I looked on the UK ‘Argos’ site today & the PS3 is still £249? ? ? What a f-in joke UK shops are :-/

@matthewkh what are you on about? I use the Eye for webcam chat all the time on PS3 and it’s more than high enough quality. Far, far better than the one built in my laptop too. I no longer even use stuff like MSN and Skype for online chatting as the PS3 is far easier to use (and luckily most of my friends and relatives have one)

I still hope cross game chat never happens. I hate that stuff and I wish I could mute all chat as default in games. Sick to death of the games that don’t have mute as default to begin with and there’s me having to mute every player individually cos the programmers failed to realise not everyone likes hearing the braindead voices spewing abuse and playing tasteless music in the background making it hard for me to hear my own game.

Well. The sales tax varies in Europe too. Like, it’s 8% in Switzerland and 26% in Belgium.

Since Sony never released an official amount in pounds at the conference retailers are taking there time to reduce consoles obviously to maximize profit. Very under handed by them really. Amazon though are selling the console for 192 pounds

DO you know if there will be a price cut in Sweden and the rest of the Nordic countries as well and what the new RRP is?

Or will Nordisk Film refuse yet again to lower the price, as they did in 2009?

I had to use Adblock to neutralise the Video feed, since it was playing hell with my browser(s). Would a play/pause button have been too much to ask?

@53 I swear Sony games often ‘forget’ to have a chat mute feature, forcing you to buy a headset to filter out the noise of screaming children and abusive pre-pubescants.

I laughed and facepalmed at the same time when that new price got announced. 249? Buh.. But the PS3 has been sold for 2500 SEK in Sweden for months. Hopefully this will make Swedish retailers lower the price to 1999 SEK. Oh snap Sony.

on amazon the 160gb is 205.99, £192 cut down, £249 for the 320gb with a game, £215 cut down, 215 for a ps3 is quite a bargain with what you get for your money i’d say.

So Sony are saying (here on the blog) that they think (?!) the UK price is now £199, but Amazon and others are saying that it’s £249.99?
Forget it then. I was going to buy one for sure when I heard about the price cut, but if Sony themselves don’t even know how much it is and Amazon and others can just make up prices, I’m not buying.

Its the 18th when the price cuts officially.

When will I be able to listen to my mp3´s when I brows the store?
When will I be able to use the internet browser on the PS3, I can´t even watch vids on this blog?

And the list goes on an on. Telling us the Playstation does everything but only in US and UK is the mayor failure.
Playstation is not as relevant when it started because it didn´t delivered half of the prommisses they made to me when I slaped down 600 euro´s to buy it day one.

Whenever there comes a PS4 I´ll wait at least 2 years to deside what system I´m going to buy, Xbox od PS3 or maybe something else.

long long time ago i hear about a game called sorchery for ps move guess what i bought ps move but the game you never see anywhere.

game cancelled? our was it just a strategy to sell more psmove boxes

used ps move 3 times and now its laying far away because no fun games out for it.

digital downloads must be cheaper dont tell me game makers make the prize you also benifit from those prizes so dont add them our make decent prizes.

@Killzonexx Many stores within the netherlands don’t sell many ps2 games anymore. When that happened i figured out i should upgrade to the ps3 and im happy i did.

you really have hit the nail on the head! a large majority of sony customers are being let down and are fed up of these constant errors along with rip off prices.

iv been a gamer for 20 years, ps1 got me hooked and loved ps2. was really hyped for ps3 and im still running the original 60gb fat but its just failed to live up to its full potential.
it really has done the opposite of being fun and exciting, i for one will not be buying the ps4 and im pretty gutted but i have lost my trust in sony and dont see the point in spending hard earned cash on something that cant/wont listen to customers nor provide a fully workable service to keep up-to-date with today’s tech.

I want Id software RAGE! peace.

And also, a huge problem that Sony has since forever is selling consoles to countries that they dont offer support. This just makes me mad angry! for example Cyprus?? its an EU country. But no support is offered. Not even the PS store is available. I tried it both on PS3 and PSP. Come on Sony! put Cyprus on the list!

Recently my old ps3 got the YLOD,& im thinking about geting the slim 120gb,But there are all sold out .I dont understand why sony dosn’t produce more of these 120gb.They are the cheepist,so there for it is more adorable for people students like me.
& for geting a new PS3.
Why should i,SONY hasn’t giving me reason to invest into a new console.Prices on the Store-SUCK,Console prices Suck.
