LittleBigPlanet Karting Coming To PS3!

Looks like it will be definetly awesome!, And a must buy!, Would had been great if you managed to make a Vita version aswell wich was compatible with eachother!

I really hope that we can construct vehicles/machines from scratch.
When I say “from scratch” I mean that every component is cut/shaped from various materials, and the all of the bolts/connectors/motors/logic are wired together by me, just like in Little Big Planet 1&2.

I want to create my own (fully functional) transforming vehicles and race them with my friends.

If so, then I will pre-order the ultimate/collectors edition of the game as soon as it’s available, and advise all of my LBP & MNR friends to do the same.

james i seen some clever levels with home made snow & rain & in lbp2 its just got fog & day & night please add a weather dlc pack so we can control weather in lbp2 such as a light shower or a full on storm or a gentle snow fall or a full on blizard & then people could add weather in there levels and make them more atmospheric & even more exiting with the gr8 tools that are in lbp2 i know we had a winter & spring pack but if you add weather tools to it it will really make it awsome. rain storms showers snow blizzards hail i hope you like my idea james

Hi, again, but will you be able to copy others tracks? If yes, please make it so you can’t copy them, I could see a bunch of junk tracks infesting the LBPK community, please don’t let LBPK face the same fate of LBP & LBP2 of being infested with a bunch of bad copied levels(in this case tracks). Great come out! i know MM and UFG will not disappoint me on this one, as a good gamer i have lbp1/2 and soon to have the vita version, but im not really too familiar with the Modnation Racers bcs of lack of money even though this really attracted to it, although this just seems fantastic, i do miss the Crash team racing/mario kart (old ones)so im pretty sure that just like modnation it will be a really nice title im surely going to buy

but i do have a question, you will be able to change your character looks, not only with costumes but stickers? as in, i love alot of my costumes but im a fan of putting everything on white with stickers, so i would like to know if i will be able to sticker my sackboy/girl and also the car and its contents too, as i think modnations racers could, if this is true, then i will buy the game as soon as it comes out!

There is a demo of modnation Racers on LBP2 that you can download.
The controls are hard to me. Hopefully you can set custume controls for you still of raceing.
Anyway, I think I all ready know how to create, play, and share.
I’m pretty good at makeing prodictions, for example in 2011 around fall I predicted that the next LBP would have a 3D map thing, then this tralier comes out. 8D If I know LBP you WILL have all your costumes, stickers, tools, ect. transfered form LBP1 & LBP2.

Liking the look of this Sony may finally have its mario kart, I like the sack boy character never like the lbp games glad it ufg making it media molecule is such a boring name for a company it makes there games sound boring.

no psvita version no sale. i’m sorry but i see a game like this and think that would be amazing on vita aswell as ps3 and would have so much potential. So on that note, its a no buy for me i’m afraid its a shame really cause i saw the trailer and thought, yeah that will be alot of fun but as you arn’t developing it for my platform of choice i feel let down by Mm and UFG especially after lack of modnation mp on vita and the terrible decisions Mm made on getting the LBP2 special editions out in europe.Now their new projects cant incorperate and new Sony platform either. Bad times

Sony is pushing this upcoming, potentially game changing game pretty hard, and it would make sense to invest in a level kit like that.

I have a few questions about LBPK.
1.Will there be a create mode for Karting and for regular LBP levels or just Karting levels?
2.Will you be able to use Community objets and My Objects in your Popit in create mode?
3.I saw that in the Trailer it used the Skeleton heads as used in LBP so my question is will you be able to use story objects that are in LBP1 & LBP2 in LBPK?
4.Can you inform us of the release Date soon? My birthday is coming up and I want to put some money aside for it soon.
5.Will you be able to Decorate and Create your own Karts or will all of that be on a template?
6.Will there be a LBP3 and if so will it be coming soon?
7.Will there be a story mode?

Was never that interested in modnation racers, but i have always loved karting games with friends. Add that to an undying love for all things sackboy and you have my attention! I CANNOT WAIT for this game. I hope they set a summer release date! The sooner the better!

mm4401, I think there will be additions to the carts and costumes, and probably Da Vinci, Victoria, etc., they probably will not, but would be more interesting story, and new adventures for us)
In my opinion, the creation of maps will be:
First you take a fashion (that is what it is: flying, monster truck, or plain),then the board doing the normal for you body, then the wheels, and then what happens
I think so, but I’m sure the creation of maps will be much more fun!)

This game looks worth the money to me, ill be sure to preorder. I just hope the creation system works just like LBP1&2, the modnation track maker didnt really cut it for me with the premade objects. But anyways you 100% got of my birth day money this year.
P.S. Would you consider yourselfs partners with Media Molecule.

Another 2 questions from me, is the costume makeing the same as LBP, Mod Nation racers, or mixed together. And also ( reply if im kinda right or not ) dose the creation system for objects for your tracks the same as lbp1&2 just once your finished making it you pan and turn it to the position you want it?

Smart move Sony, make a new karting game under LBP because everybody loves that rather than fixing a few very simple things in MNR which would make it ten times better.
I like LBP and love MNR but this looks … well crap IMO. Sackboy and his world onl works well in 2D and in 3D it looks really cheap. I’m sorry but when I create tracks I want to be racing in semi realistic places like in MNR. Not around a frikkin fabric shop..
Modnation racers had Its unique art style and you could create your kart, mod and track. In this you drive in a cardboard box with sponge wheels with a sackboy with about 5 different outfits around a bland track. Yes this game is much simpler and easier for the disabled but I guess if it gets you the sales then so be it.

I could rant on but I honestly CBA as you probably won’t reply.

Question, How many people can race at once? And how do you suppose you’ll get enough people to actually race that track you made?

@lop330, how can you posibly already start hating on the game when all youve seeen is its teaser trailer. You get all the costumes from lbp1&2 you can mix and match parts from everything you unlock in-game, its to much to talk about so ill just sum it all up in a way even YOU could understand, its modnation racers just will new kart peaces and an entirly new creation system and a bunch of power ups and weapons giving it more of a mario kart feel than modnation racers and it attracts to all players unlike modnation whos trophys were too hard to acheave for the younger players, so in conclusion its a little to late to fix mod nation and this just seems fun.

Ideas:
-Transfer our costumes and stickers from lbp
-Racer Hub (Functions as a “Modspot”, like in Modnation Racers.
-Allow chat where possible (Race startup,Racer Hub, etc.)
-Don’t restrict us to simple cars (Maybe Motorcycles, Be creative! Give every vehicle type different models, or let us create our own)
-Race Spectating
-Let us walk around! The racing isn’t restricted to left and right, why should we be? Use this in our pods, the racer hub, even.

Take examples from MNR.

I don’t see how this will be different from MNR, for it to receive the LBP title i hope that we can build everything from scracth just like LBP, instead it looks like MNR but with LBP characters,i saw it in a picture where u would chose the body part of your car just like MNR if the game is anything like that i wont be willing to play this game. ”…Along with fan favorite racing and battle modes, players will be able to modify the rules of the game itself to create completely new modes and challenges.
