We are pleased to announce that this week we will be releasing the PlayStation Home Europe Welcome Back package. As a big thank you for your patience during the recent PSN outage and to welcome you back to PlayStation Home, we’re giving you early access to a package of brand new content, available for you to download absolutely free from 30th June to 28th July 2011. The total value of the package is over €85 / £65** and consists of the following:
- Anime Style Apartment
- Anime themed clothing and furniture sets
- Paris Modern Office furniture set
- nDreams Big Bash party bundle
- nDreams Fantasy Fashion and Funkster costumes
- Aurora OrbRunner Booster Bundle
- A cuddly Stitchkins Bunny Toy from Lockwood
- A Midway Green ticket (50 plays)
- Cardboard Cartel Furniture from Codeglue
- Fortune Cookie active item
- A selection of Tops, Shirts, Skirts, High-top trainers and glasses
- Go Fish – a new, free-to-play fishing game based in the Shopping Centre
With the exception of Go Fish, all of the above will be available in Home Square.*
*Users must be aged 16 or over to enter PlayStation Home. PlayStation Home may not be available in all languages and countries – see eu.playstation.com/legal for more information.
**Based on intended PlayStation Store retail price at launch on 28th July 2011.
The Anime apartment consists of a control station and launch pad, set amongst a bustling cyber-punk cityscape – combined with matching furniture and outfits, it’s perfect for the otaku in all of us!
Following on from our recent Paris Clock Tower and furniture releases, the Paris Modern Office Set will add a contemporary and professional look to any personal space.
The huge 22 item nDreams Big Bash party bundle is essential for throwing a fantastic party in your apartment including working smoke machines, balloons, lights, seats, presents, food and drink. There are three gorgeous highly-detailed additions to the popular Fantasy Fashion range, consisting of male and female ‘Savages’ costumes plus a female ‘Amazonian Tribal’ costume. Strike fear into your foes or simply show off your Amazonian figure – it’s up to you. For something a little more groovy, there are two Funkster costume bundles.
Also from nDreams this week, Aurora 1.1 is the first major update to the beautiful Aurora space, and includes the nDreams Collect-O-Rama, more rewards, an Auroralite Hoody, daily XP bonuses, a teaser for Aurora 1.2 (coming soon!) and a few other changes and fixes. The Collect-O-Rama allows players to win a mega pack containing 7 unique items including two bodyguard companions and the enormous Flying Donut of Death! The Orb Runner Booster bundle is available as part of the Welcome Back package and will give you that extra edge on the Orb Runner minigame.
Go Fish is a brand new free-to-play fishing game, taking up residence in the Shopping Centre. Every player receives a free aquarium to place in your apartment and show off your collection. Cast off and wrestle with a variety of exotic fish ranging from the Psychedelic Leery to the Toxic Moofty and the Tribal Tatsnarf. Catch them all and receive the coveted Underwater Apartment absolutely free!
Other items in the Welcome Back package include a Green Ticket, allowing 50 plays in the ever popular Midway carnival, a cute and cuddly Stitchkin toy from Lockwood and a selection of Codeglue cardboard furniture that gives a whole new meaning to ‘shabby chic’. There’s also the wisdom of an interactive fortune cookie, plus a wide selection of casual clothing for those looking to update their wardrobe.
Elsewhere in PlayStation Home this week, Lockwood celebrate the Global Launch of Sodium 2 with a bonanza batch of content. Soft woollen clothing, Sodium-salvaged modern metal furniture and a smooth 50′s Diner set Cucumber-style!
Remember those cheesy nineties knitwear fashion campaigns? You know, the black and white ones with people checking their watches on windswept beaches wearing cream cable-knit cardigans. Those days are gone. Lockwood brings the humble sheep’s fleece up to date with chic hooded dresses and smart wool trousers paired with shawl neck jumpers.
The 1950s are also given a reboot in the latest Cucumber furniture set. If you’re looking to create an apple pie perfect slice of Americana in your apartment, then this is what you need.
Sodium’s salvage specialists are also recycling, but they’ve assembled Sentry Chairs and their accompanying tables from tank parts and hover discs rather than vintage diner seats and counters. Old children’s toys are becoming the most sought after ornaments in Sodium, with mint condition Drilldozers selling for a pretty penny on the black market. Don’t buy from some guy you met in Scorpio’s – pick one up in the store for a fair price.
And as if all that isn’t enough, head to Sodium2 this weekend for a double XP extravaganza! For a limited time only you’ll be able to work your way up the ranks twice as fast.

is that it 1 apartment once again SCEE you shafted us again i like some of the items the Ndreams ones and that personal space but SCEA had 2 apartments Not 1.
SCEE got a funny way saying it‘s Fair throw in dragon‘s lair personal space and items that they got & we even that is fair.
dont forget they had 100 or over items how many on that list, it is rather vague.

Given that I rarely access Home, so being deprived of it had little to no impact on me, I’m totally pleased with this offering.
So SCEA gave away two apartments, so what? It just means that they’ve got more stuff to not use than me.
There’s loads of content here, more than I will probably ever use.

@3, you can still access the psp games and I hope you read this message as soon as possible because you only got till sunday to get them, to access them go on:
PlayStation Network > Account Management > Transaction Management > Service List > PlayStation Network Promotions and you will find something called PSP free games or whatsoever and from there you will get it.
Note: if you already did that and picked the games, have you tried checking the download history/list?

I’m SO glad we didnt het the Dragon’s Lair that USA got, omg that place is HORRIBLE, it looks as if someone decided 100% yellow & orange is AWSOME. It looks like baby puke.
I have the Aurora goggles, but everything else is AWSOME !!!!
Thanx again, you’re making my winter in SA really hot.

Hey James,
Have another question for you or Ross, This question is about the F.3.A.R. exclusive in-game weapon: The Hammer, i recently picked up my collectors edition today, and i put in the online pass and it redeemed straight away but, the exclusive in-game weapon: The Hammer code didn’t redeemed i want to know if it has been put in the store because i read something about the Online pass not being on there in time.
Thanks, Cloud

if i was a 6 year old girl i might get excited. Well seeing that im a 28 year old male im pretty [Deleted] off.
ive been a playstation owner since 1995, so over the years i have spent THOUSANDS on consoles, games and add ons. The welcome back package was a joke, the choice of 2 free games from 5, i only downloaded 1, the rest i already platinimed due to the fact they were almost 3 yrs old. tut tut sony, once again i feel like i have been buggered. when the next gen console comes out i will probably go to Bill Gates Xbox, im pretty sure microsoft knows how to look after customers.

Well, people are never satisfied…
They could give us a €20 / £20 PSN card and people would have said “oh 20 is very little, I want 50″ by the other hand they could give us a €50 / £50 PSN card and again they would have said “oh 50 isn´t enough”
I see all this stuff as below…
There´s a restaurant that everyday offers meals like a sandwich and coffe for free but if you don´t like that you can always order from the menu and pay for it. Some day the restaurant got in fire and have to close for obvious reasons, lol. So it takes ages to re-open but the restaurant people said that there will be free meals from the menu as a big thank for the patiance during the inicident and welcome you back to the restaurant.
So, do they have the obligation to give us what we want and not pay for it…
Note, I´m just talking about PSHome and not the PSN outage.

cyber punk themed appartment? F yeah!
40
Posted on 29 June, 2011 at 6:43 pm by FortyPercent
Err… ‘Anime’ apartment? It looks like any standard futuristic/cyberpunk design.
I don’t see how ‘anime’ is relevant to it at all, unless it’s based on a particular work I’m not recognizing… which I would assume you’d mention if it was. Don’t get me wrong, not complaining about the free content, I just don’t quite understand why that room would be named the ‘Anime apartment’ or be called ‘Anime themed’. ‘Anime’ refers to any animated work from Japan, and a small fraction of those, as with any other mediums, is of any single genre, theme, setting etc.
I was actually kind of hoping by ‘anime’ you meant we’d be getting some of the Home items that were tied in to certain anime like the Black Rock Shooter items that were only available on the Japanese store, but I suppose that was wishful thinking.
That said, I still think this is great, free content is always appreciated, and this is a lot of furniture to play with. This’ll keep me decorating my Home for a while.
