Greetings humble gamers. I come forth with a new update of the PlayStation Store.
After a bit of a wait we now have Worms Ultimate Mayhem ready and waiting to claim your precious hard drive space. Grand Theft Auto IV arrives to the PS Store as a vanilla flavour or as a bundle option complete with DLC, and House of the Dead III also shows its beautifully scary side for you to unload your rounds on.
The big demo this week is Mass Effect 3. Fire the first shots in the war to take Earth back! Voted Most Anticipated Game of 2012 at the SpikeTV VGAs, Mass Effect 3 puts you at the centre of an all-out galactic war – and how to wage that war is up to you. Try the demo today.
Binary Domain also pops in for a visit, also having a demo on the store today. From the team that brought you Yakuza comes Binary Domain, a game set in a futuristic Tokyo where man and machine are waging war. A bit like Terminator only in Tokyo, then. But nay! It’s the gameplay system that should be of interest. Direct your team with instructions either by button commands or your very own voice – do they trust you or are you just a reckless muppet in the middle of a warzone?
Also, Far Cry 2 has its price slashed to £7.99/€9.99! Even better, if you’re a PS Plus subscriber then it is offered to you at a 100% cut. Imagine that. Oh wait, you won’t have to!
Today we also enter a new phase of select PlayStation 2 titles appearing on the store. We’re taking things slow with a selection of titles (full list below), but a couple of gems to definitely check out are God Hand and Maximo.
“God or demon, what am I? It’s time for me to choose my path!” (I love the song!) Receiving a controversial review, God Hand is a sorely underexposed PS2 game that was, for many players, a truly wild ride. With crazy moves such as the “Ball Buster” and a truly colourful set of characters, God Hand was not only fun, frantic and hilarious but also pretty gosh darned hard!
Now, if that doesn’t take your fancy (why?!) then give Maximo a shot. Using the classic Ghosts ‘n Goblins as a sort of base design, the game has you take up arms as Maximo, who needs to save his lady friend and other loved ones from an evil chap called Achilles. With classic style gameplay reimagined, Maximo is sure to provide you with some great fun and amusing moments when you’re stripped to your hearty underwear whilst fighting off the undead. No man is more brave and determined than this, surely?
I hope you enjoy some of what’s on today.
Stay safe, readers.
Bye!

Microsoft got the ME3 demo yesterday ON TIME, SCEA got the demo yesterday, but we get expensive conversion rates, reduced content and we get to wait for the privilege of this.
Utterly incompetent.

That’s probably the longest Sony has ever taken to update the Store, i guess they know that their servers are going to implode because of all of the people trying to download the Mass Effect 3 demo at the same time.

I understand the people that are saying to make a US account if we are unhappy and yes it makes alot of sense. However, why should we have to? Why should we have to make a US account just to get the service we should be getting anyway.
If you went out shopping and the store assistant was extremley pleasant and helpful to the customer in front of you you would expect the same service. If that assistant acted like you had just clubbed a baby seal to death with another baby seal, was rude and not helpful you would go to a different shop in future.
All we want is to be treated the same. The same service, the same respect.

at 7pm the store finaly updates.
bravo, scee outdoing themselves once again.
and still that bloody range background that means you can barely read the text.
why not just stick a sign on the front page that says “we hate you all”
scrap all this pretense that the customer actually matters to scee.
not that anybody buys that pretense anyway.
that ship sailed a looooooooooooooong time ago.

… Yep, just what Smith knew. Most of them are from Midas Interactive and Disney. But hey, doesn’t matter since I’ve got a nice collection worth playing on my good ol’ PS2.
I bet there will be people asking for GTAIII and such so yeah get ready to hear some complaints Sony because your users will end up saying ”can you put ridge racer V on there and San Andreas” and such more. To me I find some of Midas’ games boring, I own some of them and some are just mediocre and some are okish while some are just rubbish.
Ok now let’s talk about the newest addiction of all, The PS2 Classics. To me I find the PS2 Classics a little disappointing since most games are released from Midas, SYSTEM 3 and Disney. Also the introduction PS2 Classics could of been really better if Sony’s gaming studios releases their games too such as WipEout Fusion and The Getaway, SEGA to release their Sonic titles and of course NAMCO BANDAI (Yes Namco, I’m talking about ya!) to release Tekken 4 for PS2 Classics.

CONTINUED FROM COMMENT #370
Overall, lil’ dissapointed with the PS2 lineup but you’ll never know there might be some decent PS2 games coming out. So yeah I don’t really care about PS2 Classics but I’ll just stick to my PS2 instead for PS2 classics. Smith’s opinion. Now go and enjoy your new content. Let’s hope Sony releases their own games later on.
PS: I really hope Blast! Entertainment doesn’t ruin the PS2 classics. Even though I don’t think they since Blast!’s games are movie based games and Sony will need to get permission from the movie companies to release them since Blast! had the rights to release movie based games.

Hey Jawad! Hows it goin?
Got a problem I hope you could sort out.
When i’m loading Malicious, seems all goes well, get through the the Loading Trophy Screen and such.. And then the screen goes black.
I get this Error Message: An error has occurred. (8002E500)
And then it goes on to say: You have not agreed to the End-User license Agreement.
You cannot play online.
I believe thats what it says, that last part only stays on the screen for 2 seconds.
You may have answered this already.. But you only have 14 replys right now, and theirs 8 pages, y’know what i’m sayin’? lol.

OK PSN i’m really not impressed. North America has had access to PS Vita downloadable games now for a week while the EU sees zip. This is another slap to our faces as North America is getting 32gb cards and the EU are not. Why are you focusing all you efforts on the rest of the world and leaving us last and giving us the smelly end of the stick.
The reason that this has really annoyed me is that North America PSN store is updated on the tuesday and the EU is on the Wednesday. This means that as i am only buying download games first i will be spending my first day owning a PS Vita downloading the games on to my PS3 and then installing them on the my 16gb card (since i couldn’t buy the 32gb card) whith is completely unfair on the EU. So is the PSN store in the EU going to be updated on the 21st or are you going to leave the EU playstation games out in the cold again downloading are content while staring at a unusable PS Vita. Great start people!!!

SSX on Tour is downloadable while my original PS2 disc still freezes in my PS3 95 % down the first slope racing Elise. Hmmm…
How about a fix for us with the original disc and a launch PS3?

Nice update. Any chance of seeing some imported PS2 classics in the future? It would be great to finally get the chance to play Front Mission 4! Cheers

If there’s one PS Classics Series you can try to bring back. It would be Klonoa by Namco, and with the ability to upload PS2 Games to PSN, Now would have to be the time.

I think 7.99 for PS2 classics, is too much. I think 3.99 is more respectable.
And i hope to see some PS2 superhero games. And Disney Cars 1.

Chances are, with Resi 6 coming out later this year they’ll wait till then to release them on the EU store for tying in with the release. It really sucks, but that is kinda the best time for them to do so.

Good to see the PS stuff, but seriously, the 2nd hand value for most of these is £2-£3 max, why the hell are they like £7.99? Answer cos Sony know they can get away with it.
SONY YOU NEED TO LISTEN WHAT WE WANT IS A DOWNLOADABLE PS2 EMULATOR SO WE CAN PLAY OUR OWN PS2 GAMES ON SLIM PS3′S. JESUS WE’D HAPPILY PAY FOR IT FOR NOT HAVING TO USE A 2ND CONSOLE.
Its nuts you can find emulators for a std home PC to run your legit PS2 disks but Sony are still stiffing us on the PS3. With the early PS3′s a lot were only software emulation anyway.
JUST GIVE US THE EMULATOR BACK YOU GREEDY JERKS!

I’m actually surprised Sony actually made a reply to a comment on page 5, thats a first they usually stop reading after page 1 as they have no reasonable answers.

Will there be any free PS2 games coming for Plus members? A monthly PS2 game would be really, really nice. Maybe in exchange for a monthly PS1 game?
