Shame,
I just read the prices for the Vita’s memory cards.
With No internal memory, it has become a very expensive buy.
Sorry SONY, I love your stuff, but I have cancelled my pre-order of the vita and I shall wait for a massive price drop.
Sorry guys, you gotta learn not to subsidise your console prices with accessory prices

I voted Uncharted, but I’m also looking forward to Motorstorm RC! It looks awesome! Also Modnation will be lots of fun.

I played MotorStorm RC last week and I recommend it if you have ever enjoyed Micro Machines or Mashed.

James Gallagher Do you know why the PS store got rid of the 5 active system and put it down to 2 active system I was going to get BF3 but not now whats the point.
(before this happened)
DaD PS3 5th active system
Bro PS3 4th active system
Bro PS3 3rd active system
BOB PS3 2nd active system
AKO PS3 1st active system
I would have been able to download my BF3 on all of the active consoles above and play together but not now so Im never buying anything from the PS store again as its now a big rip off.
(PS store gone Cod mode)
Bad Sony No money for you

Allowing five people to own a game that was only paid for once was perhaps a little too generous. The current policy still lets two of you play the game simultaneously, which is more than you can do with a disc version.

@ DAYDANNY666 u can deactive your systems on qirouty .com just go to account management sign than go to account select media and devices go to game than deactive all ……. james well other phones companys like o2 well do a deal with psvita coz im with o2 can u find out ?
Posted on 28 November, 2011 at 10:18 am by James Gallagher
Vodafone is the preferred partner for Vita 3G so you won’t find ‘deals’ with other providers. However, PS Vita is not SIM locked, so you can user other providers’ services if you so wish.

BF3 49.99 2 Active system PS store
Amazon x2 BF3 £73.42
PS store still cheaper
I miss the PS store Games being X5 that on amazon for 5 BF3 would be £183.55 but not now only x2
Well done on making the PS store more rubbish than it all ready was I mean it was starting to get good with Real PS3 games coming to the PS Store Like COD, BF3, Homefront, Bulletstorm and others and what made it good for me was the 5 active systems not 2 but 5 as I felt like I was saving money but not now I would buy it on disk as an extra one is point less.

@ manutreble comes up with this
How to Deactivate a PlayStation®3 System
You can only deactivate your PlayStation®3 system from PlayStation®Network using your PS3™ system. You cannot deactivate it using a PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) system or PC.
On the XMB™ menu, go to PlayStation®Network and sign in to your PlayStation®Network account.
Go to Account Management > System Activation > PS3™ System.
Select the type of content you no longer want your PS3™ system to use.
Highlight [Deactivate System] and press the X button. Your system will then be deactivated.
Highlight [OK] and press the X button.
For more information or assistance, please visit PlayStation® Support.

So 2 active systems is still good but two me its point less as one PS3 is active but dead so for me its cheaper to buy on disk.

to the guy talking about the 5 activve system thing, this only really effects people who gameshare, you can still use the downloads on more than 2 units but you would just have to deactivate then reactivate to do this, it takes seconds.
if they were all your units you dont have to worry that it wont be deactivated after your bro ect are finished with them

Loved Micro Machines, so I think I’ll love Motorstorm RC also

@DAYDANNY666: You can now go to https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com to deactivate all your connected consoles, this will clear all the YLOD PS3s and ones that your brother sold or what have you. Only works once every six months. Otherwise you need to deactivate the PS3 on the console itself.
Should help a lot of people clear their backlogs of defunct systems.

Hmm, why is it that when I try to deactive a system it says:
“You can only deactivate your PlayStation®3 system from PlayStation®Network using your PS3™ system. You cannot deactivate it using a PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) system or PC.” It’s kinda annoying since one of my older PS3 crashed (or, a new old model, after I had transfered everything over to it).. But it doesn’t seem to work to deactivate them….

why is the content different on battlefield 3 less than the content for the Xbox360 and pc?? They get all the veteran dogtags all 10. We get 3!
Because Sony doesn’t like to admit it wasn’t the first gaming platform?

Same you can’t just deactivate ’1′ PS3 from that site
I wanted to deactivate my 1st PS3(Fat 60GB RIP)but you can’t do it that way(unless i got that wrong) + Its dead so i can’t switch it on to deactivate erm it
Anyway can’t wait for the ‘Jak And Daxter Collection’ ;-P Missed it on the PS2(playing ‘SLY HD Trilogy’ at the moment & its well good) I wish someone would do a ‘TimeSplitters HD Collection’ to
(YES i know its not a SONY owned game) LoL

@Carl-G: You can just deactivate all of them and reactivate the ones you use when you use them. This really only affects people who “game-share” if you have access to all the consoles in question then it is the work of a moment to reactivate the PS3 or PSP that you have just booted up.

You got to be kidding me. Not only are you introducing yet another proprietary Sony memory format (and we all know how unpopular Memory Stick is) to confuse and frustrate customers, but the Vita memory cards cost 2-5 TIMES more than SD cards of equal size. That is outrageous. It’s going to make a lot of people question their Vita purchase. I’m considering dropping my pre-order, as the 32GB’s price is prohibitive.

@ VictorAnalogy: How can you deactivate them? Every time I try to deactivate any of them it says I have to do it on the console….

Posted on 28 November, 2011 at 12:37 pm by VictorAnalogy
Go to the link, sign in, select “Account” tab at the top, then “media and devices” mouse over the “Game” box and you should have an option to deactivate all consoles.

[DELETED] THE BLOG RECAP HAS CAME 2 DAYS LATE ON PS3 BROWSER!
Posted on 28 November, 2011 at 4:43 pm by James Gallagher
It has come two days late everywhere. I scheduled it when I left the office on Friday as usual but WordPress didn’t feel like publishing it when I told it to.

Your question is too hard. Even though I will get PSVita, if not launch but someday, I can’t tell which one is the best one or the most interesting since I haven’t played any of them.

I have one problem with the deactivation.
It is that I can’t tell which device is my broken one from the list.
27
Posted on 28 November, 2011 at 3:26 pm by VictorAnalogy
@Lucreto: You can only deactivate *all devices* or none. So deactivate all of them and reactivate all the ones that you want to use. Easy.
@Morgan: It would make no sense for Sony to build the PS3 to fail. They lose money (or at least lost money) on every console sold. They make money on software sales. So it makes sense to make the console last or else they keep losing a bit more money each time you buy another console.
The Wii has more solid build quality because the technology is so old. The price of better performance is that you lose a little bit of reliability. It’s a pay off I’m happy to have made.
I’ll be picking up a PS Vita on day one. The launch line-up (especially Uncharted: Golden Abyss) looks great.

@james
have to elaborate on a earlier post asking to see pictures of your christmas deccies etc, only i would like to see a few pictures of your place of work, maybe in a feature including the team, i often hear yourself or andy saying that you’s are only a small team etc, and i can’t help but envision a few people working out of a broomcupboard scenario lol, but seriously it would be a good/entertaining post if you could arrange a virtual tour.
am a little sorry i never viewed the weekend debate a bit sooner on friday, as i was all set to post till i seen i was beaten to it, and the guy won a (awsome looking) code, then over the weekend i have had a slight problem with my gateway which i only just found time to look at, i could go online etc but not sign in to any sites, just a minor cookie problem, anyway hope you’s had a good weekend.
Posted on 28 November, 2011 at 5:22 pm by James Gallagher
I’ve thought about things like that before but I’m not sure how interesting it would be. The blog team is just me and I am quite boring. Maybe a Christmas tour of the office would work though… leave it with me!

@VictorAnalogy: Thanks! I found it out on my own right after I had asked you again, but there should’ve been one button at the page which had all the activated systems… Or so I think it should’ve been.

when are we going to see some video store updates on the blog?
i mean, you finally get some tv shows on there, on the uk store at least.
i’d have thought you’d be shouting it from the rooftops.
but nothing.
it’s great the shows are on there now, though series passes like itunes offer would be nice.
but when are we going to see posts about the video store on the blog again?
or are you going to let sites like TSA do your job for you?
