Just a reminder that God of War Collection Volume II will be available this week from Wednesday 14th September onwards! (Retail and PSN)
For those that missed the previous posts, you get to experience two legendary PSP titles; Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta totally revamped for the PS3.
I hope you will agree the guys at Ready At Dawn have done an amazing job revamping these titles and the following clip really does show the effort and time in making sure the PS3 version benefits from 1080p visuals running at a rock solid 60fps.
In addition to trophy support the game is also playable in full 3D which really does look great if you are lucky enough to own a 3D TV. If you haven’t yet experienced the chaos of Kratos make sure you download the demo from PSN store.
That’s all from me and hope you enjoy playing the game!

Loving the HD collections at the moment & this one is great, as I haven’t had the chance to play these great titles!
Come on SONY & speak with other developers & release Jak & Daxter collection (Although it was confirmed this won’t happen
)
, Ratchet, Burnout to name a few!

It will? EB had this down as the 15th but today moved it back to the 29th what happened? Hope it was a mistake I really wanted to get this, and I’m now done with R3 so I’m waiting for something new to play. EB got it listed as the 29th now same day as ICO and SOC. Hope that’s not right otherwise I’m going to have to give it a miss, no way I can finish ICO, SOC, and both GOW games within 7 days because I need to be done once RAGE hits on the 6th. Disappointed, i was really looking forward to playing it!

had my doubts about the PSP-to-PS3 conversion-o-rama, but after trying the demo from the Store last week, it really got my interested. they look very fine and dandy and great fun aswell, so will hopefully be giving them a try.
i never played them on PSP either, so thats a bonus too, theyre like all new GoW games to some of us
Posted on 13 September, 2011 at 7:09 pm by Richard Yap
Good to hear that you enjoyed the demo and agree that those that haven’t played the PSP versions – a great way to experience these classic titles

“The God of War – Game Directors Live documentary, Kratos Legionnaire bonus skin, and Forest of the Forgotten combat arena (previously included with the Ghost of Sparta preorder package) will also be included with the God of War: Origins Collection.” – SCEA

Any god of war avatars to come out with this make it happen!what aout price think psn users should get a exclusive early access to games.not having to wait for retail
16

US price is $39.99 so I’m expecting this to be around £40 seeing as Digital downloads and European price are always higher.

Played these on PSP, but I’ll be picking this up on Friday as well now that I’m slowly getting rid of all my PSP stuff in anticipation of Vita. Really great games though, and it’s a shame that so many GOW fans won’t have played them if they didn’t have access to a PSP. At least they won’t have an excuse now!

Looking great.
Let’s get a Jak, Ratchet and Timesplitters Collection now.
Btw, the PSN version better be cheaper than retail or I’ll go into an all caps RAGE.
Great game, btw << xD

To be honest, I played COO on the PSP but never got round to GOS. I played the demo last week and thought it was really good. If they gave it a decent digital price and released the game separately i am in. Will this be released separately?
Posted on 13 September, 2011 at 5:23 pm by Richard Yap
Glad you enjoyed the demo, the games will be available as a bundle on PSN (RRP €29.99) or individually (RRP €17.99)

Great that non-PSP PS3 owners will get to experience these games. They were a couple of the highlights of the handheld.
Personally, I’m not going to be picking these up again though.

What will be the default retail price of the Collection? I see the PSN version is priced at €29,99. Does the same apply for the physical version? Or does that go for €39,99?

Ya the Disc version will be €39,99 or at least that’s the price I saw on some stores today…
I’m getting the digital version, just need to know the price of M&M DLC to setup my PSN purchase schedule… Fallout NV DLC, M&M DLC, Magic DLC and now GoW… will be an expensive month…
Posted on 13 September, 2011 at 7:35 pm by Richard Yap
Sounds like a fun month playing all those games though.

why is it listed as the 29th for NZ release? Your enigmatic see Q & A to 20, whatever does that mean, if you are replying to muzzah’s comment no.5. What Q&A? I cant see any Q & A in this blog post, and comment no 20 doesn’t say anything about the huge two week gap between UK and Occidental release dates.
Frankly it would have been perfect to get the game tomorrow as ico will be out the same week for us now(*sniff*no deluxe collectors 2 disc pack like jp have for Ico/Shadow releases).
Btw my 19″ high hand painted polystone sideshow collectables maquette is glowering from the dresser top across the roomas i write this. eat your hearts out Kratos fans(i have a NECA fig. of Kratey and series one of the DC Unlimited GoW figs as well(Zeus, Herakles, Kratos & Hades. Hmmm I wonder what the Jesus nemesis figurine will look like for the GoW4 action fig. line(I’m kidding))). If you dont have glossy coffee table book The Art of God Of War 3 Daniel Wade, then order it from thebookdepository.com. they do FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING and being based in Channel Islands you get tax free as well.
