Update: Sadly, we are now unable to publish The Simpsons Arcade until next week, Wednesday 8 February, and not today as listed. We apologise for getting you excited about playing it too early but, rest assured, it will still be available to PS Plus members at no extra cost for a full four weeks. By way of small compensation, we will extend the 100% discount on Back to the Future: The Game for an additional week, for those who might have missed it last month.
And so by popular demand, we update at the beginning of the month and bring you one of the best months yet for PlayStation Plus.
First of all, we have a brand new PSN title for you at no extra cost, The Simpsons Arcade. The year – 1991. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to chase down the nefarious Smithers, who has kidnapped Maggie! Play as either Homer, Bart, Marge or Lisa and track him down before it’s “too late”, (too late for what I’m not entirely sure…) and save the day! The Simpsons Arcade will be available until the 29th February, so make sure you grab it in the first 4 weeks of this refresh.
More freebies too in the shape of Hungry Giraffe, the latest mini from our friends at Laughing Jackal and the iPhone hit, Farm Frenzy. Oh and a little something from Square-Enix in the shape of Final Fantasy V, as we have previously mentioned.

@200 yes your 100% right. This is getting beyond the joke now. Ok so were getting farcry 2 but that’s only due to the fact farcry3 isn’t too far from release, just like we were given infamous when the psn was hacked as infamous2 shipped a few days after.

Hi Ross, i got the same issue as everybody else in here… i can’t go log into PS store and download anything i have purchased or got for free i am also PS+ member and this is not to complain nothing like that it’s more like an information to the PSN staff so you know who have been unfortunate to get this problem… i hope very much that you can get it up an’ running ASAP since i have a whole lot of games that i have purchased here in February but i have another issue that i have experienced on PS store… there are 3 games that i have purchased but when i go through the PS store then it cannot find out that i have actually purchased them the games this issue is about is Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and DeathSpank: The Baconing… i usually have the ability to download them through my download list but i can’t rate them or anything like that!

I cannot just stop laughing on why did Gamespot gave The Simpsons Arcade Game on Xbox 360 a 3 out of 10. That is called insulting great arcade games. I mean wow just plain wow! They say it’s too short and shallow? It’s an arcade game and they are mean’t to be short and hard.

Doubtful you’ll see this but. The US store is getting a demo for the house of dead game, for plus members only i mean And also a game trial for Battlefield bc2, which means it’ll be available for sale as well. i think this happens around 14th Feb(?), so are we getting the same?, and if/when you’s put Battlefield bad company2 up Please keep in mind that xbla are selling it for £14.99, If its around that price i’d get it, i allready played through it on xbox but would buy it again, as its been a while since i last played it, also any chance of giving us a similar offer for Dead Island as you did for the rayman origins game, (is that its name?), you know the one i mean.. thanks.
ps. i mean plus is meant to be for 18+ ages, isn’t it?, but i just keep seeing pegi3 games all the time.

Thank you for putting up Far Cry 2 free for us “plusies” (steady)! I was going to buy it but forgot! Thank god for that! LOL! I’d like you to note my appreciation for the content provided through the PS+ scheme and generally I have been happy with the service. I find it to be a great help in playing certain games without feeling I’ve wasted money if I don’t like it. I’ve seen some people complaining about certain content not beIng their “cup of Tea”, but not EVERY piece of content is going to be suitable or apply to everyone, is it? Hopefully we will be set to see some great things in the months and years to come and thanks for the great deals so far! If you could just answer me this one question I would be made up: With regards to the PS Vita and PS+ members – will there be any discounts for Vita items on both PS3 store and the Vita store or would (if any) PS+ vita content just be available on the PS3 store? Will we have to buy Vita+ or will we be Universally “Plused”? Thank you – keep up the good work!

Yeah whats the crack. Get it sorted and stop being so unreliable with your customers i love my ps3 but i hate the service.. e.g maintenance all the time psn plus problems. If i borrowed money off a friend and didnt have the money for some reason ill tell him whats going on whereas psn are the kind of company that would be the person who avoids the problem and loses respect as a result pull your finger out of your rusty ring pieces.

You asked yesterday, so obviously Far Cry 2 wouldn’t appear within the store
The Store updates normally between 15:00 & 17:00 every Wednesday so it should be there this afternoon!

I have both a USA account and a Europe account and have noticed that the americans get way more free games and that they are able to download them earlier!
Why is this the case?
They pay the same as me for the Plus service but have more games, discounts and freebies. Also there Store feels better to use.
Is there any viable reason for the differance!!

I was going to post this in response to a more relevant post… but the last one I could see was over 30 days old so I couldn’t comment.
About a year ago, you said that Tombi had been sent through the clearance and QA process. I take it that something went wrong there as it’s not yet available on PSN Europe. Just wondering if you could let us know what it’s status currently is?
