The Weekend Debate: The Intercontinental Champion Is?

I’m afraid this week’s debate is another friendly as I will be on holiday next week. In fact, I’m on holiday as you read this. There are no voucher codes on offer but, for those of you that haven’t closed the tab already, I do have a good discussion topic to wrap your fingers around.

Which continent has the greatest game development heritage?

Is it Asia, which of course brought us our own PlayStation and countless classic titles; Europe, a varied landscape with a rich history dating right back to the invention of the medium; or America, which brings us a new version of Madden every year (only joking, Jeff)? And don’t forget Australasia — without our antipodean friends we wouldn’t have BioShock, Puzzle Quest, De Blob, L.A. Noire or Beavis and Butthead on the Mega Drive (don’t knock it until you’ve completed it, like I have.)
