PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:05 on Wednesday 9 March 2011 until 03:00 on Thursday 10 March 2011, GMT.
During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:
- PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP.
- PlayStation Network Account Management.
- PlayStation Network Account Registration.
In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com. If you wish to play online during the maintenance, please ensure you sign in to PSN before 16:05 on Wednesday 9 March 2011.
During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

In light of this maintenance, The Store will update at 1pm today. PS Plus content is being uploaded at noon, with a couple of extra little bits.

Terrible timing, Sony dudes. What about the weekly PSN store update?
Must we constantly have our downtime arranged for the convenience of the US? Europe is the region that shows the most love to Sony, and we still consistently get the short end of the stick.

It would be only logical to give us the store update a day early as in today!!
I for one will not make it in time to log in and game on-line and now I will miss the MK demo as well. This is unacceptable.

the store be up early before the maintenance hits like it happen last time on a wednesday i know they could do it before SCEA store updates, but as you know when it comes to maintenance there will have to be a loser to suffer that loser is EU region.
this maintenance was long over-due and after Last week store Error it was perfect timeing.

you can tell that to SCEA & SCEJ but i can tell you this they be Pe*d of as well every maintenance we have so Far is at tea-time when SCEA & SCEJ are sleeping.
so as to Not rock the boat with the 2 other regions EU gets shafted like we get shafted with content because we use to it, but that time is a long maintenance.

Why do these always happen at our peak gaming times? I understand it has to be across the world at the same time, but why does it always fall wrong for us? Why can’t it fall wrong for America for once? Or Japan? It always seems to be Europe that gets hit at the peak time. Nothing against you James, i know it’s not your fault.

typical – to be honest playing online or not isn’t the problem – it’s the store updating – some people have been waiting a long time for some games to be released and it’s just not acceptable
so as the US store updates today it’s obviously not a store update nor do I think it’s any type of fix for any of the games from last week like Stardrone which instead of being a game seemed to be a playstation error code generator which was thrilling for half a second
btw according to US blog (reply in regards to Europe) games that won awards recently will be discounted for us as well – let me guess the 11 hour maintence for SCEE to translate American to English or to whatever European language because we might not grasp the cultural significance of the words DUDE or AWESOME
