Tokyo Game Show took place last week and, while I didn’t manage to get out there this year, I followed the news online and was excited to hear that my second favourite series, MGS, is coming to PlayStation Vita in the form of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. I also spotted that a Zone of the Enders HD Collection is coming to the handheld but I never caught those games first time around. What are they all about?
What do you think about the Final Fantasy X HD remake coming to PS3 and PS Vita? I know that game tends to divide FF fans but I personally enjoyed it and it’s the only one in the series I have completed. My pick for ‘one to watch that you might not be watching yet’ is Rayman Origins, coming to PS3 and PS Vita. I checked it out at E3 and it’s a great combo of stylish graphics and cute co-op mechanics.
Finally, it’s the Eurogamer Expo next week and I’m thinking of popping along on either the Thursday or the Friday. MusterBuster has asked me to let you know that, if you’re attending too, you can register for a Fast Track ticket over on the PlayStation Access Facebook page. Basically, it means you’ll be able to jump the queue and get your hands on PlayStation Vita, and if gamescom is anything to go by, it’s going to be a long queue…

Final Fantasy X is a terrible choice for getting revamped, the game itself was too linear, the characters were annoying and when you made them run they looked like they had haemorrhoids!! We have been begging Square Enix to remake FFVII for years now, they could even complete the missing parts of the story (Aeris coming back to life on the bed of flowers in the Midgar church etc.) but instead we get the game that signalled the downward spiral of the franchise to the mediocre shadow of its former self. and don’t even get me started on the subject of ‘Blitzball’!!!

Oh god I can already here Tidus laughing at me. Are you sure it wasn’t a spelling mistake and it was meant to be FF7 remake? But hey Square must really hate making money because if they didn’t they would release HDFF7. I’m just wondering how long we have to wait for them to quit messing around and do the right thing and remake either 6,7,9.

Final Fantasy X HD is a must buy for me! It was my 2nd game I got on PS2 even though I never completed it (all the more reason to get it again) 1st being Dark Cloud, another great game.
Anyone remember that game? I hope it gets made into a HD game too.

Apart from the HD PS3 games the Tokyo Game Show was disappointing for any ‘NEW’ PS3 games News :-/
It was all PSVita really(it does look good tho PSVita)
+ I didn’t want to say this again
but i want a ‘TimeSplitters HD’ collection! ! ! on PS3 
(or PS2 playback back on a PS3, i will NEVER give up asking) LoL;)
Oh + a ‘Taito Legends 3′ would be cool to(it could have all the games off Taito Legends 1 + 2 + a few more in HD)

TGS often tends to be quite light on news – it’s more of a consumer show than a trade event. It’s interesting how so many of the ‘new’ games people request are remakes – they really are so popular right now. I’d rather take new IPs.

Could it be a bug in your browser? I haven’t been able to replicate the issue. I’m looking at the rating system at the moment and thinking about how it could be improved, as the averages are all over the place. It’s arbitrary at present.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner is one of my favourite games of all time, can’t wait to replay it on PS3 and PSV!
TGS has been pretty disappointing overall this year though imo, nothing really stood out for me. Cool that FFX is getting an enhanced port but no FFVsXIII at TGS this year sucked, it’s been like 5 years since it was announced, lol.

Overlook the graphics as they have aged alot, but the gameplay & story are superb & will keep you engrossed for hours!

WHAT?!!! The blog manager for SCEE has never played FFVII!! James I am genuinely shocked, it’s like finding out the CEO of McDonalds is vegetarian! erm, actually after eating at McDonalds that wouldn’t surprise me, but regardless you MUST play FFVII at least once before you die, everyone should. It really is that good and it is the game that revolutionised a genre, it didn’t just raise the bar, it put the bar into orbit!!!

It just kind of passed me by. I was only 12 when it came out and it just so happened that none of my friends were playing it, and that was the only way I found out about new games in those days. I guess I’ll just wait for that remake, if it ever happens.

Hi James, I have just visited the Kasabian space in Home and there is no sound, and the video itself is very jumpy, it pauses every other second or so and is completely unwatchable. Will these glitches be fixed before 6pm as I was really looking forward to this event. P.s Yes my internet connection is fine and I have no problems streaming i-player, Home Theatre etc.

Dear Playstation,
I was searching around the UAE PS store and noticed that the Fallout New Vegas are seriously lagging. There is only one listed DLC and that is the Dead Money DLC.
I looked around the Playstation store blog updates and noticed that all Fallout New Vegas DLC were released on time in all locales (including the UAE).
Could somebody please look into the issue? I can recall the same thing happening with the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 DLC which took so much time to be resolved.

here me thinking it is SCEE who breaks promises & bare face LIES.
the 1st few pages what a delight loads of happy smile faces they eyes light up with glee.
only to be smashed by promises of 2 great Ps1 classics then they do a SCEE and pulled them both off so no CT or FF6 for stateside.
