Welcome, welcome! What a bright, sunny week it’s been in the UK. I hope some of you have been making the most of it.
Another somewhat quiet week (now, now, this is an excuse to catch some sun) but I’m sure there’s some new additions to hold the interest of a few of you. The big retail release this week also seeing a release on the Store (on Friday) goes to EA with their release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2013.
A few additions to the Neo Geo range have been added, including The King of Fighters ’96, which I know from previous weeks has been asked about quite often.
Oh, I almost missed Arc the Lad II. Given the hype surrounding the first title I’m only certain a lot of gamers were itching for the next game. Well, here it is!
Battlefield 3 DLC has dropped. Yesterday, in fact! The new DLC allows those with a little less time to unlock some of the bonuses the easy way.
I should also mention Modern Warfare 3 Elite Drop 3 will happen tomorrow so keep an eye out for that if you are an Elite member.
Other notable DLC that you may care for is an extra episode for that there crazy game Asura’s Wrath. This is an extra episode with a more traditional animé look and the same level of madness.
Don’t forget to check out the Spring Sale to see what kind of savings are to be had, and also, Ross will have a PlayStation Plus post up shortly, too.
And that’s it for this week.
Until we meet again…

Hi Jawad
Please answer both questions
Any updates on Crash Bash? How far are we along with it?
We were supposed to get it late last year according to Ross so what’s the hold up?
Also when is Ross publishing the PSplus update on the blog, can you give me an approximate time and day please?
Thanks

For those asking for the PS Plus content list for next week, we’ve been working on it all day but are not quite ready to hit this afternoon. Look out for it around tomorrow lunchtime.

Hi Jawad,
I always look forward to great stuff on the PS Store, especially for PS Plus subscribers.
I have a query though: Will other games by Telltale Games be made available on the PlayStation Store in the future?
Will the following be made available:
The Bone Series (Out of Boneville & The Great Cow Race)
Sam & Max Save the World (i.e. Season 1)
Hector: Badge of Carnage (especially this one!)
Law & Order: Legacies
If you could let me know as soon as you can, it would be greatly appreciated.

Not heard about any of those coming over so for now, that’ll be a no unfortunately.

Any update on psn+ this month or any idea when the next wave of vita games are due as nothing on the release lists any time soon?
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:34 pm by Jawad Ashraf
PS Plus update is incoming – Ross will have a post up on this separately.
As for Vita, it has been quiet and will be for a little more. Don’t worry, there’s definitely more content coming but for the mean time it’ll be in small doses.

great update! is there any chance we will ever see hyperdimension neptunia avatars ?
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:35 pm by Jawad Ashraf
NIS have submitted avatars previously but I’m not aware on if they are for Neptunia. You may see some but as you know, avatars are released a lot slower than other content. We only just saw a Disgaea avatar creep out last week so hopefully loads more will come soon.

You may or may not know this, but i’ll ask anyway.
Are there any plans to implement PS1 game support for the Vita? Also for plus members (like myself) are there plans to sort out the fact that you can’t use any mini game downloaded from PS plus.
Finally on the subject of PS Plus are there any plans to have any discounts/offers for people with a Playstation vita?
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:37 pm by Jawad Ashraf
I can’t really comment on any of them other than to say we are aware of those requests, issues and desires.

This is a message for you who want FFVII: Crisis Core and games like Chrono Cross ps1-import on the store.
Do like me, everytime there is a Final Fantasy related post on the european SquareEnix blog, post a comment that you want this to happen.
I have done this several times but I’ve gotten no answer, but I think if we stick together we can make it happen
So google “square enix members eu”, make an account, and bring awesome games like Chrono Cross to the store!

And this is how you make your voice heard. But don’t go too crazy!

You never mention Access in Videos anymore for some reason.
Is there any news you can share on Tekken 3?
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:41 pm by Jawad Ashraf
I have been made aware of it recently as I put this together so Access and the other odd bits may suddenly appear as an update in the post later on.
Tekken 3 is at the moment looking impossible. If you recall the character Gon. He rightfully belongs to another company and not namco, so this would made the game difficult to re-release.

Why didn’t we get the Resistance: Burning Skies AR app for PS Vita?!
The US got it last night…
Was looking forward to it as well.

We will get the same content like the Usa?

Gotta say, loving the new, ayout, well presented and spaced out, keep it up.
Anyway I heard from PS access that new episodes of Playstation Access will be on the vita store starting today, is that still the case?

I’ve not been told about this but let’s hope so.

hi
can you tell us what vita content we can expect over the next few weeks?
And yes, ive finished the launch content that interested me.
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:52 pm by Jawad Ashraf
I’ve only seen a brief schedule but it’s fairly quiet with a smattering of content. I’ll try and get a more solid list of upcoming stuff to share if I can but this is usually difficult!

Shocking the amount of new content/firmwares that have been released for PS Vita since its release!
Sony have let the hype die down for PS Vita already!
Throw us a bone Sony..

Why is the MotorStorm RC dlc Pro AM pack full price for Plus members?
2 weeks ago when it launched, it was half price for Plus and on the description it stated it would be at that price until 04/04/12?

Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 1:46 pm by Carnivius_Prime
Shock Troopers is excellent in my opinion the best 2 player shooting game on Neo Geo (was never a big fan of the clumsy Metal Slug games) but I already bought it on the US store back in September so nothing for me today. I’m halfway through Sly 2 though so I’ve got plenty to do

This update is kinda weak. There’s not much I want. :/
Are there any news about more NIS avatars? Or was that one Disgaea avatar last week just a cruel, cruel error?
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:53 pm by Jawad Ashraf
Avatars have a slower release but yes, there will be more. When, though is a question I don’t have an answer to.

WRECKED!
You REALLY need to shout more about Wrecked! I have been waiting AGES for this game! And without fanfare, THERE IT IS!
I love Mashed and have been waiting for soooooooooooo long for this… I even thought it was cancelled!
Poor update I first thought but all we need is Wrecked!
I hope now I have hyped it, it will be good… but if it is anything like Mashed (and it looks to be) then it will be awesome!
Also, while I’m here: where, oh where, is the Vita content? Starting to feel like there will never be new games for it… at least use that stick you have to beat the people who will be able to enable PS3 games on remote play… and PS1 games! My PSP could do it so Vita should be more than capable!
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:57 pm by Jawad Ashraf
As mentioned all the way above in other responses, Vita content is a slow roll-out but I will try and get an upcoming list of sorts to share IF I can (do not hold your breath!)

Now it is a platinum game, so 60€ is a wrong price.

how on earth do you consider bf3 unlocks, as dlc?
they do not add anything, or do add anything through Downloadable Content, dlc for short. They are unlocks! you pay to unlock content, not download! its already there! yes?

games like Barbie horse adventure and shovelware. is this what you want the PS2 to be remembered for ?

nothing for me this week
but good update none the less! Just a quick question, if I subscribe to PS+ and buy discounted titles, are they available after my subscription runs out? I know that free games are only playable with a valid subscription but was wondering about offers, thanks in advance!

Jawad,
Any chance you could get the BBC to do some Doctor Who avatars for the release of The Eternity Clock next month? Would love a few to use for display!
Do you have a date for that game? I realise it has been delayed till next month (hence the no-show today), but no firm date was provided.
Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 2:58 pm by Jawad Ashraf
Nothing to share at the moment. I expect the publisher will make a date soon.

Posted on 28 March, 2012 at 1:58 pm by toddhunter
Thanks for the update.
Are there any plans to revise pricing for the Australian region? I refer to examples such as Plus which it is marked up heavily (to give discounts on heavily marked up games), and the example today of Tiger Woods being $109 when even at the biggest pricing retailer EB Games it is currently $98 for the masters collectors edition.
My PSN plus subscription is up at the start of April, and it wouldn’t be right if I keep complaining but yet do nothing about it. If there are no plans and that is just the way it is then fine, I’ll move on. But if you want to keep a customer can you please provide some assurance?

i have been told that Wheels of Destruction have been moved for 4th of april why is it on here then ?
I qoute my mail from 3 days ago.
The gasoline fueled battles of Wheels of Destruction will be delayed until April 4th 2012. For all players who cannot wait to get into the fierce driving action, we have compiled all trailers available to this date for your viewing pleasure.

Sadly this was a slight oversight and I apologise for this. The game will be out on 4 April.

Cheeky!
Hello again – are you seriously going to ask Ross (on a Plus blog page) about Crash Bash? He isn’t responsible for the store anymore (largely because he provided an answer to a single epic question each week, without fail!), so why ask him?

Hello Jawad! I’m back for another round.
Part 1:
1. You May Like
If a new sidebar that would feature actual related content cannot be implemented as a quick fix, I’ll have to hope it finds its way into the next few firmware updates or something.
2. Sorting *NEW*
I’m sure this has been already mentioned a lot in regards to the Downloads List. A sorting feature would be very much appreciated. It could be mapped to the triangle button. In normal sections of the Store, content is already sorted either alphabetically (A-Z) or chronologically (newest to oldest). Pressing triangle would give the choice of A-Z, Z-A, New-Old, Old-New and Original. In the Downloads List, content is sorted only in the New-Old fashion. People have been demanding to have the ability to sort content according to its kind: Full Games & Unlocks, Demos & Trials, Add-On Packs, Themes & Wallpapers & Avatars, and Videos & Music. This could be mapped to triangle which could also offer the other forms of sorting. Additionally, the square button could be used to switch between content for PS3, PSP, Vita, and all. Or it could all be mapped to triangle. I’m pretty sure this would require a firmware update, right?

How come Skandinavien and Poland don’t get NISA content anymore?
I really want to know that, because it kinda make me angry, that I can’t buy NISA avatar (the one that is out), because I live in Denmark.
While my PSN friends from Germany can.

I will chase the publisher and find out why.
