Hey there PlayStation Assassins!
Aren’t you LUCKY?! We have just announced that PS+ members and Uplay members get access to the Assassin’s Creed Revelations BETA on September 3rd. Seriously, this is happening! Here is a quick glimpse of some of the things you can expect to experience in the ACR BETA (a much, much more detailed list is available in our forums).
CHARACTERS
Nine characters are available in the BETA which are all unlocked for your use at the outset. Though they share the same overall behaviour, their animations differ and their ability sets are customisable. Available Characters include: The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster and The Champion.
MAPS
Three maps are available in the BETA and are all unlocked from the outset. Be sure to pay attention to their lay-outs in-game as these maps have been tuned to allow for more varied strategy than those in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood (it’s easier to break line-of-sight, for example).
- Knight’s Hospital
- Antioch
- Constantinople
MODES
Four modes are available in the BETA and they are all unlocked from the outset. Two of these modes are returning favourites from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, while the other two are brand new modes designed in response to player feedback. Available Modes include: Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch (NEW), and Artifact Assault (NEW).
ABILITIES
Eight Abilities are available in the BETA, but only some are available initially while others must be unlocked by increasing your rank. Although some Abilities return from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, you may notice some slight tweaks resulting from player feedback. Available Abilities include: Tripwire Bomb (NEW), Closure (NEW), Disguise, Fire Crackers, Throwing Knives, Smoke Bomb, Poison and Morph.
Prepare yourselves Assassins… to go undercover into the very heart of Abstergo’s training grounds!

Ive been a plus member ever since its been released and its well worth the money, seriously. To those that moan because they aint able access to these kinds of betas either should moan some more or stop being so tight.
lol
Anyway though, can not wait for this, never thought i’d say it but bloody hell, i feel spoilt being a plus member.

I think its stupid that Betas are open to PS+ members. I’ve been a part of every single beta on the PS3 before this happened. What happened to the loyal Playstation customers that were chosen to partake in said betas? They get treated as if they’re just early access demos instead of sources of technical feedback.

Who is to say that existing PS+ members don’t give money to Sony and provide feedback? Even if some don’t bother giving feedback – they give other useful insight such as server loads.

Cool Uplay peeps get it aswell not bad Ubisoft. Loving the new AC trailer showing all the content you’ve made. AC is probably my favorite franchise to come from this current gen of consoles. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to the Revelations.

paying for betas and demos don’t seem great to me These company’s have nothing to gain by excluding non plus members I can understand Sony exclusives then yeah fair enough but this is not a sony game .. they can shove it too many good games coming out i’ll show my loyalty to company’s that show loyalty to me.

So as i signed up for uplay on the previous Creed, that means i’m allowed to get the beta?! Any ideas how we will recieve the code to unlock the game? Excited already!:) thanks Gabe, Playstation and all the lot at Ubisoft:)

Doesn’t everyone have Uplay? I mean, almost every ubisoft game uses it (even a Facebook game) so this beta is basically open to everyone. No added benefit to Plus members here, so stop the whining.

As far as I’m aware, if you don’t have Plus and somehow aren’t a member of UPlay by now, the beta will be released the week later on the 10th September.

ATTENTION!
I read it on Ubisoft.com This post made my day and Ubisoft.com ruined my day.
If you think your getting in the beta if you register for UPLAY, think again. I had a UPLAY account for about 3 months and I doubt Im getting in the beta as I just read that only “Selected” UPLAY users will get invited

Hopefully it won’t suffer from the awful loading time and connection problems of Brotherhood, and will actually work. Even when it did work it was awful. Will give it a go though, hoping the full game will stick to single player trophies this time as well.

Finally I download all 3 beta but I keep getting the same error trying to connect to the server saying “error initialising session manager” for uncharted, SOCOM is under maintenance. on resistance i get this error (20000013)

In all seriousness I still need to play Brotherhood before jumping into Revealtions… my sealed copy is waiting for me to complete a ton of older games on my back log…

I know that they are betas and are unfinished, unstable or unplayable but in my experience the history of betas on the PS3 has been pretty bad. I find it hard to get excited about betas and find it silly getting betas is considered a reward for purchasing a PS+ subscription.

Uncharted & SOCOM BETAs have ended, hence the errors!
Resistance 3 BETA has Matchmaking problems & is explained within the notes that display when you sign in.

You don’t pay for BETAs they are a bonus for loyal PLUS members!
You pay for PLUS so you receive free content & Discounts. Early access to BETAs are just a bonus!
