Hi James,
I would like to make some requests for the Vita:
A comics store – which had been hinted at back when it was last updated on PSP.
Silent Hill PSP games – no better time to get them on the store with the upcoming releases of the HD collection, Downpour and Vita exclusive Book of Memories.
PSOne games – any idea when?
Thanks!

Hey James, I’m wondering if dynamic themes can be updated? If you look at their info under theme settings they have a version number and I’d love an update of the “Sackboy on the Run” theme that came out in the store when dynamic themes launched. I think it’s the best theme but it’s missing a lot of icons which happens to most themes and deters me from buying them.
A cool idea would to be able to mix and match themes, different backgrounds with different icons, etc. it’d improve the problem…

This might be somewhat off-topic but what has happened to the ps3.eu.playstation.com website? When I try to access it I get redirected to uk.playstation.com so it seems to have vanished. The regular website is just unreadable on my screen, even though it is 1080p.

When the PS3 browser was updated in a recent system software we had to make some changes to the site and are not quite done yet, but we’re close.

Also, please let us get rid of the Vita AR demo on the Android app as an option. I love the Vita, but I can’t use that app now because it needs too much internal memory.

Yes, this is true. We’ll post the full details for you later today.

Hey James,
Do you have any idea when the 32GB memory card is coming out for Vita in the UK? I want a Vita with the larger card as I will probably download a few games. Hopefully its out before Gravity Rush otherwise i’ll have to import one.
Posted on 5 March, 2012 at 10:09 am by James Gallagher
I’m afraid I don’t know.

cant believe game and gamestation wont be stocking new released ea games anymore so have to get mass effect 3 of amazon
14
Posted on 4 March, 2012 at 9:09 am by mikeyh86
@bashforking why is that?
15
Posted on 4 March, 2012 at 12:47 pm by Player42791
@mikeyh86
From the sounds of it they can’t afford to stock EA Games and won’t be after SSX.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-29-game-not-stocking-mass-effect-3-or-ea-games-past-ssx
Here’s a quote from the memo they sent to staff
“We committed to only stocking products on which we could get the right credit terms, regardless of the title or the supplier. We will not stock products if the terms are not right for our business – a position we believe is critical to our long term health as a business – we have taken the very difficult decision to not stock EA’s March releases, including Mass Effect 3.”

One has to wonder if those work who on the PS Store or the blog are actually gamers at all. It’s painfully apparent sometimes when game trailers are uploaded on the store 6 weeks after every website on the planet have shown them. The recent, or should I say “old” Resident Evil 6 announcement trailer is a perfect example. Surely Sony, one of the co publishers on EVERY game released on the PS3, should be leading the way with trailers etc….for their own platform, not falling behind.
So in a couple of days we have, perhaps, the largest cross-platform game of the year. Mass Effect 3. But Sony, as usual, act as though they’ve never heard of it. Not a single trailer. No interviews. No documentaries. No dynamic themes (if I see one more beach theme…on a game console…I’ll scream), and not even a wallpaper. What are you waiting for? Another 6 weeks to pass by?
You must be pleased Microsoft help you out by publishing everything you fail to notice.

@player i think its the same with mario party 9 aswell. I did pre order my mass effect of gameplay.com then gamestation took over them and they canceled my order

Are the Jak & Daxter games going to be sold individually at PSN? i havent played the 3rd game in the series and would buy that one, i had the 2 first games on ps2 but id rather not play them again as they are way too long to complete. I really hope like with most of the big franchises that they will be sold seperately through PSn like the SLY collection did
Posted on 5 March, 2012 at 11:03 am by James Gallagher
They’re available individually right now – just head to the latest PS3 games section of PS Store.

14 hours of downtime and no new firmware update for PS3 or VITA! James when will we expect to see new firmware for the VITA to add new features? Hopefully sometime this week, before the store updates on Wednesday the 7th

If you’re going to have “scheduled” downtime, could you at least post something on the blog, or twitter? Is slightly annoying when your first port of call for all things Playstation related is the blog and yet you have to spend half an hour searching the web to find what you were looking for in Forum > English Forums > Tech Support > Tech Help.

The last 4 links (Colonial Marines interview onwards) all give errors.
They give a security cerificate error followed by a login page for “SCEE information system”.
