In just a few short days ModNation Racers: Road Trip will be hitting the store shelves alongside the release of the much-anticipated PlayStation Vita! Our team at San Diego Studio has worked very hard to produce what we think is the best portable kart racing game on the market. We’ve added many new features (see below) to the already highly acclaimed ModNation Racers franchise and we are extremely excited to finally get them into the hands of gamers everywhere.
Sure, it may sound a bit silly to the un-initiated but the Mod, Karts, and Tracks YOU create become a small extension of yourself. You experience a sense of e-pride (just made that word up) similar to whipping out your wallet to show pictures of your gorgeous wife and kids anyone who will listen. You’ll notice a grin on your face and a slight swell in your heart (admit it or not) the first time you hand your Vita and ModNation Racers: Road Trip to a friend as they “ooh and ahhhh” at YOUR “genius” creations. Trust me, you will hear at least one of the following comments…
1. YOU did that?
2. How did YOU do that?
3. Make me! Make me!
4. Do I know you?
5. Let me try
6. Ding!, fries are done.
or quite possibly…
7. Wow, I really like your Mod! … Are you single?
We hope you’ll agree the kart racing experience in ModNation Racers: Road Trip is second to none. Perfectly tuned racing physics and spectacular graphics add to the intense yet intuitive racing. With well over 500,000 tracks to race you’ll be busy until the next millennium going through them all. We know, we counted.
So if you are a fan of ModNation Racers, the Play Create Share family, or just kart racing in general we know you will enjoy ModNation Racers: Road Trip. If you haven’t made the leap into this great game and even greater community of players then we have just one suggestion – Try it – you’ll be hooked for life!

Wow. Ok, that track editing is real nice, only ever had the PSP version and always felt it was so limiting in that I had to always compromise because of something I couldn’t do with it. This just looks like it gives you so much more freedom.

No online, framerate issues and looks a bit rushed. They were clearly pressed for getting this ready for launch and they should clearly have used 3-4 months more to get these things fixed.
Sorry, but gonna pass.

even tho i heard about this game not having online(possible update can add later) and not as good as the ps3 version , i have chosen to pre-order this along with uncharted golden abyss and fifa football as it is an enjoyable game and the ideas are their and set the mark for what lbpKarting can achieve and if Modnation franchise continues, end even if they can’t stand together then atleast it has bet lbp to the launch of the hand-held

im still getting this on launch but i really hope they keep maintaining this game with patches for stable game play and ofcourse online multi-player. I hope they realise how many more copies they will sell with online multi-player.

I’m just not seeing why I should buy it for Vita, I have the ps3 & psp version so what can I do in this version that’s so great? The only thing that seems to be easier is maybe creating tracks but what the point in even bothering to create stuff anymore if you can’t play the track you made with your friends online.
I think I’ve spent more time on the ps3 version just driving around looking at what people have made up & taking pic’s to show my other friends online how cool it was than I have racing, and messing around drifting in circles head on at each other & jumping over the people at the top of the ramp.

Ehm… the reviews aren’t very positive:
“By far the most blatantly rushed cash-in attempt of all the PS Vita launch titles, ModNation Racers: Road Trip is to be avoided at all costs.”
“ModNation Racers had a pretty good debut on the PS3, but the series has been on a downward trajectory since. Sadly, ModNation Racers: Roadtrip only continues that trend. It’s a complete misfire, and no amount of goofy skins or nifty track editors can make up for the seriously busted fundamentals.”
I think I skip this one.

Sorry, but no online in a racer is the definition of fail. At least RC is only <£5 so it might be worth the pickup.

im still getting it. ign review did say it was a solid. game play. yeah the menu system isnt great and there are minor lag issues. but they did conclud that its a good kart racer. the othrr issues can be fixed by patches. oh and the people that are waiting for LBP karting…..there are no details on it and it my be a PS3 exclusive. for all we know it could be rubbish, and if it isnt then I will also get it and have both. why do people have this or that instead of I want both for diffrent reasons the bring to the karting game arena.

Reading all the reviews you haven´t fixed the problems that where in the first Modnation game on the PS3. They are all there on the Vita.
Never a Modnation for me, sorry guys.
