Resident Evil 4 Is Coming To PSN; Plus Subscribers Get 50% Off

If this isn’t released on blu-ray together with Code Veronica X HD, I’m not going to bother getting it.

There’s only so much space on my HDD and if I’m going to pay a stupid price, I want a physical product.

Any company that cared about their customers would include Move support and put the PS versions of RE 1-3 on the blu as well, for that matter, but its obvious the thing is finished and there’s no hope of Move support.

the trophies list for both resi remakes is a joke xbox gets the full 1000points we get 12 standard no platinum joke.

Trophy list, no anti aliasing and a pretty good chance of your horrible DRM = Port fail. You’ve just saved me money Capcom, thanks for that. These will be the first HD re-releases I haven’t bothered buying and maybe even the only ones, since I’ve bought all the previous ones and plan on buying all the other announced ones.

So nice work Capcom, what little extra effort you could spent putting in two simple features and not including something that screws over your customers would’ve earned you my money and I’m sure a number of others as well.

If we can’t have move support because of xbox, why can’t we have a platinum. If xbox are taking control of what happens its pathetic they shouldn’t even have games like resi as they are exclusive to Playstation and Nintendo.

Are these games getting a Blu-ray release or not?
If Code Veronica X is priced similarly, £32 for both games (without PS+) seems excessive, especially without any physical media.

Should I still buy RE4HD even if I already have the Wii and PS2 versions?

US store gets Resident Evil 1,2 & 3 for FREE on PS+ and Europe only gets 1 !!!
I bought all three a while ago, but still not fair !
I also would prefer to see those on a bluray disk. We have a limited space on our PS3 :/

im a plus owner but i hate downloaded games i dnt about price i just want it so does any1 know if there is a confirmed retail version and also when is resident evil 2&3 coming out i have been waiting for years this anniversary is the perfect time to release them both. stop giving us ps1 classics we dnt want and give us the ones we do want e.g^

if it doesn’t have move support I’m not sure I want it I have the GC, PS2 and Wii Versions using a normal controller again just seems wrong somehow, I even bought RE5 gold(preowned 9.99) because of how awesome RE4 on Wii was(RE2 is still the best though) and Capcom didn’t want to patch the original.

Sounds good but don’t like the idea of the xbox version getting more achievements and no plat for us? Also surely there should be move support in there??? This game is ide for it?? Is that just Microsoft ruling the roost again??
I do like the plus price but would rather a blu ray with a few more titles on a la GOWand POP and SLY etc

Argh. That’s rather expensive for a game that’s been out for ages… I suppose it’s nice that Plus users are getting something decent for a change… but more and more it’s feeling like the rest of us are getting cheated a bit. I mean, we can’t even BUY Resi 1?

How about releasing the PSONE classic Resident Evil here in New Zealand. Or maybe bundle it with Four so you can get past that issue. I don’t think that would work, but try being inventive.

Why is every other HD Version of PS2 games being released on disc as well but this isn’t!? Release it on blu-ray or interested. Not everyone wants to download games

I might sound a bit daft but i only visited resi series on the wii with 4 wii addition is this the same game?
If it is i really didn’t mind the set paths as this is was a decent point and click shooter on the so called controller of the future. The move was late to the table in that sense but if it is the same version then 8 quid 4 + users is an absolute bargain if u can get strangers wrath 4 the same price when it’s realest then + users should b very happy.But hey from what i can tell u guys and girls should have been getting this sought of quality game from the off i’m(thats why xbox charge good service) not a + member as u can tell so please sony dont punish all non paying members as this is why most of us chose u in the first place.

@aphansh,post 12, you woulf be better off if you bought a three month sub for plus, as it is about £13, so £8 discount for RE4, plus res1for 3months and any other offers you may get in the 3 months,.. theres really no other sensible alternatie imo, but obviously thats your decision.

Why would you release every other HD title on disc but not this!? Only interested if a disc version is released

can’t say move support is a issue for me,though for those who played it on the wii i see why they’d want it, have to laugh though as same people are asking for re,2and3, which if are same as re1 then won’t even be able to use sticks on duelpad, gutted me that as i cannot play any game using directional buttons to move, it has the choice to switch to analogue in xmb menu, but it won’t work….Is it just mine, or is it like that?

One problem with Resident Evil 4 HD playstation store will take up 20 GB on your playstation 3 for installing Resident Evil 4 HD rather buy it on playstation 3 disc plus you didn’t mention Resident Evil Code Veronica X HD on playstation store but il rather get both on playstation 3 disc as both are 20 GB instalation.

yet i don’t understand why Resident Evil isn’t Sticking with original story of mixed RE 2 RE ORC i don’t know? plus can you put Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil, from game cube games onto HD playstation 3 disc as many people would buy that for sure so please can you do that maybe put Resident Evil Zero into online co op mode on playstation 3 HD plus future Resident Evil bring back leon, chris, claire, and jill, all in one epic story taking down umbrella and resurrect albert wesker with steve burnside as his slave monster plus ada wong working by albert wesker once again but special quests rebecca and billy traped by umbrella all 4 leon chris claire and jill must rescue them from albert wesker evil deeds.

No I’m not at all Trophy obsessed but if you compare this release to every other PS2 HD Classic title then it is missing a blu ray, platinum trophy reward and more recently move support or even 3D1?
However it is half the price to plus users, i just think its a shame the RE series hasn’t had the love it deserves and considering the amount or remixes and turbo editions Capcom kick out its disappointing, after all they even added move support to RE5.

Probably pass. Never did enjoy this one much. The controls were at least a bit better than previous games but the story was boring.

Why are you guys celebrating? The us people gets RE2 & RE3 besides RE1 at no costs if your a PS+ guy. Here in europe you only get RE1.

Everytime I buy something from the EU store I feel like I am being ripped off. It is SICK to calculate 1 USD for 1 EUR. What the heck?. Sales of SONY’s consoles are always higher in Europe than in the US but we always get worse deal, be it hardware price, PS Store, PS+, etc. When will this attitude towards European consumers change?

I was hoping for Move support. It’s a shame…having already played it on ps2 the extra control choice would have been nice…given me a reason to buy the game….AGAIN.
