When I was younger I dreamed of being a bus conductor because I wanted to travel with my job. This week was similar in another way: Monday and Tuesday were a bit quiet and then whoosh, eight posts on Wednesday. For that reason, this week’s recap is well worth a scan for something you might have missed, such as The Studio, a new initiative where we will be releasing digital art for your XMB; Killzone 3 action figures; new details of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One; and my account of a conversation I had with Yoshinori Ono, where he reveals how Street Fighter X Tekken came to be. Get clicking…

Steam on PS3 is by far the most exciting news for me. I can not wait to play Portal 2 and check Steam on PS3 out, it’s going to very interesting and I hope it kicks as much butt as it does on PC.
I’m sorry to say, I’m skipping SOCOM, sick of shooters and SOCOM doesn’t particularly look like a good one (just “ok”). Very cool feature to have your team-mates speak in your local accent/ language though.
Other than that, have a good weekend folks at Sony.

I can’t wait too, especially as my flatmate will be playing downstairs on his PC and I can join in upstairs on the PlayStation.

I agree with the above. Steam will be fantastic on the PS3 system when Portal 2 comes out!

I’ve become addicted to Dungeon Hunter: Alliance this week, lots of fun playing co-op on and offline. Also James, is the Friday Debate no more?

It’s taking a break for a while as I’m working on something similar, but better. Nearly there…

What #2 said. I bought Plus just for this Beta…I have a Platinum, and I’m one big, obsessed fan of the inFAMOUS franchise.
Please Sony, my birthday’s coming up (May 3rd)…Could you be so kind as to offer me a code ? It would be the best birthday gift ever !

Sucker Punch said they’ve only sent out 10% of the codes so far, so still many many more to go out guys!
Anyway. Looking forward to Portal 2 this week. The Valve posts on the blog this week got me extra excited

James: could you please get those responsible for not releasing “Infamous 2: Hero Edition” in Norway (and from what it seems, many other places in Europe) to the blog and tell us why?
Really disappointed to see that almost all the CE from Sony exclusive titles that I want doesn’t get released here… Yet multi-platform titles always manages to…

I seen the Infamous 2: Hero Edition on Gamestop.ie for €129.99. I will wait until the UK site has it and see is it much cheaper. GAME are selling the collecters edition now.

What it’s like to play Patapon 3… I don’t know, I thought it was meant to be coming out yesterday.
Will we have to wait long to get marching to the sound of the drums?
It’s not too bad though as Portal 2 will be in mine within a week

Yeah, so does anyone know of any UK retailer that’s currently selling inFAMOUS 2′s Hero Edition ? Thanks a lot.

@ BigBoss587
None have mentioned it yet. I don’t know why there is a hold up on pre-orders but in the US it appeared on amazon before it was even announced on the blog. Seriously I don’t know why they wait. The Ratchet and Clank CE appeared 2 weeks before release. It is a Joke.

@ Lucreto: Atleast you’re getting it. I would gladly pay that price to have it… cause if I’ll import it from anywhere else it’ll be that price anyway. But I got an answer from a couple stores in Norway saying they’ve recieved information that it won’t be released here. Just the Special Edition…

OG psp needs some loving. currently got tetris on it.
i have peace walker and graw2 but i want to put all my psn+ minis on it. whats the deal with charging same price as in store for downloadable games. i prefer boxed games in everyway except on psp because tbh i have a lot bluray games on my shelf and psp games get in the way.

I still think NGP is a stupid name, because it becomes wrong once the Next-NGP becomes released, what slogan will that have?
“Based on the NGP portable”? (Based on the Next Generation Portable portable?)
Reminds me of Win 2000 “Based on NT Technology” (based on New Technology Technology )

What #17 said.
I have my platinum for like a year now, at least 20 hours of gameplay (Could be more) and a hell of a lot of love for the franchise.
Sony, please…I beg you ! Give me a beta voucher, please !!!

Yes, I found it difficult to stay tuned-in with everything that was happening on Wednesday.
I’m sure everyone here knows it’s usually very busy on that day with the Store updates alone – so the Recap is particularly appreciated this week.
However, I find myself dreaming of how easier it might be if our Blog was similar to the US’s (newly redesigned Blog).
Can we expect some changes along these lines, James?
Also, thanks for all the improvements I’ve noticed in the PSStore!
Thank you, I hope you all had a great weekend.

It’s an interesting one that… I don’t think we need to make wholesale changes to the look of the blog, personally. However, I do think we need to have more spaces to highlight big stories. I’m putting together a list of potential improvements but they will be subtle. There won’t be a full redesign any time soon because I don’t think we need it.

@ Battery-Acid
A lot of people are complaining about the US Blog layout. I stopped going to it as it looks and feels cluttered. I like the simple easy on the eye look that we have.
Speaking of the store I don’t like the layout in “whats new” it makes it harder to find anything. I looked through it and I missed back to the future episode 2 under the old format is would be impossible to miss.

I also dislike the new store layout. A lot of new content went unnoticed by me last week

When are we likely to receive another demoscene project?
…same question goes to any new PS3 music visualisations (besides PJ Lifelike).
