to toggle between names instead of having to input a name by pressing triangle… this would be especially good when you’re having a singstar party and theres 8-20 people singing at random times.

Or Maybe do a week with just requests… Say they were all requested pulled from the official request list…

they both have really great videos and you could make guitar add ons for them…

Or you could tell us say something like “Hey, we’ve requested rights to the song “Paparazzi” by lady gaga but so far we are unable to reach an agreement” for the songs so we know youre trying.

Or say something like we are unable to get any songs from such and such an artist until their exclusivity deal is done with _______

Nina as much as I appreciate your effort, sadly I already have the songs I want from the store (Either from Disc or Store DL)

And the songs I’d have a little think about and then maybe buy, are now a big no anyway since the price hike, and the whole Terrible UK Economy, I’m now only buying stuff I like and not stuff thats a “Hmm maybe peeps want this at the party”.

just downloaded ultrastar deluxe.its a singstar clone for pc except its free.if you had kept the prices at 1 pound instead of being greedy,you would still have my custom.also i can choose which ever songs i like instead of being drip fed a load of crap.bye bye singstar

Nina why not drop the video and use custom videos wouldnt it be a little easier to license songs this way.

Love Singstar but will be lack of decent DLC tracks and price hike per track i end up only buying disc releases.

Yeah can understand that Nina thanks for replying makes a change (not on about you on about other games and blogs etc… where people decide to ignore their followers)

I understand that the process isnt as easy as going to an artist and saying can we use your song and thats that, I know its alot of legal matters but can be frustrating when you see other games getting up to date song’s. I’m just hoping that you will be bringing eminem songs out soon (my fav artist), steps (for the missus especially now there is news they have reformed for a tv show and charity gig), michael jackson (still shocked at the lack of solo stuff I mean 1 song and thats on DISC!) and just some more up to date stuff with a mixture of older stuff so say you were bringing 15 songs out every 2 weeks in the updates you could do:

5 songs from the past year
5 songs from 90′s and back
5 songs on a specific genre (so say next update it would be rock, 2 weeks after would be pop, then dance etc… etc…) which I think will keep people happy

obviously you cant keep EVERYONE happy but mixing things up as much as you can get people off your backs abit.

are you able to say if in the next month or two we may expect more up to date stuff?

I do hope things start to look up for the Singstar updates as there are so many songs from 2010 that have not ben added yet, even my kids are saying they don’t want to play as there isnt really alot for them to play as they dont know alot of the older stuff (if you can get Take That – The Flood, Eminem – Not Afraid (or no love or love the way you lie) & Tinie Tempah – Written In The Stars & any glee stuff that’ll keep me, the wife and the kids happy and I wont bother you for the next 6 months lol come on thats gotta be tempting Nina lol)

I know this is completely of topic but when are you guys gonna update the PS3 internet browser. i have been quite disapointed with the recent add on’s but i know about the legal issues that come with trying to get the song rights and getting it on the game.
