Bonus Content And Trophy List For The ICO And Shadow Of The Colossus Collection

ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection is coming this September 28th and I wanted to take this opportunity to give you a little more detail on the bonus content we announced last month, as well as giving fanc a sneak peak at the trophies for both ICO & Shadow of the Colossus.

We will be including two dynamic themes for your PS3, designed by the team (one designed around ICO and Yorda and one designed around Shadow of the Colossus).

We are also including some exclusive video content featuring gaming visionary Fumito Ueda. All items will be available via an in-pack voucher enabling you to download the content from the PlayStation Store.

The videos that we are including will be:

Initial concept video for NICO, a game that was never made but turned into Shadow of the Colossus, including an on-camera introduction from creator and Fumito Ueda.

A behind-the-scenes video filmed on location by our US colleagues at the SCEI offices in Japan. This video features interviews with key production staff members about the making of ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, as well as concept art and prototype footage of all the games, and exclusive never-before-seen footage of The Last Guardian

In addition to full 1080p HD and stereoscopic 3D support, and 7.1 surround sound, this re-release also supports a full set of trophies for each game. Here is the full trophy list for both games to give you a taste of the challenges that await you when you set out on your adventure with ICO & Yorda, and Wander & Agro this September 28th.

@5 I spotted that as well; makes me so happy. I guess we’ll also get the translated subtitles for Yorda’s dialogue on the second playthrough.

@6 The Euro version of ICO had a secret weapon and ending that other versions didn’t. The trophy names are references to these.

@6: The North American version was cut in order to meet an early shipping deadline. There are some missing extras that can be unlocked in the other two versions by beating the game, namely a two-player mode, an alternate weapon, translations of Yorda’s dialogue, film-grain effects and an extra ending. The Japanese and the PAL versions also had tweaked puzzles and general improvements like better textures, lighting and more detailed models.

I can’t wait for this to be released. I hope this time these games get more recognition compared to when they were first released on the PS2. These 2 games are absolutely brilliant and I enjoyed every bit playing them.

I hate to say it but out off all the games out this year from Revelations to Batman, Skyrim through to Saints Row the third, I’m most excited for this title among another.

I’ve played these to death back in 05/06 clocking completion of SOTC 10+ times. These are titles that defined the way I saw games.
Anyone who didnt play these games before are in for a MASSIVE TREAT. You wait and see.

@Catkiller1: I’ve used them on and off for many years; well before the likes of TheHut or Zavvi and when CD-WoW was prominent. They are reliable from my experience.

So Phil there isn’t going to be a Collectors Edition like the one in Japan? I was really hoping for one, I’d saved up £100 for it as I adore these games and I thought it would be worth it.
