Okay, we’ve teased you for long enough. We showed you a teaser on PlayStation’s E3 stage. We leaked out dribs and drabs of content over the past few weeks. Yeah, we’re S.O.Bs. But we’re S.O.Bs with an expiration date! And today’s that date.
Here it is, a video of the full demonstration that we showed to the press at E3, all 15 minutes of it. We’d love to know what you think at our forums at http://irrationalgames.com/community/forums/.

Looking forward to this, I have an unrelated question, I don’t think I am going to get a reply on this post so if anyone reading the blog can answer my question I would really appreciate it. Does the digital version of AC1 have trophy support? I know the retail version doesn’t but I’m hoping it’s been implemented for the digital version, thank you in advance for whoever answers me.

I understand this is the demo, but it looks HORRIBLE compared to the xbox E3 15 min video 2K posted on their You Tube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/2KGames

Actually I take that back. The early scenes, the PS3 looks far better. The action stuff around the 10 min mark, the xbox looks far better. Guess I should go back to not caring.

As people say if it Is a lazy port, we won’t buy it there are enough Sony exclusives to make the world go round.

Am currently playing through the first Bioshock (always been interested in it, but seeing Bioshock Infinite made me want to play the first two).
Gotta say, this looks fantastic. It looks a lot more like they’ve focused it on being an FPS, whereas from what I’ve played of the first two, the lack of health etc means you are constantly having to plan. This looks a lot more like “get in there, shoot them all”. I can’t remember facing so many enemies on Bioshock as it shows in this video.
Anyone else see the Star Wars reference through the tear that she opens, before the vehicle starts thundering towards them?

i remember when i saw the first bioshock trailer (for the first game) exciting stuff only to find out it was an xbox exclusive i was gutted. lets hope they dont pull that crap with dlc or whatever. yes i know we got exclusive dlc challenge rooms for 1 as a sorry for the year wait. ken levine is awesome a creative director with such passion i love it. and cant wait to play the demo if there is one, will there be one??

@toxic-inferno
the video makes it look like that yes but i assure you i wont be all run n gun like you say planning your next move is what bioshock is all about. its not survival horror but i tries to be at times which is what draws me to it like in the other games i would set a trap for a big daddy buy moving red barrel ect.. watching it’s route then bam! its nearly dead before i even fire a gren at it this was an essential tactic when going for the “i choose the impossible” & “big brass balls” trophies (no vita chambers on hard) anyway it was an awesome feeling hunted becomes the hunter type thing.

also loved the touch “revenge of the jedi” lol that be a good film crosing the 6th film with the 3rd film just to avoid lucas and his undead jedi army lol but it gives a idea to the date they go to in that scene about 1983 jedi came out so….

if you trying to go for “big brass balls” & “i chose the impossible” you can switch of the vital chambers on the options menu, so you dont mistakenly use them when you get flatten by big daddy.
nothing worse then a good run on very hard only a silly mistake to wreak the trophies lol

*oh yes & save often my friend also told me that the 1st big daddy is vulnerable to fire.

CLANG! Thats the sound of the death knell of another of my favourite ps3 games. Please take the bioshock name off this and release it as another gimmicky hi octane shooter. I really despair of todays devs, it looks about as appropriate as a bioshock karting game. For a game that never needed a sequel in the first place and relied on atmos and storyline, this looks just horrendous.

@redeyedronin.
sorry if i upset you by differing with your world view but you have to accept that in a free society disagreements like this are going to occur quite frequently, each has an opinion as valid as one another. The key is not to let these differences get to you lest you end up a bitter old man. lol

@ Lucreto thanks i didn’t know that but that can’t be right set in 1910 the city look set in future look, i think of 1910 as dirty disease ridden places like 1888.
Bioshock-1 got away with it being future look as it was 1960 still unbelievable but not like 1910.
@ RedeyedRonin thanks i also going to used armour penetrate bullets too, i‘m starting on easy a speed run get my powerful upgrades plasmids weapons then carry them over on saviour.
i had a terrible time once i started 1st on saviour & lost my gamesaves years back but cloud storage is here so have a easily time.

Oh, wow. I haven’t been so blown away by game footage ever. Not even THAT Uncharted 2 reveal footage blew my mind like this has.
Bioshock is easily in my top 3 favourite games, and Bioshock 2 is my favourite multiplayer game, so I’m expecting big things from Infinite…
At the moment I’ve got more questions than answers from that video, but I don’t want to ask them. I hope the story is as great as the first game- it blew EVERYTHING else into dust, especially with THAT twist.
Can’t wait! Oh, and I know I’m being especially greedy with this question but is there any info to be released on the Bioshock PS Vita project?

This will probably be one of the best games ever.
I’m glad I’m getting it on PC though, the amount of screen tearing in that video is ridiculous, let’s hope they improve that frame-rate.

Looks fantastic, really looking forward to this. If the jump to the 1980s is what they’re showing in a demo a good amount of time before launch I can’t wait to see what other craziness is going into the full game.
Oh and for people asking, Infinite is set in 1912.

Oh my god !
I played the first Bioshock, did not play the second one, but Infinite…It just looks amazing. I’m really excited to play it. Loved the reference to Star Wars, just goes to show that Irrational Games is full of geeks like us (Which is a good thing !)
BTW, is this one supposed to have multiplayer or is it going to be Single-Player only ?

@grizla75
im not bitter at all its you that are bitter my friend your the only person on this post to say anything negative about the best in show at e3 game above. people like you need to stop playing games because you clearly cant be happy with a game that is clearly a masterpiece you have to pick at it. i acually feel sorry for you like the people who listen to pop music or people playing really really crap and outdated games like turok or idk i tend not to remember the rubbish haze, HAZE there you go worst game ever! no wait fightbox for the ps2 that got 1 out of 10 ha ha lol

Thanks for the video!
Already saw the premiere on GTTV/Gametrailers, but as is normal for them, they ALWAYS show the 360 version.
I find their obvious favouritism appalling, it is really impossible to not notice that on Gametrailers, 95% of all multiplattform reviews are always on xbox 360.
How can they get through with this?
This makes them look like cheap fanboys, even if their review scores have really improved in regard to plattform neutrality.
So it’s nice to see this – great – demo with the PS3 button layout – for a change.

This looks AMAZING. Consider me sold.
But… I really, really hope the fire butons aren’t on the bottom triggers. This ruined Bioshock 1 for me… fire button has to be on R1 (and L1) NOT R2 & L2! I gave up on Bioshock 1 because every time something jumped me I’d end up bringing up the bloody inventory wheel. A simple option to switch would have been great.
Another game, unrelated to this topic, with control issues is Beyond Good & Evil HD… I hate that when you reverse the camera, left & right become inverted too. It makes it impossible to control for me, hence I have hardly touched it. Why can’t more game devs cover ALL bases when it comes to controls? It’s frustrating when a game with so much love & care put into it becomes a pain to play purely because of ill-thought out controls. Particularly in this day and age when games are patchable. Kudos to Red Dead Redemption which did actually fix the R1/R2 swap in a patch… I wish Bioshock 1 would do likewise!
