“Complete a Custom Campaign mission in Co-op”?
Has there been any details on custom campaigns? What is that? Halo/forge style or proper LBP style?
Posted on 8 March, 2011 at 9:18 am by Richard Yap
You can play 5 player co-op online, there’s a previous post which goes into more detail http://blog.eu.playstation.com/page/2/?s=socom

Are the hidden ones story related or just too badly designed to tell us?

Could someone please explain, is this yet another Game Mode after Bomb Squad was revealed, meaning the 5th Mode in SOCOM 4 or is this info old and we already had all the details and stuff ???

Not one multiplayer trophy?
…not like people play Socom games for multiplayer -_-

Posted on 7 March, 2011 at 7:44 pm by ObsidianKam
I’m guessing most of the hidden trophies are multiplayer trophies.
That cover could have been pretty good, except for the Playstation Move circle. There really is no point in having “Seize full control of the battlefield” on the front cover.
Any chance of a release date? North America has had one for a while now, and the game is meant to be coming next month.

Does this mean it is Co-Op as in Spliscreen or Online, and has it got an integrated mission creator where we can make any mission we want to design like LBP Level Creator?
Posted on 8 March, 2011 at 9:25 am by Richard Yap
Hi holdentorana74, Co-op is online only, you can tweak various settings in the game, difficulty, number of enemies etc..

Hi Mulukh, Zipper came up with these.

Holden
The Co-Op maps are set missions, I.E retrieve information, kill specific person, kill everyone etc. the host can set certain paramaters like enemy density, enemy A.I etc. however thats pretty much it, he cant change the layout of the map or anything.
FGrom what I’ve read though you can string four or five maps together to create a mini campaign, looks really promising and if they release DLC for this co-op mode could be the mode I play most often.

Any news on release date in Europe yet? Its out next month in America but as of yet still no release date for Europe, is it going to be similiar to the last SOCOM game? I.E we wait four or five months before it gets released.

When this game will be available (different sites gives different day)?

Posted on 8 March, 2011 at 11:24 am by Bumblebee
As a veteran of the SOCOM 1 Beta, I’m disappointed to see the name has changed for Europe. Give me a bit of SOCOM 4, I’ve been waiting for years! Since SOCOM 2! I hope this is worth the wait. PLEASE don’t stiff us on support for this like SCEE did with SOCOM 2 (no extra maps) and SOCOM 3 (just a cack game).
LOVE a bit of SOCOM. I hope this gets promoted properly.
And I REALLY hope that the lobbies are regional again, like they should be for every game but never flippin’ are..

Never tried any of the SOCOM games, but what Zipper need to bring to the PS3 is a return to the FASA Battletech/Mechwarrior universe!!!
It would work perfectly on the PS3 and give us fans of the universe something to get back into.
Just think of the DLC Mech packs we could look forward to each week and the possibilities for Co-Op and Death Match multiplayer!!!

Hopefully Zipper continues to support this game! DLC and tweaks etc, could be a classic if so!

@ Richard Yap, perhaps you could answer the question of when the game is going to be released in the EU, it’s only 6 weeks until the “US” release date and despite many EU gamers asking the question on this blog & on the official Socom forums we are still waiting for an answer.

We don’t announce release dates until the game has gone to master and we’re 100% sure of hitting them.

hi guys im a bit worried for this game as all the trailers ive seen the character jumps and skits about alot and dosent LOOK as if he is part of the game which worries me as every other game ive seen that had trailers like this turned out to be utter [Deleted].
now dont get me wrong i am not hoping for this as ive been looking forward to this for a while especially after socom confrontation is utter and absolute [Deleted] and unplayable so im hoping u guys have put all the QA testing in and i dont want a huge patch on day 1 of release as this is getting out of hand anyway im looking forward to playing as 45 as she looks mean as funk.

hopefully the battlefield team can licence out there revise fifa tech for fluid switch between animations as the characters in b3 look as if there really part of the enviroment and not got vanishing feet or arms or clothing going through the wall there leaned against

Posted on 8 March, 2011 at 1:11 pm by killzonexx
@ ShadowDoGGG mostly us release is a few days before eu releases
second they wont announce release dates becuase whenever things happen that the release date changes people start complaining that they promised that the game would be here.
just wait a few weeks i bet a date will come then!

This game better have XMB status updates unlike MAG, is it really that hard to copy what Modern Warfare 2 does as it shows you what mode your friends are playing. Please include this feature!

@ James Gallagher, Sorry James but that reply makes no sense, the US release date of April 19th was confirmed on the 27th of January. Are you saying the US version is mastered & ready but the EU version is not yet complete?

LMAO so does that mean will get it 6 months like when confrontation came out ?? if so ill be buying american version again as only reason i got a ps3 was for socom. And the last socom was a sham at that.

Posted on 8 March, 2011 at 4:27 pm by Do-_One

Can’t wait for this.. Never got into the series (didn’t like confrontation either) because of the horrible controlls, but now that they fixed those I’m all in..
This looks like the best game so far to play with Move as well, since the gameplay looks a little slower than killzone 3

These Trophies seem fun, can’t wait to try and unlock them.
I really need to buy myself a PlayStation Move because there are some great games you can use the Move with MAG, Killzone 3, Socom Special Forces, etc..
