‘Heads-Up’ Game Store Update 16 May 2012

SCEE’s approach to the Vita is beyond negligent. Like the PSPgo, you’re pricing it into the ground. I’ve downloaded few games via PSN because they’re priced too high and I pick them up for (usually) much less at retail.

Disgaea 3 is 55 bucks via PSN and most retailers are selling it for 44 or less. I thought the idea was for digital releases to be cheaper?

Ah well, another failed Sony portable is inevitable with you clowns in the driving seat.

Why is the PS Vita still being so neglected compared to the ps3.. Please bring us the youtube app and bring out more games than one game every two months but the thing I hate most is that we don’t have a Playstation Video Store here in the Netherlands..

I would like to know where the NZ prices are on your store updates, they seem to have fallen off the posts lately. We don’t use pounds, euros or Australian dollars. So shouldn’t our currency be listed on the updates so us New Zealanders can see what price to expect like everyone else before we go logging in, get home from work etc?

I would be very surprised if we shared the Australian price what with the horrible currency exchange and all.

And where’s Pinball Arcade? I own 2 PS3′s and over 200 PS3 games, but now I am seriously considering buying an Xbox instead because I’m starting to lose patience at that SCEE does not seem to care about us European players.

hi got a problem there seems to be a misprice on resident evil code veronica and resident evil 4 as each are £14 yet to buy the pair together its £16.99 any word on if the price of each seperate game will be reduced and the difference refunded?

I still think we need a Spyro PS1 Classics Collection here in EU.

I would buy that in an instant.

Will we ever see the Die Hard Trilogy in the PsOne classics section?

Also Max Payne 2 for the PS2 classics would be sweet

- No Vita game
- No new game for PS+
- Exhorbitant prices for the Apocalyse “sale”. And $6.95 for 1 pixeljunk game while the US pays $1? Sometimes I really wonder who makes those decisions.

I’d just like to say kudos for adding Deus Ex to the store. It’s my all-time favourite and I highly recommend it to everyone. This game has a great story, lots of depth and with the branching decisions you have to make it has loads of replay value. BTW I second the notion of bringing Okami to the store too.

Jawad mate, wasn’s Datura supposed to have 20% discount for two weeks for Plus members? Cause i was gonna buy it and the discount seems to be gone.

Truly Jawad in last week’s update you said datura was 20% off for two weeks for plus, and now it’s gone. As a plus member im very disapointed as I was gonna buy it this week along with some pixeljunk games, but now i don’t think so.

Unless i’m totally blind and the search function on the Store doesnt work, the Max Payne 3 Gorilla Warfare Pack isnt on the French Store. Its just not there, everything else is so the Store was updated, but no MP3 DLC.

clearly buying a vita was a massive waste of money because apparently sony isnt even bothering to release content for it. no demos, no full games, no apps, no pricedrops. sod all….

I’m in the same boat as mcaibuq2, I was working away last week so I didn’t have the chance to buy the game with the discount. I know the information on this official blog is unreliable at the best of times, but is there any chance it will actually be discounted for the second week so I can buy it? It does seem quite interesting.

also can we please please please have a better folder system on the PS3? i’ve got 279 PS3 games & its hard to trawl through them. even if you could organise by title it would be a big improvement.
ideally they’d be split into
full games
demos
trails
PS+ games (I.E. those that are only free whilst still paying for PS+)

You can set up your own folders. I’ve done that. I have one for Full Games, Demos, PSN, PS2 Classics and PS1 Classics

I don’t understand how sonic is not available on the vita when the HD version is out on the iPhone!!??
Pluss the ios HD version sells for £2.99 – versus the 9.99 Sony is asking for.

Are you even trying to remain competitive?
Do you even care about the vita or has it been forgotten about already.

How come apple get games like this launched on a phone and yet the entertainment giant Sony can’t even get anything half as good on a dedicated gaming device. Really doesn’t send out a good message.

Just having any kind of answer is much better then the uncertainty. I really adore my Vita dispite the lack of ps updates lately but i was able to buy some really great rpgs off the store to last me until the content improves.

It would be great if you can keep us posted on psp support as you mentioned earlier.

We all just have to believe im Scee, they know they need to overhaul the company and i think gamers needs will be a good part of that and we just have to be patient.

Keep up the great work, the Vita is just amazing too.

I’m a PS Plus subscriber from Bulgaria but when I browse for any updated content in the store, most of the freebies are missing – Ricochet HD, Rock of ages, Frogger Returns etc.

So I pay for PS Plus subscription and get nothing… just watching how other people in the EU store download content for free.

Why was created this store when it is empty?

Jawad: So is the Friday date only for France? Also, i dont have MP3 yet (just wanted to grab the DLC in advance), but i see over on the French section of the EU PS Blog, someone (from Belgium apparently) is saying that the Gorilla mask is already in the multiplayer equipment list, and he’s wondering if it wasnt just included in the patch. Know anything about that? Like i said, i cant check myself.

So the US PS+ customers get a new release PSN game for free as a mid month treat and Europe ANZ gets nothing. Clearly it would make sense to offer something equivalent, would it not? Why should I be paying twice the US amount for Plus and only get half the service.

And yes I am still waiting for my replacement games for the months when you offered Lead and Gold, and also Soul Reaver (they were not released here in NZ). What has it been now? 18 months or more??

Would LOVE to see some Vita momentum. Why no PS1/2 back catalogue? Where is the Pinball Arcade and DLC? It’s been out a month in the US. Still nothing. I thought you guys would be mad for games which leverage PS3 & Vita crossovers. While we’re at it, where is the remote play that you promised us at launch?
You know the one that actually works, that lets us stream our PS3 to our Vitas over Wi-Fi? I want to leave my house and play my PS3. Make it do the things we know it can, this is the kind of stuff that will make Vita compelling. I want to use it for more than PSP gaming, I really do, it’s you guys that are keeping it from happening.

the SEN Store still says the MaxPayne 3 DLC is still £1.19 to buy…can you fix this as i dont want to be charged for something that should be free and you are saying it is resolved?

ok i bought sonic episode 2 & own sonic episode 1 so where the hell is the bouns metal sonic episode don’t say it in the game i just look.

there single player mutilplayer & options. No extras.

What do You mean by “nope”?! The question was if we would “ever” see Die Hard Trilogy added to the PSOne Classics section. Are You saying that Fox or whoever owns the publishing rights told Sony that there is no chance at all of this game being re-released?

I hope You actually meant to say that Die Hard Trilogy is not among the games currently considered for emulation.

After playing, return to the main menu then load the game. You will then begin to play as Metal Sonic. What sucks about it is Episode Metal has crappy psychics like Episode 1 and there are only 4 levels to play on.

Having Die Hard Trilogy would be impossible to have on PSN since FOX Interactive is now considered defunct and so are Probe but no sure who owns Acclaim and Probe now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_Interactive

Please make the “Latest” in the VITA PS STORE display the LATES, and not everything from A-Z Thank you.

Also, the amount of stuff on the vita is to low.

Still not getting the Disgaea 4 DLCs? Did some reading on the NIS forums, seems that there was a similar incident whit the Netherlands PSN store, and then it was that scee in their infinite wisdom (read that as stupidity) demands support documents in native language of stores, What those suport documents are for, not us users, as we do not see them… scee quit this stupidity, most of Europe know English..

Next point, when will the following PSP games be avavible on the Store? The ones whit (VITA) is not vita compatible.

The issue of Plus discounts disappearing before the announced date has happened before, I’ve seen it happen at least twice before. I remember it happening with one of the House of the Dead games.

Those surprises are quite unpleasant.

@Klart Indeed its quite unpleasant as it seems they can just make us believe they’ll have discounts for two weeks (and it’s even written on last weeks update) and then they’ll just screw us and finish it a week early without any heads up or anything. But as Jawad said he’s looking into it and i’ll trust he’ll find a way to fix this.

can we have battlefield 2 and driver los angelas for free that would be awswome we already had need for speed 2 shift unleashed
