Meanwhile, the folks at Lockwood have sent over the following detailing their latest update:

Fool Throttle is back with a vengeance!

After the sedate adventures of the Bunny Baron, Lockwood are bouncing back with something a little more high octane in the form of a fantasy dress-up twist to two well-known uniforms.

With a wicked cut and sassy style you won’t find our police woman and naval officer reporting for duty in any unit or fleet. The word around Home is they went rogue, playing by their own rules. So you would think these no-nonsense ladies would keep a low profile and conform to the norm.

Low profile? Ha! Officer Offbeat and Admiral Admired intend to become world fashion icons who are worshipped as goddesses. Think you have what it takes to pull off this look? The gauntlet is thrown! Admiral Admired and Officer Offbeat outfits are available as value packs for those who accept the challenge.

Valve Reveals Portal 2 For PlayStation 3: Steam Details

EnglishSelect a Language:

A few months back, Valve announced some initial details of Steam’s debut in the version of Portal 2. While people were excited to hear about the PS3 game’s inclusion of Steam access to Portal 2 on any PC or Mac, they also had a bunch of questions.

So, here’s a bit more info about Steam on the PS3.

excursion_funnel

Portal 2 for PlayStation 3 is the first title to support Steam on a console. Specifically, that means it offers cross-platform matchmaking, gameplay, friends, chat, and achievements, all powered by Steam. Steam on the PS3 also saves co-op game progress and single player saved games to the Steam Cloud, enabling players to pick up where they left off on any PlayStation 3.

Steam makes its appearance on the PS3 as an overlay within Portal 2. Here, the Steam overlay provides access to Steam Friends, displaying their in-game or online status and providing a quick pathway to text chats, player profiles, friend requests, and game invites. Steam Achievements are earned in lockstep with PSN Trophies and are also accessible within the Steam overlay.

Steam on the PS3 provides access to all of these features once the player has linked their PlayStation Network account with a Steam account, which is done right within the game. A Steam user can login to an existing account, and anyone new to Steam can create an account with the click of a button.

With all these features, Portal 2 on the PS3 is the best console version of the game, just as it was suggested it would be back at E3 last year. If you’re still hungry for more details, head over to steampowered.com and learn more about Portal 2 for PS3.

Portal 2 will be available from next Tuesday, April 19th.

New Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One Details Revealed

EnglishSelect a Language:

Yesterday in Los Angeles, we presented a new demo of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One to an audience of US and European journalists. While we presented some new levels and weapons/gadgets, we also wanted to show once again that All 4 One is a sprawling new Ratchet & Clank adventure, with a full story, big arsenal, and tons of co-op mayhem. Further, in All 4 One, we like to say there’s an “I” in team: work together, but reward yourself. You all have to help each other out, but at the same time, the winner will earn the best rewards and get the first chance to buy the newest weapons in the game.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - Terawatt guardian

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - Creature CollectionRatchet & Clank: All 4 One - Terawatt shard

We illustrated this in a new level of the game, set in the Terawatt Forest on Planet Magnus. It’s the home of a scientist named Dr. Croid — who holds the key to the mystery of the Creature Collector. The plants and animals here are mutated thanks to the presence of a strange meteor – and players will also have to look out for Dr. Croid’s giant Guardian robots that patrol the area (which you’ll see in the video above!).

As we showed previously, all the weapons have a co-op function to them. For instance, if everyone uses the new Darkstar Fission Rifle at the same time, it amplifies the effect – and we give players a bolt multiplier for co-op kills. But we also reward players for specializing. For instance, Ratchet can use the Arc Lasher to stun enemies while Clank finishes them off with the War Monger rocket launcher.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - Thundersmack

Many of you have asked if each of the characters will play differently in All 4 One. For the first time yesterday, we showed that each of our characters will have a special gadget that only they can use. These gadgets are special, powerful, and can turn the tide of a battle. For instance, Ratchet can use his Doppelbanger ability to create a decoy that draws enemy fire – but it’ll also upgrade over time into a powerful Turret. Clank, meanwhile, has a Time Bomb that highlights his Zoni heritage and also allows him to slow a fast enemy or extend the amount of time the team has to revive a fallen comrade.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is on course for a 2011 release and can be played by one to four players, with drop-in, drop-out co-op that can be enjoyed same-screen or online (and in any combination of online/same-screen players as well!). Helghast Invade Your Toy Shelf!

EnglishSelect a Language:

Countries: , , , ,

Ever since we announced the Killzone 3 Helghast Edition, one of the questions we’ve been asked most frequently is “will there be more Killzone action figures?” Today, we can answer that question with a proud and unequivocal yes.

03

Today will see the release of Killzone Series 1, an action figure series consisting of the Helghast Assault Infantry and the uncloaked Helghast Sniper. Creator DC Unlimited is no strangers to PlayStation properties: Last year, it released awesome plastic renditions of the characters from Ratchet & Clank and Resistance.

This time, DC Unlimited has turned its exquisite attention for detail to two of Killzone’s most recognizable antagonists – the Helghast Assault Infantry and the Helghast Sniper:

06 07

Standing at 6.5″ high, each action figure comes with multiple points of articulation and a faithful reproduction of the character’s in-game weapon. As owners of the partially cloaked Sniper figure from the Killzone 3 Helghast Edition can attest, these figures boast realistic sculpts based directly on character art by Guerrilla, as well as paint apps so detailed they include the individual rivets on the uniforms.

Whether you’re a Killzone fan, completist or toy collector, Killzone Series 1 will make a great addition to your toy shelf. Look for it at your local comic book shop and online retailers today.
