New inFAMOUS 2 Trailer: Being A Hero Is Optional

Countries: , , , ,

InFamous 2 Stand_3DPack_AW_ENG

Following on from our packshot, pre-order and special edition unveil last week, we now have for you a brand new trailer for inFamous 2!

Over the past few weeks we have gone into more and more detail about the Karma system in inFAMOUS 2, this kicked off with the PlayStation Experience on February 1st where we unveiled Nix and Kuo, the representations of chaos and order in Cole’s world. If you missed this, check out the interview with Greg from Sucker Punch.

Nix Kuo

This was followed up by a post from Sucker Punch giving more info on the intricacies of morality in the game – and specifically looking at how one mission can play out in two very different ways. Have a look if you haven’t seen it already.

Now we have for you the Karma Trailer. In inFAMOUS 2, Cole will have new powers and will come across many crossroads. Ultimately it will be up to you to decide the path you want him to take.

Take a look at the below and watch out for how Cole’s look changes when he’s good and evil, get a sneak peek of a new faction he has to face, and a small taste of Cole’s new ice powers…

Patapon 3: The Legend Returns

Patapon 3 for PSP (PSN and UMD)

It’s been a little over a year since the Patapon forces engaged in an all out blitz offensive against the Karmen. Many an eye was lost, but the brave monocular warriors pushed through courageously… until they reached the most evil demon warrior this side of Patapolis… so what happened after that intense, life-changing battle at the end of Patapon 2?

Victorious and jubilant from their conquests, they pushed on until they came across a gigantic vessel, locked with ancient magic and scribed up it an ominous message:

Heed this warning mortal beings.

Destruction and darkness locked within.

Run away and don’t look back.

Lest you wish for seven evils to attack!

Together they stabbed, poked and kicked until the lock gave way in a thunderous explosion. Before the Patapon tribe could gather the severity of their actions, they were all turned to the hardest of stones. .. all but one lone brave Patapon, Hatapon, the flag bearer.

This is where we rejoin the Patapon saga, on a dark and desolate battle field, surrounded by a sea of stone soldiers and a new evil threatening the very existence of the Patapon world.

From the vessel appears Silver Hoshipon (of similar appearance to a Patapon, but with a star-shaped body, and possessed of magical powers). Silver Hoshipon reawakens three fearless warriors and summons YOU, the Almighty, from the heavens. Reincarnated in the body of a Hero, the future of the Patapon tribe rests on your shoulders. Together with your trusted warriors Ton, Chin and Kan, you are the last hope of the Patapon tribe.

Command the sacred drums, follow the rhythm of the earth, march into battle and banish the dark forces forever. Soon your PSP will sing the hypnotizing battle cry we’ve all grown to love: Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon!

The legend has returned!

Declassified: SOCOM: Special Forces Co-Op

As we move ever closer to the games completion, we’re happy to go into detail about everything the game has to offer, which is quite a lot! In addition to its cinematic single-player campaign and highly addictive online competitive multiplayer, SOCOM: Special Forces also features a co-operative multiplayer mode where up to five people can play through a number of dynamic missions set up specifically for co-op play.

SOCOM: Special Forces co-operative mode features two main game types: “Takedown” and “Espionage.” Takedown charges your team with scouring an enemy filled location in search of opposing VIPs that you must neutralize however you can. Espionage turns the focus to intelligence gathering, where you must use teamwork to track down enemy data and sabotage their local operations.

Rend 5 Declassified: SOCOM: Special Forces Co-Op

Before each co-op mission begins, you’re able to adjust both the overall difficulty and the density of the enemy soldiers positioned on the map. But even at its easiest, SOCOM: Special Forces co-operative mode has been designed to be challenging – as you progress, you’ll need to use teamwork by calling out enemies and objectives to your squadmates.

Check out the screens and b-roll footage of the co-op campaign in action. Stay tuned to PlayStation.Blog for more SOCOM: Special Forces updates.

VidZone Exclusive: Morning Parade Interview

Countries: , , , ,

It’s probably the worst time to have a parade if you ask me… but that doesn’t matter. What does matter is that this band is going to be massive… and although I have to be nice… I actually mean it this time. Huge sounding anthemia with hooks the size of The Incredible Hulk’s whale fishing tackle, White Lies-esque surging synth driven poprock with the added bonus of Steve Sparrow’s vocals not inducing mild suicidal urges. Now enough of the ludicrous metaphors and pretentious comparisons… to the factmobile!

MORNINGPARADEEXCLUSIVE_en

So… we got the chance to interview the band to see what they had to say about everything from “supporting” Kylie to their “widescreen, epic sound” as well as a whole load more interesting Morning Parade based anecdotes.

MorningParadeScreengrab

We also have the video to their current single “A&E” (plus some backstage footage) directed by Nabil who has directed Kanye, Will.i.am and Bruno Mars, their previous single video “Under the Stars” as well as live footage of them performing “Your Majesty“, “Pieces” and “Under the Stars“. Everything you need to get into to start loving and continue to love this band, I think you will agree.

As always with our exclusives you should… watch on VidZone, buy the single on the 27th of February, then the album, then go to one of the below live gigs to see it all in the flesh…
