We are confident that when PS Vita launches on 22nd February, it is going to change portable gaming forever and we have created an advertising campaign to show the immersive, powerful and connected gaming experiences that PS Vita offers.
The campaign celebrates that PS Vita brings the world in to play and brings to life incredible experiences wherever you are connecting to gamers all over the world.
PS Vita is our fifth platform launch and we have not lost any of our passion for gaming. Therefore, launching the ultimate next generation portable console gives us the opportunity to once again share our passion with you.
Take a look at our new TV ad celebrating the start of a gaming revolution, first on YouTube (YouTube.com/PSVITA). And let us know what you think.

So what does the ad tell potential customers about the Vita? Sweet FA. Are they going to go out of their way to worry about what a pretentious looking advert is about? Unlikely.
Whoever devised this campaign needs a slap in the face. You’ve forgotten rule 101 of advertising – the product. A one second glimpse of a game in action in a minute-long advert is not going to sell the system. Pretentious adverts put people off. Hugely.
In conclusion, an absolutely pitiful ad, epsecially when compared to the US’s #gamechanger ads

That was actually a good example of how you should do emotion/image marketing when building a brand. It would have been perfect if the device was not shown in the ad at all and there would have been some political incorrectness in it.
Those of you who wanted to see more specs should go to youtube and check some 1950′s television ads. Do you really think that a smiling girl holding an PS Vita in her hands while a man in labcoat points in charts drawn in blackboard and tells in a monotonical voice that “The CPU of a PS Vita is 4-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore and the graphics shown in devices embedded 5-inch 24-bit color, 960 × 544 qHD @ 220 ppi OLED multi-touch capacitive touchscreen is handled by a 4-core SGX543MP4+ GPU. Connectivity is based on IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and an optional 3G. Still we have managed to keep the dimensions in 83.55 mm (3.289 in) height, 182 mm (7.2 in) width, 18.6 mm (0.73 in) depth and the PS Vita weighs only a 260 grams (9.2 oz) or 279 grams (9.8 oz) with the optional 3G” would boost the sales of this kind of a device?
