The SingStore Update (21 September) And ‘Back To The 80s’ Full Tracklist!

Useless update ; never heard of one these tunes, except for Train + useless playlist for the disc, except for Kim Carnes. One question remains : why releasing a song on a disc that is already on the store Bros’s When will I be famous ?)

What happened to the Dance/Guitar add-ons?

The only Dance add-ons for the last month or so have all come off the SingStar Dance disc.

What was the point of the update for simultaneous dance/guitar play if there aren’t going to be any more add-ons released?

And, why are some of the tracks on the Back To The 80′s disc already available? Shouldn’t you have released a brand new disc with 30 brand new songs?

How about some new trophies to go along with that?
And i’m not just talking about tacking on a few like you did with Dance/Guitar. Trophies extend the gameplay by giving players goals to achieve.

sorry nina for butt in but this got me intrigue as i was still on the fence about this DCUO if true i seriously think of joining try for FREE then option to upgrade.

Nice update Nina, I’m getting Kylie Minogue – Loco-motion, are we getting more recent songs from Kylie in the future? From one of her last 5 albums?

Nina, what I’d really want, is the sound on the points counter to have a lot lower volume! It’s really annoying when playing with high volume, when the counter sound is so freakin’ loud… Thanks in advance!

I’m forever having to turn the volume down after completing a song, and then having turn it back up for the next song. They did fix it in an earlier patch (where the SingStar/Tone Deaf, etc sound effects were lowered), but then they went and un-fixed it in a subsequent update.

Another feature I would love to see is the ability to create a “playlist”, so we can queue up 5 or 10 songs at once and play them back to back without having to go back to the carousel.

While we’re on the topic of volume…why do my mics sound SO loud when I have the mic volume turned completely down? According to the mic volume they should actually not make ANY sound but they’re still so loud. All I hear is my own voice coming back at me out of the speakers and it overpowers the song itself and I have to turn the main volume down and then you can barely hear the song. Is this a problem that’s being looked at?

Also I haven’t updated to the latest update because of all the problems…is there a timeline for the fix?

Nice of you to give us more Toto But I was hoping that the Back To The 80′s would have a few more songs which I’d recognize, I’m not going to buy it just because of one song. But The Power Of Love by Jennifer Rush is absolutely one of my top5 favourite songs ever and I would be EXTREMELY happy if you could get it to Singstore after the disk has been released, please

In the last update you told me to write here the feedback about the songlist of the new Finnish Singstar, so if you could just send them the message that what we (or at least I) want is more of those old classics (we haven’t yet have a single song from eg. Juice Leskinen or Pave Maijanen) instead of those crappy new rap songs. I’m trying to make this as clear as possible: I absolutely disgust rap and as far as I’m aware, the name of the brand is SINGstar instead of Rapstar.

Hope you don’t mind Nina but I have a few questions for you.

Have the SingStar team considered what will happen when the Singstar franchise continues on future Playstation consoles? Might we have to re-purchase existing tracks or would it just be a matter of ringing Sony to transfer the licenses from our PS3s as the tracks were released on the Playstation Network rather than an actual platform?

Is there a possibility of a SingStore sale similiar to the sales on the normal store in the future?

can’t wait for the new back to the 80′s disc. but would it be possible to release online as a song pack at the same price of the disc? this way we wouldn’t have to keep using the disc swap facility.

What are the chances of any of the Dancestar Party songs coming to Singstar?

Sweet! 80′s music (My favourite decade) and on the day of my birthday too.

Well, the update was back to being dreadful again (zip from this list as Oz didn’t get Kylie again), but the 80s tracklist is a consolation, and I am sold simply on Glenn Medeiros & Toto.

I only complain that this can’t be downloaded rather than wasting money, time, & plastic on buying discs (ever hear of the term “carbon footprint” ?).

I already have access to the Singstore through my ABBA disc, so why can’t it be a dual update/disc release for those of us that already have disc to access the store ?

The only one good is 3 Doors Down’s… Come on, more popular songs…

I also want to comment that the points screen is TOO LOUD. Everyone we have over complains about it.

No Kylie again for Aus/NZ. How about some newer Kelly Clarkson numbers or Christina Aguilera – these are both Sony artists. Show us the love Sony!!!

There are a lot of things happening with Singstar and we get regular updates as well. Remember what Singstar was like, when it launched. It was a different product.

And sure there aren’t just the songs you like in this update. But I’m really glad, that there aren’t more. I got something like 650 Songs downloaded so far. This week maybe just two. But that’s enough for me as long as they keep going and deliver the good quality. I don’t wanna miss music videos for example. That’s the thing I like about Singstar. =)

There is an interview on the german website Gamereactor. Dave Ranyard, Game Director for Singstar said: “We working on Singstar and we have some really interesting things happening, but I can’t talk about that now”

And: “So, I’m really excited about Singstar and in fact, when I get back from this and my following holiday I’ve got a lot of Singstar work to do and a lot of things happening which I think are very exciting for Singstar on Playstation 3.”

And the most important question: People don’t have to be afraid, that there are less updates for Singstar Dance when Dancestar Party is launching?
“No, we still supporting Singstar Dance, absolutely. And as I already said, there are interesting things for Singstar coming up.”
