How goes it, my friends? We’re almost one month away from the PS Vita launch here in Europe, and NAMCO BANDAI Games is nearly ready to launch the next chapter in the Katamari saga on February 22nd.
We’ve already been over how the new core game play mechanics work – stretch and squeeze the katamari with the rear touch panel to change the shape of your rolly ball of fun to better maneuver around each level.
What we HAVEN’T been able to tell you much about yet, is the STORY! I’ll let the first look at the prologue video below fill you in, but this clip gives fans a look at the terrifying revelation uncovered by the King of All Cosmos at the beginning of our stretchy tale. Once the greatest in the universe… the king finds out that his level of cool is now only on par with something he simply won’t stand for… thus beginning a redemption tale for the ages!

I love Katamari, I have both We Love Katamari for PS2 and Katamari Forever for PS3. If I get a PSVita I will get this!

I totally *heart* Katamari too – BUT this video really sucks – lost it’s way. I really hope this isn’t a sign of a dodgy version, Vita deserves and needs better.

Wow, is the mom sleeping with the principal or what! So awkward video, and the whole “Touch my…”, god this game is already a winner!
