With regards to Walking Dead Episode 2, to be fair it was mentioned upon release to expect Episode 2, either the last week of May or the first week in June! It was listed as a release within the US store yesterday but taken down, so I expect it will release next week!
Andy has already stated that nothing can be mentioned about the SALE items due to an Embargo, so stop being pig-headed peeps! Google Embargo if you don’t understand
With regards to Avatars…..Whinging & moaning about them…..REALLY?? It’s a picture!
Just the free vehicle for Motorstorm RC for me, unless the SALE items are decent.
A member could post a list of the SALE items you know!

Going to have to echo the other comments regarding Resistance: Burning Skies, and the missed out NicoDouga software for the Vita in Europe. I was prepared to be more frustrated about the Gravity Rush demo coming out on Friday for the United Kingdom, however thankfully that has been rectified.
The Vita is a hugely impressive device in terms of technological specifications, however once again we are being shafted due to region location. I own every Resistance game for PS3, and whilst I don’t care too much about the recent mixed scores the Vita title is receiving, the mark up price for the digital version compared to the US, and the lack of a demo even though one is available is unacceptable. The Amazon.co.uk price for the title has been bumped up to £45 as a result, who’s going to buy that?!
I don’t understand, do you want to generate more sales of this device, or are you more interested in annoying existing owners? This is becoming more rocky than the launch of the PS3, there appears to be disappointment after disappointment. Please SCEE, match what other regions can do on time. I know the longer requirements of Q&A pay a factor, but a difference in scheduling can make the difference between better or worse sales.

Hmmmmm…..the price of Resistance seems to be way off and there is no 10% discount. £30 in store with resale value or £40 on PSN with no resale value.
You guys really do live in your own bubble lol. This is why I refuse to go all digital right now.
Still, looking forward to what E3 brings us.

Everytime I put a link for the announcement of Tombi/Tomba it get’s moderated & deleted
Tombi/Tomba PS1 Classic will release within the next 2 months, within the US anyway! If it sells well, then Monkey Paw will attain the license for the sequel
I know PS1 Classics are dated now but I would like to see Doom, Final Doom, Duke Nukem, Quake 2, Descent, Forsaken, Die Hard Trilogy 1&2, Ape Escape, Parappa The Rapper to name a few!

+1 for Spyro Classics.
+1 for Tombi.
Also for the people asking about Ape Escape have they considered the PSP port? Think it’s called “Ape Escape P” in UK.

Hi Jawad
Any idea when Closure will be released over here, been out for ages in the US?

@ Hustle_X
I was the only one that mentioned Ape Escape
LOL
I don’t own a PSP so i’ve never considered it that way, but I still own my physical retail PS1 copy! I was just asking in general!

I too am getting a little more than fed up waiting for Pinbalk Arcade.
Myself and a few mates have all been looking forward to it for ages, and check every Wednesday to see if it’s available here yet.
One of my mates has already given up and got for his iPhone instead.
I downloaded the special free offer this month on my iPad and am considering just buying more tables for that and forgetting about the PSN version. Primarily I was looking forward to playing this on my Vita, but frankly, after feeling like I’m being messed about by SCEE, maybe I would be better off getting the iPad version, and enjoy it on the bigger screen… I’ve no idea how much extra tables will cost on PSN, maybe these will work out cheaper on iOS too?
If there could just be some official post suggesting a release date, and why on Earth it’s taking so long, it would help.
As for Resistance BS, I’d assumed from the start that the digital price would be ridiculous, so preordered the physical version ages ago at <£30. Shame though, I'd always rather have digital versions of games, but they really should be cheaper than physical, not £10 more!

Had a go with Mad Riders. Looks and feels surprisingly good. For 10€ I think you have yourself a deal. Nothing else this week since Walking Dead episode 2 is delayed.
Me too would want to know if Closure will get an european release at all.

Agree with 100. Australia and New Zealand are getting RIPPED OFF! I’m so glad I buy all my games from the US PSN store, their Ultimate Edition sale is awesome, made a big purchase from there. I’d never expect to see a sale like that on any European PSN store, in fact I haven’t in years.

Yet another thing Sony needs to learn from Apple: PRICING.
Its turning out to be cheaper to import games from another region.
You sell far more copies if portable games were charged as such. People don’t value them the same as a console / pc title and therefore are less inclined to pay.
Combine this with obviously jacked up prices compared to the US (ever heard of xe.com sony?)

STILL no Pinball Arcade Classics for the Vita and heck, still no t@g app when advertised last time and other free apps for the Vita? Seriously Sony I’m and also we getting sick and tired of this.
No true PS1 classics, no true PS2 classics, overpriced games while US gets it cheap and too many delays for Europe. One day Xbox 360 could become the best selling console of all time if Sony Europe doesn’t do their job right. PS3 did strong in Europe and might not be soon if this keeps up. Way to go Sony for screwing up Europe…AGAIN!

Like others, I’m fed up waiting for a PS Plus update, and I am more than a little alarmed to hear that the service is being changed.
Having said that, if the rumoured new levels of subscription make it seem like a worse deal, then I suppose my only reason for checking this blog will evaporate along with my subscription… and that isn’t actually a bad thing.
I hate having to come here for subscription related updates which really should be delivered via the console itself.

Why is Resistance $36 on US store and £40 here, $36 is about £23. So we getting charge double the US rice almost. THen for some reason the file size in EU is significantly bigger and Vita memory card prices are a joke for the little space you get on them.
Do you wonder why the Vita is tanking at retail? People are not mugs, you try to treat us like mugs though.
…this is why I and most people will not buy a Vita.

Im getting tired of this PSVita crap. First they throw us a bunch of ports to the console to make us happy until after E3. Second, the first FPS exclusive to the Vita comes out and looks like crap, from what ive seen from the reviews. Third, you wont even let us try it for ourselves (Except for the US, because they are so special) and you raise the price and memory for us! How awesome!
I will be buying gravity rush because they do deserve it, but once I conclude that the only games coming out this year are LBP, COD and ports, ill be selling my vita.

actually people aren’t wrong by questioning Jawad in regards to the offers this week – he infers information on the offers (re specific items on sale) will be able in Andy’s post – they weren’t – what Jawad should have stated is to visit the playstation store to see what offers are available
also wanting to state people need to google embargo – embargo does not infer or mean kept secret – it references the availability (the prohibition of goods (such as an arms embargo) therefore by not stating what will be on offer – if the term embargo is too be applicable means that offers will vary by store- meaning not all areas in Europe will see the same offers
so by refusing to state on a blog people use in relation to information on playstation goods – is a means to prohibit any customer backlash in regards to availability of items within the same PAL region…so by stating people need to google embargo I think someone needs to first understand what embargo actually means – being secretive is not an embargo

Reason why is the british tax is at 20% and prices are more expensive in uk than america even if resistnace burning skies was only £30 or £35 on the store it still will be more expensive, but we will say we have saved £5 or so.

Could someone on the PSN team please address the issue of why games are actually priced higher in the digital store than hard copies (This week’s offenders are Resistance: Burning Skies & Prototype)? This really comes across as greedy and perhaps if the reasoning behind your business conduct was explained clearly then I would feel less ripped off every week. When the PSN started to release fully fledged disc games we were promised that prices would be cheaper. This has not come to fruition.

is there anyone home……
erm, was going to ask why,why and why Again, But reading the comments i feel i couldn’t possibly add or contribute any more to whats being asked, explained and rated as ‘disgusting’, .. by most everyone who has any intelligence and sense of justice/fair-play atleast.
One question i would like to ask though, with the INFAMOUS2 game now costing about 3quid in US.. messin, i ‘think’ it’ll work out around £12(ish), (for the plus subbers), will/can us mere UK/EU folk expect a more realistic price anytime soon, as atm it’s £49.99, i would be hoping for it to ‘maybe’ be in this secret E3 sale, But IF it is i will probably just end up disappointed (Again), i mean we, well you.. (scee) are never going to come close to matching ‘those’ kind of deals. just wish there was a (official) sceuk, as most prob it would be better than the present system. (for us brits, i mean).

It’s got to be said time and time again, pricing is just way to high on full DD games. These games can found way cheaper on disc format at various online retailers. You’re making the digital download market seem like a joke in comparison. £50 is not what people usually pay for games.

£50 for Prototype 2 when it’s £20 at most places in the UK?
£40 for Resistance?
You’re having a laugh.
Absolutely pathetic.

for everyone complaining about pricing for EU versions of games, you can open a US PSN account and buy the games from there. That’s what I do. I live in Germany and have DE, UK, UK and JP accounts. Once you need to buy something, you can do it via the BestBuy page http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+Computer+Entertainment+America+-+PlayStation+Network+Code+for+PlayStation+3+and+PSP+(%2420)+(Downloadable+Content)/1383039.p?id=1218267360139&skuId=1383039&st=Downloadable%20Content&cp=1&lp=1 that link will take you to the ordering page. Once there pay with your EU credit card, as billing address put what ever address fakenamegenerator.com comes up with.
