Any update on the GT5 DLC refunds? I paid £9.49 only to find I could av had it for £7.19 the next day! I thought us PLUS subscribers where getting the difference refunded to our PSN wallets?? im still waiting, dont know about anybody else

Oooh James that’s a cracking idea for a weekend debate (games based on novels) – wasted here I think.

…But I fear that if Blindness is reduced to a zombie game, some subtlety might be lost… Thinking also of blindness, Day of the Triffids could make for an interesting game, I think. Actually, the most likely games are those novels that have already had the movie treatment. We need to think up some novels that haven’t made films… yet… Something by Neil Gaiman perhaps.

I await ‘Lego Swann’s Way’ with some interest. :p

Definitely go with 1Q84. It’s a shame that novels and videogames and as tied together as games and other media, maybe because many see gamers as not having the attention span to read? lol. I guess the last game I can think of to be based on a novel (and not based on a film based on a novel) is probably Enslaved’s loose reimagining of Journey to the West. I’ve been thinking of ordering Miyuki Miyabe’s novelisation of ICO (based on her interpretation of the story) if I can find the time to read it over the next few months with so many good games coming out.

That Blindness novel has an interesting concept, I like to think that literally any good book regardless of what it’s really about would make a great game if zombies were thrown in though!

If your gonna play DC Universe you should pay the subs fee, because all you get for free is $2000 limit, 2 character spaces, no trading, no trophies:D , can’t create a league, can’t get or use trinkets, only have a weekly vault ticket and can’t have dlc. So if you want to enjoy DC properly pay for the subs.

I must admit I‘m looking forward to DCUO I‘m on the fence when it comes to MMO i installed free relms i haven’t actually play it to the fullest yet.

but i will & this DCUO i think it right of SOE to do free to play limted to not have full features so if you want features fork out the money.

i will try it free for a hour or so then bam i sub it.

Terry Pratchett’s DiscWorld novels have been made into games, as have Alice in Wonderland, LOTR, Dune and dozens of comic-book franchises. Not many books could be adapted successfully into games, David Zindell’s ‘Requiem for Homo-Sapiens’ trilogy couldn’t, and would you even want to contemplate a Barbara Cartland novel inspired game?!!

I hope you are ‘strongly’ emphasising how much damage they are doing to the opinions that their european customers have of them with their complete lack of care when it comes to informing us european PAYING customers about things .

Im VERY angry about the way we have been treated regarding ‘PayDay The Heist’ ,
we haven’t been told ANYTHING since pre-ordering it.
We even had to search all over the net just to find out its delayed due to finishing the foreign languages off for europe,
something that could of EASILY been explained MUCH MUCH earlier so we wouldn’t of been sat expecting it on the 18th .
This is a pathetic reason for a delayed world release though considering over half the people still waiting speak english,
why couldn’t the release world wide & add this in bold text ..

I have been enjoying ‘Speedball 2′ off PSN this week
I only ‘wish’ it wasn’t a minis game because i would of loved it with Trophies
They should make all those ‘Bitmap Brothers’ old games for PSN in 1080p + with Trophies (i would buy ALL of them)

+ Good PS3 week again tho;) Soooooooooooooooooooooo much to play & buy. The PlayStation brand is the best. SONY have done it again this gen;)

i like the idea of share packages in COD-MW3 so does it mean we get to share each killstreaks and i hear a package doesn’t reset you killstreak to 0.

Has anyone ever played Battlefield 1&2 not very good at all online lacks alot, but the people from mw2 are in charge of the online I think and if it is then it will be awesome.

MAybe someone can help me. Why is it that Payday is available on Steam with multi languages, but they are still require time to do this for the PS3 version? Would they not just use the same files converted for PS3 use? Maybe i am just ignorant in game development.

And James can you please get someone to do a post regarding the dismal offerings put forth through PS+. Currently there is no full PSN game offered as well as no PSOne game. Currently only a few 20% discounts and some minis. Why is it that no one is able to answer the community? With so few offerings one can only suggest that they have plenty of time to do this.

also to whoever asked about making a US account from UK is illegal .. well it is possible and easy to do, but according to the toc’s it isn’t allowed, Unless you are a US citizen or have a Real US address , ie maybe have family there, (not 100%) , i know plenty of EU people create false US accounts, mostly to just have a nose at their offerings or to get a demo that our store aint got, and there is a lot who even top up their US wallets to buy stuff… i wouldn’t be surprised though if a future firmware update takes this ability away from us, if it does and you have money or even plus in a false account then you’d probably lose it outright.. but if you’ve used a real address/details, most probably get refunded or even allowed to keep, or choose which region your ps3 would be ‘tied’ to, as i said thats just how i can see it happening, but i hope i am wrong… and i also Haven’t just given them the idea..lol.

that new strike system looks very interesting, allthough i’d hate to be playing in a game where someone had (specialist,?) every perk active at same time, i’m probably more of the support strike, but it’s good to know how you get extra rewarded for playing team based, capture flag/objective etc.. even just for getting assists.. “Anyway like i said last week, i wouldn’t really be surprised if psn isn’t holding back on putting the cod info up, as with activision having that crappy deal with m$ etc… but to be fair i was on x-box this morning (well yesterday now) and i didn’t see nothing about it on the dashboard… though i don’t visit there blogs/forums (much) so maybe they had something about it there,?…. after watching some of the multi previews i can see why your so hyped up over the game… i can picture you marking or scratching a x in the wall counting down to the release date…. lol.

For your information there never was a Battlefield 1! There was a Battlefield Bad company 1 & 2. battlefield 3 has nothing to do with the Bad Company titles & it’s a direct sequel to Battlefield 2 which was an online only shooter on the PC, with Battlefield 1942 being the first.

Sony won’t advertise COD in the way that you would like, as Microsoft have exclusive rights to DLC etc before SONY so why would they??

Stop with the pathetic childish fanboyism. COD & BF3 are both great, but I want a proper war (Battlefield) game that’s more realistic with vehicles etc.

This really isn’t good enough, about Payday. The Euro store, and Playstation Plus is a joke half of the time compared to the US verson. They’ve had Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 for free, whilst we only got the first. Amoung other better offers and deals, that I just can’t be bothered winding my self up about in getting in to. Then, on a pre-order / special order from the deal game, we don’t even know when we’re getting it. As they’re happily playing. I think I’m going to just not bother with the Euro store in future, and get everything on the American store. It’s usually cheaper too, I don’t know how the conversion rates ‘work’. >_> It seems like so much effort goes in to the American side, to try and win the console war over there. And I’m not saying there isn’t just as much effort from you guys, here. But the higher ups need to sort it out, and start giving to their loyal fanbase in Europe, as we need focus as well.

James Gallagher have you played the Fallout new vegas add-on Lonesome Road because I just started it and got out of the bunker bit and talk to ED-E went into the first camp and it start juddering/running really slow then have to restart to make it run normal again but it like 30 mins into the game it start doing it again.

Fallout: New Vegas Runs like a snail and judders and then the add-ons virtually stop to the point where its unplayable and I don`t think they will ever fix it thats why Im not getting Skyrim.

PS3 is Rebuilding database what is it, dose anyone know?
well what ever it dose im doing it now and its taking forever its on 25% and my PS3 HDD is a 1TB this could make bob run smooth on fallout new vegas or not lol (had the HDD about 4 years)Maybe it defrag it but really don`t know.

Woooooo Fallout: New Vegas now run very smooth and load faster, even when running into heavy gun fights its smooth.

@James hey there fella, im not sure where to put this so ill just post here! people are using site (githey.notlong.com) for new hacks, this is very annoying and sony are clearly losing the battle against cheating scum. some games are unplayable at times due to stupid cheats, not only is it against the license agreement with sony but its also steeling from us real gamers as i pay big bucks for a game just to find its been ruined. why on earth have sony not yet provided a security software to download that would render the whole console useless if it picked up on any foreign interference? i dont understand its not exactly rocket science!
