Today is a Wednesday and that means another round of updates for the European PS Store. Let’s all cheer together. Hurrah!
This week we have not one but three ‘Blu-ray Disc to Digital’ titles – Mini Ninjas, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men and Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.
European users can also join in on the Gotham City Imposters beta. Will you be one of the Batmen or will you side with The Joker team? Whatever you chose, expect some crazy FPS action with an even crazier amount of customisation options. Go crazy, imposters!
This week also sees the release of the new Twisted Metal Beta. Cars? Check. Weapons? Check. Big maps? Check. Combine all that together? Chaotic fun is what you’ll receive. Have a taster of what the new game will offer including 8 playable vehicles with a host of modes – Single player training, single player challenge mode, multiplayer online deathmatch and multiplayer online nuke mode.
The last big demo of the week goes to Syndicate. Syndicate is a re-imagination of the classic 1993 game – a cyber punk FPS set in a dystopian world where large Syndicates rule and Business is War. In the 4-player co-op demo, team-up to take down rival Syndicate Cayman Global as you battle for market dominance and your life.
On the Avatar front I’m also pleased to be able to say the Metal Gear Solid avatars have arrived! The range is based on MGS2, 3 and Peace Walker, coinciding with the HD Collection release this week. Many of you clamoured for them and now they’re here. Enjoy!
Lastly, this week sees the start of the PSP Power Sale, lasting until the end of the month. Full details of content are further below.
Have a great week guys, as I’m sure you will with some big games due out, and I shall be sure to read your comments!

Hi Jawad
Please answer
I wanted to know the current the status of Crash Bash, this game has been asked for since the beginning of last year and Ross said it would be released at the end of 2011 if it passed Q&A first time.
I just wanted to know has it has passed or failed Q&A, at least give me an indication as if it has failed then I don’t have to get my hopes high as to it getting released on PSN.
Please give a clear answer on the status of this game.
Thanks

Hello Jawad
Any news on Resident Evil 2 and 3? They have been out in the US for some time now.
P.S. The “Driver” PSOne Classic icon got the wrong size once installed.

I have a question. Today, in the ps store, there will be an old Simpsons arcade game from 1991, for £8.00.
But you can get it for free, if you have playstation plus. I don’t wanna pay £40.00 for a year, of ps plus.
But there is another deal, were you can get playstation plus, for 90 days, for £12.00.
So for another £4.00, i could get 90 days of playstation plus, and my Simpsons arcade game for free.
But, my question is.. When my playstation plus subscription runs out, will i still keep the games, i got from ps plus?

Quite a good update Jawad! Just a shame there isn’t much that interests me in there.
Quick question, do you know anything about PSVita game pricing on the store yet? I have read in a number of places that it’s meant to be cheaper than buying from my local store… will Uncharted really be less than £39.99 on the PSN store day 1?
Posted on 1 February, 2012 at 2:44 pm by Jawad Ashraf
It seems other regions are going with this so I “assume” EU would, too. However, this is not a confirmation as I don’t actually deal with pricing. I will find out and hopefully have a more solid response next week.

also i’m interested in getting the vita and want to play ps1 games on it, so with the final fantasy sale currently on, i just wanna know if i get a ps1 game will it work on vita, on release or afterwards?

Great update guys!
I know you have heard this a million and one times before, but is there any news on Kingdom hearts BBS and FFVII crisis core being released on the store? I’d love to be able to play them with my new Vita in a few weeks! thanks
Posted on 1 February, 2012 at 2:41 pm by Jawad Ashraf
No word, sorry. I’d personally love to see both released on the Store. BbS is heavily critical in terms of story to the whole KH universe and CC just because I’m a Zack fanboy.

Are we likely to see any Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC next week?
Many thanks for your hard work – another excellent update!
Posted on 1 February, 2012 at 2:42 pm by Jawad Ashraf
Hopefully but I haven’t seen any confirmation on this on my end. I’ll be lucky to finish the main game in just a week!

Hi Jawad
Before the Vita launches can we get a list of what the prices the games will be and at what time the store will be updated with them on or before launch day, as i and many others would like to make an informed decision about the best place to buy our launch games from.
Please respond,
Thanks!!
PS. Doing a great job so far mate

See post #8 for a loose response. I should hopefully have more information for next week’s post.

Good to see some comments asking about the PS Vita PSN store situation, as that’s what I came here to ask about. It would be great if you could give us some information about pricing and games that will be on the store day and date of the Vita release here, as I’m sure you can appreciate many of us are looking forward to a seemless launch day.

There’s bound to be more RPG’s eventually but I haven’t got anything I can mention right now. Also, go get FFVI (6) for a good time!
As for Saints Row DLC, the publisher will know first if they have more planned for the game but I’d expect there will be more.

Nothing for me again … already downloaded twisted metal and syndicate demo’s from american psn , also when will we get the resident evil 4 avatars we were promised if we purchased the game (false advertising ) i know its just avatars w/e but that isn’t the point … the point is you scammed us sony and that is unacceptable.

There hasn’t been a change in this either but we are still working toward a solution.

Hello Jawad,
A few questions:
1) Heard anything in the playstation halls about Tombi?
2) Do you have any idea if THQ would be willing to have a DLC sale on Saints Row 2 and Red Faction Guerilla?
3) Is House of the Dead 3 going to be £4.99? I’m basing that one the 30% Plus discount of £1.49, just to check it isn’t an error!
4) Ban cheeky4life?

Good update, but the special offers (not the PSP ones of course) are almost all that had been on sale in the previous weeks already.

Just remembered a few points:
1) Do you know why the Batman Arkham Asylum DLC has went missing? There is only one map pack and the Joker dlc has went missing.
2) Thank you for the MGS avatars! I’ve had my Ratchet and Clank one for almost five years now (it is a sentimental thing) – I’ll ‘upgrade’ to Naked Snake when my HD Collection arrives.

Interesting first question. I’ll raise this with the team.

@7
Regarding your ps plus games, if you got them 100% free you can’t keep them. They will expire and you won’t be able to access them.
I am led to believe if they expire and you subsequently reactivate they will be accessible again. But don’t hold me to that.
Anything bought on discount is fine though, still yours!

I’ve contacted customer support and am still yet to have any resolution to the missing Renegade Ops DLC code or the minis issue. Would be nice to finally get some response from you regarding the Renegade Ops codes, up to now you have ignored every comment about them. It’s been months without any news or acknowledgment. Appalling customer service.

So, what about Arc the Lad in Norway? We got it in december, so I really don’t know what the problem is. Monkeypaw disn’t seem to know anything about this when I contaced them on Twitter, so it seems the fault is with SCEE.
I paid for my PS+, so I am really looking forward to getting the content I was promised, 3 months ago =)

What in the world is happening with TM for AU?
First we have to wait a extra month then the states for the full game, and now we miss out on the MP demo?
I say demo because beta is a term used for games still in development game went gold a few weeks ago. Same goes for the J&D colection, why are we getting it a month later then the states?

Any chance of Peggle PSP in the sale this month?
_
I want to get it (before a long trip) but already bought it on PS3, so would hate to pay full price again for the same game, just before a sale offer…
if you can’t say directly … whats the chance? 0%, 10% , 100% ?

Will the XIII-2 Redeem get activated today?
The game are starting to sell even though its first released on Friday. But I’m sitting with 2 DLC codes I can’t use yet.
Or do I have to wait till friday to redeem them?

A e-mail form Square-Enix Europe suggested that there would be a Final Fantasy XIII-2 demo.

The PSP Power Sale looks suspiciously like the Final Fantasy sale from last week with a few extra games added in
I take it when a certain hardware launch arrives, the sale powers up?

@ wwechelseafan: you won’t be able to keep free games after Plus runs out. You will, however, keep games you bought with discount and free DLC, avatars etc.
I have a question as well: will Uncharted 3 be released on the Store?
Thanks for the great update and your hard work!
