This week sees the launch of TEKKEN Hybrid, exclusively on PlayStation 3.
Created by NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc., the TEKKEN fighting game series is one of the world’s most popular gaming franchises. And TEKKEN Hybrid brings you some of the very best that TEKKEN has to offer, all on the one Blu-Ray disc:
TEKKEN Tag Tournament HD
Originally released on PlayStation 2, TEKKEN Tag Tournament gave players a new kind of freedom with the TEKKEN fighting engine. With the introduction of a partner tag system, you could now set up new combos and play styles with teams rather than individual characters. And now you can experience this PlayStation classic remastered in full HD for PS3, and complete with Trophy support. Pair up in the tag-team arena with the likes of King, Jun and Kazuya Mishima, and unlock the classic TEKKEN Bowl mode in this definite title for the fighting genre.
TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 Prologue
This is the one everyone’s waiting for – the chance to get hands-on with the future of TEKKEN. TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 Prologue is a new stand-alone fighting game vignette in TEKKEN’s classic ‘Tag Tournament’ style, based on TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 which is currently in Japanese arcades. It features four playable characters that appear in the movie TEKKEN Blood Vengeance (see below); Ling Xiaoyu, Alisa Bosconovitch, Devil Jin and Devil Kazuya. Plus TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 Prologue is playable in 3D and features Trophy support.
TEKKEN Blood Vengeance
Set after the events of TEKKEN 5, this brand new feature length 3D CG movie is a must-see for TEKKEN fans. Digging deeper into the corrupt underbelly of the Mishima Zaibatsu, Ling Xiaoyu and Alisa Bosconovitch uncover dark secrets that could destroy the Mishima family forever, but will they survive long enough to reveal all? Penned by Dai Sato (Cowboy Bebop and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and directed by Yoichi Mouri, the movie was created by Digital Frontier, the animation studio that created the awesome TEKKEN 6 and TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 CG intros.
Now a word from the man himself, TEKKEN creator and project director Katsuhiro Harada, “”We are very happy to be able to release all of this content on one Blu-Ray disc, and hope that it will be a truly compelling proposition for TEKKEN fans everywhere”.
More from Harada-san to come…. keep an eye on the blog for an upcoming Q&A.
See you all in the arena.

Not really the Ultimate Package in the EU though is it? As we still haven’t heard word about the Limited Edition for us. The only reason I didnt pre-order this is because I was waiting on news of it like Harada-San had told us to. But it seems we didnt/wont be getting it. So now I have to wait because my family and Christmas comes first. Not happy about this at all. >:(

Tekken is losing its appeal but I do love me some TTT. Got some fond memories playing that with friends using multitap. But the franchise really needs to evolve now.
Anyway I have no interest in the demo or the movie so I can’t support this package but I will gladly purchase TTT HD if it arrives in the PSN store, sooner rather than later hopefully.

Got the pack, and I absolutely love it. However, I’d really appreciate if this 2 questions/suggestions to be passed to Harada-san, so maybe can be patched:
-Tag HD: NA and EU versions had a 1 vs 1 Arcade and VS mode, which isn’t on this HD version. Would like to know why and if it can be patched. I know it’s a Tag game, and it’s not really incredible important, but those versions had it and I don’t understand why would they cut them off.
-Tag 2 Prologue: Player 1 can only use Blood Vengeance outfits for the characters, unless he is P2 and uses the normal costumes. Would like to know if they can patch the simple “Cross/Circle: Outfit 2; Square/Triangle: Outfit 1″ command at selection…
Anyways, enjoyed the movie, the game, and I’m still testing Tag 2. It’s really nice and I’m glad I got it, and at the reduced price it has really
Thanks Ross, and if you have it, I hope you enjoy it!

They’ve done a good job with the HD & it brings back memories
Haven’t tried Tekken Tag 2 Prologue yet 7 i’ll watch the movie sometime next week!
Also the disc is one of those annoying ones, where you download the games to your Game folder, but use the disc to run them! When you have the disc in, you have to navigate to the Video section to watch the movie too!
Overall i’m happy with my purchase.

My copy arrived yesterday, the HD upgrade looks great for such an old game and I was surprised to find how excited I got for TTT2 after paying the prologue! It’s not really as bad as a “demo”, it’s a preview, like GT5 Prologue in some respects. It’s even got trophies and I must say, it looks and plays fantastically.
Also, the movie is pretty enjoyable so far too, but I switched to Japanese language with subtitles so bad voice dubbing is not an issue. And it’s blu-ray, NOT DVD, Immortal-Wolf is talking nonsense.
For just over £20, I’m more than happy… the CGI in Blood Vengeance is gorgeous, and I LOVE that crazy panda!

LMAO funny Catkiller1 says it annoying to install game to play with disc yes but all playstation 4 games are installment first then play game with disc as thats what a dev kit does for playstation 4

@ insanity-wolf-
Your post 11 states Tekken Hybrid Limited Edition has online play! Someone posted above that it doesn’t & u agree but myself & others have told u this, but we’re trolls! REALLY???
I wasn’t going 2 reply but you’ve lost the plot & u have a split personality!
Where’s the evidence that PS4 uses that function? No information has been leaked yet & it’s all rumours!
Go back 2 school & educate yourself.
I expect a reply with complete nonsense as always!
You’re hysterical, i’ll give u that

hey people, so dev kits have been sent to ubisoft by PS for the ps4. im guessing we might see ps4 out late next year as ps already made huge mistake by not releasing before or same time as xbox. i cant see sony letting the xbox 720 and the wii u hitting the shops next year and waiting till 2013-2015, competition is very tight so much so we know sony have signed up with toshiba and hitachi to create a new brand of tv’s so no way on earth would they want to be left behind in the console wars!!! if it happens lets just hope its not rushed as sony have a big challenge creating something alot better than ps3 but most of all to re-build its trust with customers again after so many mistakes and poor service.

Remember we’re still waiting on proof of that Google software, UMD drive and now we’ll need proof of everything needing to be installed. A link to a website would be enough I’m sure.

@immortal-wolf-
Without evidence you can’t prove anything. This is why you need to show evidence. So far you’ve proved nothing all you’ve done is throw random claims around with absolutely no backing whatsoever.
Clearly I made a mistake giving you the benifit of the doubt and thinking you were anything other than an ignorent little twerp trying to illicit an angry response. I actually feel sorry for you and hope that your personality is nothing like your online identity.

Believe it or not, unlike English, Japanese doesn’t require spaces.
But of course you’d know that since you’ve studied Japanese.
As much as Wikipedia’s not the best source, here’s a quote from Wikipedia.
“In English, spaces are used for interword separation as well as separation between punctuation and words. In normal Japanese writing, no spaces are left between words”
Not only did you know that but you also no doubt knew these squares aren’t Japanese.
I’ll leave you with this 我不知道他是否通知书的区别

i dont get it? first part is “translate this”, second part is “death from overworked”
ストップ 存在 然う言う だの 這入る いくらかの 敬意 対して 常民 孰 利用 この 所
and i would like to say that there is no statement or comment made from any ps representative in english or japanese explaining or hinting on any type of software, functions or anything else for that matter. if there is then that info is leaked and could be used in a court of law for breach of secrecy, again if there is a leak please could you kindly give me a link so i can read it for myself.

Well I didnt see or hear about any Limited Edition release for this in the UK. If I missed out on it I wanna know where the advertising was and why I didnt see it? Im on Tekken’s official page on Facebook and have asked about it many times and there wasn’t even anything on their YouTube account advertising it either! Overall Im not happy with how the EU have been treated in this resepect.

Ok, no one else has bothered to mention this so I’ll be the one to do it. Why the HELL doesn’t TTTHD have any unlockables?! That was what made the original TTT so fun and satisfying to play! Why would Namco make it so that everything’s already there?! They could’ve even put trophies for unlocking certain things! They’ve really scr e w ed up here!
