If you’re anything like me, you’ll be spending a lot more time enjoying this fun new feature than you would ever have expected. The Mod Postcards feature is found in the “Favourites” section of the Creation Station and for a good reason – you’ll be coming back to it over and over (and more than likely yet again).
1. Postcard Image
The first thing you’ll be asked to do is either load an image or take a photo. “Take a photo” is fairly straightforward. Using either the PlayStation Vita’s front or rear camera you’ll frame your shot using the front touch screen’s viewfinder. You’ll notice a miniature Tag and his Kart superimposed into the centre of the display awaiting the click of the shutter. Simply touch the “Take Pic” icon in the top left corner to take the picture.
The second option is “load a photo”. Trust me when I say this makes things even more interesting. Load any image you have downloaded onto your Vita as the background of your Mod Postcard or utilize Vita’s built-in web browser and you’ll have access to all the images you could hope for via the web.
2. Mod / Kart Poses
The next step asks you to tap on the Mod or Kart and thus begins the fun. Use your fingers to move, pinch, push, pull, squeeze and rotate Tag or his Kart to your desired size and position in the photo. You will also have numerous options for your chosen Mod’s expression as well as pose. Just a press of the save icon (pencil writing to disc) button and voila!!!… Your very own Mod Postcard! Oh, it doesn’t stop there – remember the two million-plus creations that you and the ModNation community have created so far?… YEP, you’ll have access to ALL of those Mods and Karts to use in your ModNation photo masterpieces. Think about the possibilities. Ba-BAM! That was your mind being blown right? Yeah, I thought so!
3. Share Your Postcards
With Vita’s connectivity you have the ability to link to your Facebook account and publish your Mod Postcards for all your friends and family to see! Hmmmmm… can’t wait to see what the ModNation “paparazzi” come up with. This ought to be fun!
Have a great week everyone!

Was really exited for this game UNTIL I read that there was NOT going to be any online competive multiplayer… Seriosly Mario kart 3DS have it and even Modnation psp have it. I would rather see you delay the game instead because rightnow no buy from me.(Geez a raceing game without online competive multiplayer?)

Is it true that this doesn’t feature on line multi player? I was so hyped for this game until I heard said rumour.

9# For a racing game, online competive multiplayer is a MUST. This is 2012 for god sake NOT 1995.

Lost interest in the system over the last few months, but no online racing is a complete failure.I always thought this could be the first Kart series that would push MK since Diddy Kong,I dont think it ever will now.

NO ONLINE PLAY = NO BUY
@San Diego Studios
Sorry, but as much as it hurts me I won’t buy this game. I’m a big fan of ModNation Racers (PS3) and I have recommended this game to many of my friends and we had a blast playing online. I love this game so much that I even go the Platinum trophy for it.
But when I hear that this game won’t have an online mode I was so disappointed that I’ve been telling all my friends not to get it…why not support online play? EVEN MARIO KART (which I think is an inferior game) has online play.

Such a shame this doesn’t have online competitive racing, I thought this was going to be the definitive handheld racer but once you complete the SP it doesn’t really leave you with much else to do. I’m sure MNR: RT will still be an awesome experience on the Vita I just kind of feel a bit let down, my fault for overhyping but that said I’m still looking forward to this.

never purchased a game like this before,so I thought I would pick it up for my vita when I get it(cant wait!) but! Iam sorry no competitive multiplayer & your wanting £30 you can bet that the sales for this game will be way lower than you expect after breaking that news.still hyped about the vita tho!

Another disappointed customer at lack of multiplayer. May pick it up used / cheap but doubt a day one buy.

Hate to continue the sound which could be likened to a broken record… but no online multiplayer = no sale for me too. whats the point of pushing the connectivity of vita ( even releasing a 3g model) and restricting online functionality.
i’ll stick to the psp version.

Real shame they’ve decided to aim this game it seems more towards kids now, postcards really! And I’m guessing no online multiplayer is so they don’t go crying to mummy because _IWinEveryTimeLoL_ totally wiped the floor with them.
Oh Well! I guess I shell also be sticking with the PSP & PS3 version.

Let’s save the unnecessary long comment and break down everyone’s comments to this
No Online = No Buy
It’s making me think i shouldn`t worry about vita any time soon if they are allowing companies to be so dumb (No Offence, WWAAAIITTT…….. All Offence actually)
Insult us with this we have the right to insult back!

surely with all these comments about online multi-player the devs will have to update the game with online, look at how many more sales it would make, i’m sure everyone on this comment thread would buy the game if it had, i reckon they will release an update for it.

Just to echo similar comments to hope it changes some minds that matter, a lack of online competitive multiplayer is incredibly foolish. It goes against the whole concept of the game, both in the racing and in the showing off of user created content.

Sorry to say this, but also for me: no online, no buy!

Has to be said releasing this with no online play or at least without the promise that it will be patched in soon after launch is the wrong call, come on Sony listen to what your fans want, dont send what could be a great franchise out to die.

the promise of multiplayer at a layer date!could sway me on purchasing this game but no multiplayer then no buy sorry.

& lastly no online mode.

isn’t it somewhat ironic calling it Road Trip, when it only has local multiplayer? o_O

@HazelAM: I guess it’s Road Trip: Hangover

@almighty-slayer but it can`t do multiple psn accounts because they are built into the hardware and to use another psn account you have to do a system reset and lose all your data.

Posted on 17 January, 2012 at 8:13 pm by DAYDANNY666
@almighty-slayer and one other thing keep your laptop handy when you get stuck playing a game in PS vita because there is no in game web browsing and also Nintendo’s 3DS can do this why can`t the ps vita.

The Guy at Sony Who likes to Tie things down to the Hardware so there unchangeable needs to stop I think the internet browser is tie to the hardware as well and it don`t have no flash support yet.

No bothered about the postcard system. I just found out yesterday that the game won’t have online racing. Was totally gutted. This motorstorm RC and ruin was top of my list to buy once released. Now mod racer has drop way down the list, which is a shame as mod racer is in my top 5 all time fav games on PS3. Do companies not bother with beta testing anymore? Coz if they did they would have found out that they needed to add online racing.

y no online? It’s a huge step back, we don’t want pointless postcards we want online multiplayer, I’m cancelling my preorder

with all of this prodding, pritching, grabbing not to mention slapping at the screen of our forthcomming beloved Vitas, I rather think the Sony could sell some little thimble type palm less “gloves” (lets call them gants des doigts in english)inorder to keep finger marks off the screen. These gants would not be too dissimilar to certain “warmers”that I have heard tell of over the ages. What think you all? Hm? Hmmmm?
