What an awesome Vita launch week. Gotten a bunch of games for it, but I have been stuck with playing Ridge Racer cause it’s so addictive. Gonna try and play some other games today.

We’re so glad to hear that. It seems unanimous: we have a fantastic addition to the PlayStation hardware family.

So are Sony and SoundSpectrum ready to make that deal to bring G-Force, WhiteCap and Aeon visualisations to the PS3 and Vita?
Posted on 25 February, 2012 at 4:52 pm by James Gallagher
I’ve not heard of anything on that front.

James u know the 3G model of vita once I get an sim card for it is it free or do u have to top up ever month ?
Posted on 25 February, 2012 at 4:55 pm by James Gallagher
You have to pay for your data according to the 3G service you are using. That’s not something we manage or control, just like we don’t with your broadband provider on PS3.

That’s a picture we have hanging in our office and I believe it was taken way back in the PS one days. I’ve always been fond of it so I took a snap and used it for my ‘games’ section of my PS vita home menu.

I’m aware of this problem since the PS3 browser was updated. It’s on the to do list as part of broader work to try and improve the blog experience on PS3.

I play as many as I can, but the blog does take up a lot of my time. At least with PS Vita I get to make the most of the bus ride to and from home from work.

James .. This ps3 browser is becoming very hard work now.. as DAVIE222 explained and i mentioned last week the ps-blog just signs us out now everytime we close it, also the predictice text box gets constantly cleaned.. meaning i have to retype my email addy as well..But what is/are all the redirect screens about, Something like ‘the security of this page (or site, not sure which.) can’t be confirmed, do you still want to connect’, this happens around 2to3 times every time you either refresh/change page, And can someone tell me if i am getting hacked,, as also i have seen a notice saying something like, ‘the certificate of this site(?) dosn’t match the hosts server’.. etc…. @James, you told me last week you would inform the tech guys, any info yet.?..

@James ..
About my previous post, i forgot to mention what it is that is bugging me the most regards all the above, its everytime you either post, change page, and even click on a comment in the latest readers comments box.. the page loads at the very top, most blogs aren’t to bad, but come store update, well tbh i am beginning to hate that blog.. i mean it takes an age to scroll through All the new content to get back to comments And replies, (on browser).. now once or even twice i can put up with, but sometimes i find myself scrolling down new content 10plus times, it is Very annoying, so am hoping something can be done regards this, anyway hope your enjoying your weekend,.

Hi James,
This is my first post, though I’ve been a Blog follower for a long while now.
Firstly, I have to say thanks to all the team there for the brilliant blog and store updates, they are much appreciated!
I do have a question though, I understand the PS2 Full Spectrum Warrior games have been released on the US store, so I was wondering if there’s currently any plans for them to hit the EU store?
These two games were hailed as classics of the time and still rank amongst my fave ever games today, would be great to be able to play them again.
Thanks.

James, I’m STILL waiting for the missing Jurassic Park code that I’ve paid for. Phone calls to customer services just get met with a promise to be called back, which has yet to happen, emails to them get a standard reply of “Oh I’m so sorry, phone us up so we can help” and the community message board is ignored, or they just say to ring customer services. It’s a premium rate number and I can’t keep on ringing them, I even emailed to ask for the non-premium number and all I got in reply was a reference number and “please call PlayStation Support on 0844 736 0595″.
I know it’s not anything to do with you, but can you please, please try and help me get somewhere with this? Give them a push until they pull their fingers out and get this sorted, I’ve been waiting for 11 weeks now. It’s gotten to the point where if I don’t get anywhere soon I’m going to have to put in a complaint with trading standards because this is really not on and incredibly frustrating. I really hope you can help somehow.

Hi James,
Just wondering if you know when the 32GB memory card fot vita will get release in europe? Really want a Vita but I am pretty sure 16GB will be too small with the all the decent psn titles on vita like motorstorm RC.

Hey James!
I’ve been trying to contact the Norwegian PS support and they don’t seem to be able to help me, but do you know why it is that suddenly after years of using a card on PSN, I can’t do it any more?
I’m wondering if there’s a limit for how many transactions you can have shortly after each other, because when I got the Vita I went on a buying spree and bought like 3 games pretty much instantly after each other, and then when I was trying to buy the fourth game (Modnation) I got an error message (I don’t remember it at the moment), and then when I tried to go to the PS3 and add funds there (and also I tried to buy Vita games through PS3) I got error.
So as a last solution I went to the Sony Entertainment Network webpage and logged in there and tried adding funds that way, and then it said the card wasn’t valid, yet it works on everything else except PSN….
So I guess you can’t help me, but do you know if there is a limit and if I have to wait a certain amount of time before I try again, or if the support has to allow me to use the card again?

@Mr Gallagher; PSN maintenance scheduled for this Thursday, it’s showing on the PS forum. Maybe worthwhile to put up a blog entry sooner than usual? Although complaints are inevitable, at least a supposed ‘lack of notice’ can (or might?) be avoided.

I know the PSV is great and all, but what about the ps3 ???? I am already sick of all the PSV stuff that is crammed down my throat . For the last 2 weeks we have seen almost nothing else ! We know the PSV is out ! Most of us here check the news every day on gaming and related stuff so please move this bombardment to the PSV site where it belongs .And it’s about time Sony starts to invest more in Europe content wise , because even after all this time has passed , we only have a fraction of the content of the U.S and that is costing Sony money .

another tip and trick. while the FB app has been removed from the ps store you can still access fb via the psvitas web browser. the best thing is you don’t have to keep logging in as those details are store on your Vita mem card so go to psvita web browser type in facebook.com and hey presto full working facebook logged in and ready to use. spread the word to others that have vita that you know are keen social networkers.
