Attention all Sackboy and racing fans, we’ve got a ton of good news for you!
Firstly, we’re really excited to announce today that LittleBigPlanet Karting will be available at retail across Europe from Wednesday 7th November and on Friday 9th November in the UK and Ireland!
We’re also very excited to announce that for those of you that get all pre-ordery, you will be able to download the exclusive Game Maker Pack as a pre-order bonus!
Dress Sackboy up as a racing car driver, as a mascot of developer United Front Games or as legendary PlayStation VP Kevin Butler. Then shatter the lap times in a racing car kart, arcade machine kart or executive golf buggy kart. Availability will vary by retailer and locale.
Also available from 7th November will be the LittleBigPlanet Karting Special Edition. This limited edition version will be packaged with a lovely lenticular 3D cover. Keep your eyes peeled for more information on the exclusive content coming in this version of the game later this month.
In the meantime, to sweeten the wait and to get you in the competitive mood, we have a special treat for you. Just in time for the summer games, here’s a brand-new trailer showing off the athletic (and automotive) prowess of our beloved sackfolk.
In LittleBigPlanet Karting, get behind the steering wheel and get ready to race through fun-filled tracks, discover unlockables in 3D environments and battle in karting arenas filled with pick-up items and weaponry, all in a whimsical open world that’s unmistakably LittleBigPlanet. Players can also sculpt their own unique racing experience using the in-game editor to customise tracks, karts, weapons and Sackboy costumes, then download designs built by players around the world so your race never has to end!

Such a letdown that it isn’t for Vita

A definetly buy, but, yes a shame it’s not on Vita, but I guess they still got not online into the Modnations racers, they will not manage it to LBP Karting anyway, those games is made for online!

This is the first little big planet game I’m simply not bothered about which is a shame as I am a massive fan of the series. Personally I am far more interested in LBP Vita. However the Kevin Butler Sackboy is awesome!

This game supports stereoscopic 3D right? It appears to be absent from the box art

oh come on why does the UK and Ireland have to wait until a Friday while the rest of Europe get it on a Wednesday that’s not fair.

Rebecca, do you know if content from LBP 1 + 2 passes over or if we start off fresh? My PS3 got YLoD about a year ago, and I still haven’t managed to recollect everything.
