It’s exciting times here at Codemasters as we’ve officially announced that F1 2011 will be coming to the PS3 on the 23rd September. Not only that, but we’ll be also developing F1 2011 for the NGP too.
F1 2010 marked the long awaited return of FORMULA ONE to consoles, and we we’re very proud to be awarded a BAFTA for our efforts, but we’re not letting that get to our heads and with your help we’re going to make F1 2011 even better.
We’re giving you the unique opportunity to play F1 2011 before anyone else. All you have to do is upload a clip to YouTube asking the developers a question. Maybe you want to know what improvements we’re going to make to the AI, or what new features we’re adding to make multiplayer even better. Whatever your question is, just send your YouTube link to our facebook page.
Your efforts won’t go unnoticed either. We will be hand-picking 20 lucky people and transporting them to our Birmingham, UK Studio. There you will get a studio tour, exclusive hands-on time with the game, and the opportunity to ask your question in person as part of our Developer Diaries.
So get your thinking caps on, and try to be as creative as you can!

Won’t buy a game that have been developed for 1year but maybe maybe I will buy it for NGP.

Maybe you could submit a question about the NGP? How will it compare to the console versions? What NGP specific features will it have?
Anything you want really

How will the UI and time tracking system improve from the previous title maybe moving more to a TV like presentation? I found that to be one of the weakest points.

hmmm i need a camera now got a good question to ask
btw i loved the last game so cant wait for this one
Posted on 31 March, 2011 at 3:49 pm by Benjamin Bateman
Yup, ask your friends and family. Someone’s got to have a camera you can borrow. Don’t worry too much if it’s not a high quality camera. It’s the question and creativity that’s important.

We’re not currently looking at doing a BETA but this is a great opportunity to still get involved.

I don’t use FB, but I’ll ask here:
I didn’t buy F1 2010 for two reasons:
- To me this development studio is still unproven, which is why I require a demo to even consider buying the game. Too many awesome proven games to gamble.
- When it was released, I was no longer exited to play the game for a season that was at the time pretty much over.
So my question:
Most sports games are usually released close to the beginning of the season, but why are you again releasing your F1 game close to the end of the season?
What I used to do back in the day was racing Micropose’s Grand Prix 2 and 3 on the PC, mod it to get the drivers and circuits up to date, then race in the game the race which they actually drove IRL.
I’d love to play an F1 game like this again, where I’d already have the game before the first race, then with modern technology each drivers performance on each race could be updated in the game, allowing me to race my own season from start with AI performances similar to IRL.
Having each driver’s performance on each track roughly match their IRL performance could also make for some interesting challenges:
Could I have jumped into the 2010 season as Lewis with four races to go and won the championship?

I was not expecting a second F1 game by Codemasters! :O Amazing! I’ll defiantly be buying this, this year!

You could attempt a more in-depth management mode than GT5 with more driver commands and pit setups. Direct touchscreen management on NGP instead of dpad’ing around buttons.

Here’s a question ?….
Why don’t you offer a DLC update for say £6.99 for F1 2010, updating the drivers and teams. That would satify a huge number of gamers like myself who already own F1 2010 but probably won’t be spending another £35 on F1 2011.
The die-hard F1 fans who wants KERS and other gameplay additions can choose to buy the full F1 2011 game if they desire.
PS. I have a sneaking suspicion the answer includes “licensing” and “revenue streams”.

And will all the victims from the F1 2010 BETA that code”masters” sold get a free update to a working game?

Some great questions, but remember to win an opportunity to come and play F1 2011 early you need to submit your question on Facebook.

Will you fully remove the horrible “yellow” filter? I wont even consider the game unless it’s fully removed.

Benjamin: In my case, I wasn’t asking because I wanted to enter some competition, I was asking because I was hoping to get some answers…

@whoismilan / 23
Code”master” only replies to compliments. Not to questions that are valid but sound negative to them or could confirm that there was something wrong with their game.

I’ve one question: Since the official season didn’t started in Bahrein this year, will this circuit be still in the game?
Or if the FIA decides to lengthen the season with Bahrein, will the F1 season in the game be still correct?
