We’re excited to announce a partnership with Ubisoft which is allowing us to offer a special costume for FINAL FANTASY XIII-2′s male protagonist, Noel, as downloadable content. He will be able to dress up as the master assassin from the latest Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. As you can see above, Ezio Auditore’s costume has been lovingly recreated for Noel.
We’ll be announcing the release date of this DLC at another time, but we thought you’d like to get a sneak peek at it ahead of time. For more information on FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, check out the Square Enix Blog. We’ve recently been posting a load of new screenshots as well as our recent ‘Battle In Valhalla’ trailer. Well worth checking out, if you haven’t already!
FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 will be on shelves in Europe on February 3rd 2012.

The internet era; where developers no longer care about putting extra content on disc. Seriously, DLC being announced two months prior to release!? I’d ask if this’ll be offered for free but we already know the answer, huh…?

Free right, pretty sure it should be free, the games not even out yet, Altair costume was on MGS4 for free…
Don’t screw over your fans and charge for everything.

I really hate that stupid little girl in the game. Seriously, get rid of her. Get her run over by a train or something – her voice makes my eyes bleed.

Dear God, just when you thought FF couldn’t get any worse…
Just… kill this series please now please rather than this long painful death you’re giving it…

Geez why can you not have it like unlockable bonus or something like in the old days? And on top of hat you annonce it 2months before release which mean you are already finish with it.

Miss the old times when you get something for finishinga a game on the hardest difficult or finding all hidden stuff. Now we just get trophies…

@11 kivi95:
You miss the old days for dev’s putting stuff for completing game on hard modes or hidden stuff…
I personally miss the old Days when Gamers weren’t whiners who believed they are entitled to the world and its children (Oh and an added E-peen Trophy) for playing a game on hard mode or doing hidden stuff, they did it for fun and pleasure…I know playing games for fun and doing extras for the fun of it, what an archaic concept.

@BlaizeK
in the old days there was a lot more originality now days everything feels the same.and the later installment from FF had a horrible RPG battle system i´d rather get the good old turn based style back instead off the small area 2 run around and not much chance off defending yourself.

i too have no respect for SEE (Square Enix europe) you buy a new studio & dissed of your fanbase FF13 was alright i never finish it due to corupt save.
however after FF13-2 day 1 buy i want to see how it will end, but go back to your roots like ff12 FF10 or better still turn based final fantasy like ff7 8 & 9 no need for remake.
yes sure do remakes but next FF be true JRPG in story.
ff13 was a RPG set to please western 360 gamers
also bring imports to EU don’t give us the silent treatment.

What the helal ws the ideia? Final Fantasy mixed with Assasins Creed?
Well I guess just like Assasins Creed is getting way over milked (Ezio is a cow by now…), so is Final Fantasy struggling to release a good RPG game like it used to be.

@BlaizeK; You seem to miss the point. Unlike older games where any extras needed to be included on disc or never came to be, publishers/developers are pushing said content as DLC at a cost for what are already expensive games. I’m not saying it applies to all DLC, but the content, in particular skins, were free as part of the game in the past whereas they’re a tidy little profit now.

You’ll always have my support SE no matter what the whiners say. I still have plenty of faith. XIII was a good game, and with the improvements to XIII-2 I expect it to be even better.

unlike some ppl i do see ppl points the clue is in the title “final fantasy” while ezio may not be real the historian clues places are real in the game of assassin creed series.
there was assassins in those days you bring a factual character in a fantasy game it hardly called fantasy is’nt it.
i know noel doesn’t want or say “i’m a assassin” the point is it like Jak & dex in p0rn doesn’t work because it out of place.
true i dont need to buy it.

Ezio costumes design is simply one of the bests, if not the best, of the current generation. I think I wouldn’t mind to play a FF character with that cosplay. Still I bought all AC games (and FF games for Playstation). I think I deserve the free DLC. Hopefully it will be available with U-play points.

Sigh… The ffs were one of the only jrpgs i liked… But now, they just dont feel real anymore… If they did a sequel to an old one like ffvii or ffviii or even the ffi i would be pleased. Or then they could just make them like they used to be… Or make kingdom hearts 3…
