Hello all – first of all I apologise for not getting around to commenting last week, even the best intentions sometimes get side-tracked by enormous workloads. I am definitely here this afternoon (well, there’s one meeting but I won’t be gone too long) so speak your mind and I will answer – so it is written, so it shall be.
Well then, aside from the glut of Special Offers available from today (and tomorrow), what else do we have for you?
Two new PSN games hit today for PS3 owners, complete with trials – the much anticipated Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes (20% day-one discount for Plussers) and Konami’s classic franchise reboot of Rush n’ Attack: Ex Patriot.
We’ve also got loads of DLC for retail and digital releases, allowing you to expand your play time with Moon Diver, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Funky Lab Rat and Bulletstorm to name but a few.
An exciting new range of XMB customisation options launches in the form of ‘The Studio’ – a brand new set of dynamic and premium themes designed by the hottest artists around, including Anthony Burrill, Mr Jago and Rexbox (who’s work you might recognise from LBP). They’re pretty funky themes and Plus members not only get a free theme, but a blanket discount on all current and future ‘The Studio’ themes. How generous is that?!
Also, be nice to me today, it’s my birthday. See you in the comments!

Happy Birthday Ross!
When are they going to release Tomb Raider II? It’s the only PSOne Tomb Raider missing at the Store.

Ross, are the Rockstar avatars released on the New Zealand store? We have been asking for weeks now and you said you were asking the Rockstar manager and would get back to us? What’s the deal it’s been weeks and weeks now.
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 2:59 pm by Ross McGrath
I am chasing this again right now – I’m going to speak with Rockstar directly, get the data released back to them so they can update the availale countries and if I can get them pushed live this week (not today but before Friday) then I will do just that.
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 3:39 pm by Ross McGrath
I’ve spoken to Rockstar – this is in hand, they’re making the necessary alterations to the data and we’ll get them live as soon as we can.

But where is Patapon 3 ?
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 3:02 pm by Ross McGrath
Patapon 3 is out in the UK on Friday (15th), and mainland Europe next Wednesday, which is when we’ll be publishing to the Store.

I’ll take Rush N Attack. To hell with the reveiws I’ve seen. I downloaded the demo a couple weeks back off the US store and enjoyed it muchly. Far more entertaining than Bionic Commando was anyways.
I’ll make use of the sale to finally obtain Watchmen part 1. Never much liked the comic and didn’t like the movie but the game is good quality brutal fun and co op too.

Any chance on getting Speed Freaks PS1 classic on the store anytime soon?
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 3:41 pm by Ross McGrath
It’s on the SCEE internal PSone classics list for processing, so sometime yes, but this one isn’t as high a priority as Legend of Dragoon!

Happy Birthday
Why was Back to the future Episode 2 not mentioned in last weeks update but was on the store? are we going to be informed when new episodes get released?
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 3:45 pm by Ross McGrath
It was a very late submission, we managed to getti through QA and all sorted at the last minute and I wasn’t around to let you know. If you go back and look, it’s been added right at the bottom of the content list – sorry you guys weren’t better informed.

Any chance of a blog post about new stuff on the Video Store? Quite poor that we get a post one month then not another one for a long time after it.
BTW, Happy Birthday.
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 3:47 pm by Ross McGrath
I’m sorry, the Video Store is a seperate team. I will pass on your feedback though.

Dear Ross
I would like to thank you for all your hard work. I know that it is your job to post these things, but it’s also great to see you answering to most of our questions in the comment section. I do have a simple request myself, though I am aware that you are not in a position to ‘create’ these things. Maybe you can pass them the suggestions, so they can do something with it?
I would LOVE to see avatars from these franchises:
-Bioshock (Big Daddy, Andrew Ryan, Subject Delta)
-Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Starkiller, Darth Vader)
-God of War (Kratos, Zeus, Poseidon, Hades)
-Dante’s Inferno (Dante, Satan)
-Darksiders (War, The Watcher)
-Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (Gabriel,God or Devil mask)
-Sly Cooper (Sly, Panda King)
-Mass Effect (Shepard, Garrus, Grunt)
-Enslaved (Monkey)
-Dead Space (Isaac, Necromorphs, the Marker logo, …)
-inFAMOUS (Good Cole, Evil Cole)
-Final Fantasy XIII
I hope I get a reply from you!
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 3:51 pm by Ross McGrath
Howdy dowdy,
Well, I’ve requested Bioshock avatars from 2K and I’m seeing Namco Bandai next week, so I can ask them about Enslaved then.
As for the first-party avatars, I’ll chase them down and see what we can do!
Good list by the way, lots of top notch characters.

Hey, you know when the Ultra Complete Costume Pack is released for Super Street Fighter IV, do you reckon that we could get both the Super & Ultra Complete Costume Pack’s in a bundle for £20 or less?
Or atleast a discount on the Super Costume Pack so that you can buy both of the pack’s separately for £20 or less?
Considering Arcade Edition is gonna be released, it would be a good deal
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 3:52 pm by Ross McGrath
I’ll ask Capcom about it – thanks for the feedback!

Happy Birthday Ross!
Nowt much for the PSP (sales and DLC aside). Also, are those dynamic themes really for PSP?
Lunar is good for £10. If you’re looking for somethingon the PSP, that’s one suggestion. Traditional JRPG with a good story
Speaking of which, do you know anything about a PSN release for Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky from XSeed?

hey hey
still no Hoard or Undersiege ? :”’(
With the inclusion of the Spring Update thread will there be a seperate blog entry for the sales ?
To blog the same information twice seems wastefull.
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 4:31 pm by Ross McGrath
We only have additional sale blog posts for the larger sales. I don’t think promotional information is ever wasteful is it?
STOP BLOGGING, YOU’RE WASTING THE INTERNETZ!!

Hi Ross hav a quick question. do you know when we will recieve Marvel V Capcom avatars? and also i just want to say that i seen some of the comments yesterday when you released the news on the spring offers and i just want to say some people should just relax and stop shooting the messenger lol. keep the good work up Ross and dont stop your sarcasm ways lol.
Posted on 13 April, 2011 at 4:36 pm by Ross McGrath
Well, I do apologise for upsetting anyone and just remember that sometimes I can’t always answer every question in the way you’d like.
The Capcom avatars are starting to filter in, but I’m not sure about MvC3 ones, I’ll find out.
