We love 3D and we love Blu-ray. You love competitions (I hope)- mix them altogether with a suitably humorous, high octane movie and we’re in business.
So to celebrate the launch of The Green Hornet in 3D on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD, we’re giving away some amazing prizes. All you have to do is visit the competition page on eu.playstation.com and answer one very simple question. One winner will get a Sony 3D TV as well as a copy of The Green Hornet on Blu-ray 3D to get you started. One runner up will win a European exclusive copy of The Daily Sentinel newspaper (as featured in the film) and a copy of the film on Blu-ray Disc.
Good luck!
Please note that this competition is open to participants in UK, France, Germany and Spain aged 16 or over. Closing date is 30th May.

so we cant enter if were in australia????
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:35 pm by Clare Sandford
Hi JonnyPauz
I’m afraid not. Certain legal restrictions make it difficult to run competition in certain countries on a central level

Hi Everyone – just to note that the closing date has been extended to 13th June

You’ve got AU listed under countries but when I click your link I get “There are currently no open competitions. Please check back for chances to win great prizes with PlayStation.”

For some reason the site thinks I live in Ireland when I’m quite blatently in the UK. Really annoying.

I always like these competition posts, where every comment is “but my country is in Europe too.”
Makes for great reading

i’ve entered although i’m sceptical of the competitions on Sony’s websites. over 4 years i’ve entered these compo’s give or take a few missed here and there and so far too date never won one and never known anyone who’s won either. Heres hoping.
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:38 pm by Clare Sandford
Hi Dante_Zero
Keep trying – entries with the correct answer are entered into a draw and the winner is selected at random. Cross all your fingers and toes : )

Why is Australia missed all the time, we are a major country and we always get ripped off. Also why is Australia a part of the Europe Region of PSN anyway we almost couldn’t get any further away from Europe.

Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:15 pm by Deadon-HD
Seriously Sony/PlayStation… if you gonna make a competition you either include ALL countries that form Europe or just simply do nothing =/ cause I’m fed up watching competitions being intended only to big countries… already dont have a PS store in Malta and to be able to download a demo of a game had to create a UK account so please we are loyal customers as the rest!

Hi polynski
If you in you will be contacted at your email registered to your PSN account. We’ll ask for your details so we can send you your prize (you don’t need to come in to collect anything)

I agree whit you Deadon-HD (Post NR34)
If they are going to hold contests like this one. They should be open for all countries in Europa, Or not have been hold at all.
37
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:24 pm by polynski
i think those countries arent liable due to shipping reasons dont blame the competition people blame your countries
38
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:25 pm by mnemonic-dk
Like others, I’m less than impressed that this is only available to users from the “big” EU countries.
I notice that the competition page is able to detect if you’re not eligible to enter a competition. Could you please fix the blog so that the notice about the competition is only displayed to those who can actually enter it.
In other words, stop wasting our time. I understand that you want the advertising value of the competition, but you just made me choose an Panasonic Viera VT30 TV when I discovered that I couldn’t participate in the competition when I followed the link from the blog post.

polynski (post 38) I don’t agree with you, why shipping could be of a problem when I just all my games from UK and they usually take around 4-6 days to arrive? so how Sony, a big company as they, will have problems with shipping to ship to certain countries?
At least they could name their competition to “Competition UK” not Competition Europe, you get so excited omg omg its a 3D tv I can win!!! then scroll a bit down while reading the instructions and finds out that the competition is only for UK/Germany/France and so on… when I was at primary school during Geography lessons I remember the map of Europe which consisted much more than just 4/5 countries, or maybe Sony’s map there’s only countries listed in where there is the real cash? (big population = big money if you get what I mean)

Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:47 pm by polynski
eu is like 69 countries
41
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:53 pm by polynski
satisfying such a large amount of countries is bound to be hard and not all countries have the same laws and the 5 countries mentioned are just more open minded to competition
42
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:56 pm by laro87
what about ireland????????
43
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:57 pm by Deadon-HD
52 countries as I know…
so what happened from the rest of the countries? is it possible by your argument that there is no shipping complications only in 5 countries out of 52/69 whatever?
44
Posted on 25 May, 2011 at 1:59 pm by polynski

@polynski – How come amazon is able to take care of shipping?
And don’t forget services of UPS, DHL etc – they probably in all EU countries so Sony, for once could TRY more than nothing, like now.
chrono_pl – On myśli Polska, a mówi Tyskie
