Hi everyone. Recently Ratchet & Clank: QForce has been in its private beta phase. I’m pleased to inform you that the beta will be made available for a limited time to some lucky PS Plus members from 4.00pm GMT today, Wednesday 29th August.
The beta will include the following:
- A tutorial mode which you can play alone
- Ranked competitive multiplayer where you can play 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 or Party 2 vs 2
(invite a friend to join you and then go and find a game together) - Leaderboards
If you want to refresh your memory on how awesome this new Ratchet and Clank game is, check out our Gamescom trailer here:
The game will release later this year and this is the perfect opportunity to help make it even MORE amazing.

why only PS+ members ? i was going to buy this game just like i bought the PS3′s HD collection on day one but i swear i will not now because of this exclusivity [DELETED].

Some? I hope I’m some. I love R&C and still annoyed we haven’t had All 4 One as a Plus freebie like the US have. Still playing through the PS2HD trilogy though.

I seem to be getting more hyped for each new game in this series. And besides All4One, the hype was validated :p Can’t wait to play traditional R&C in co op.

PS Plus gives sony the financial funding to offer services and content. A public beta is a massive thing to pull off and respect to insomniac for going that route. PS Plus is actually damn good value for money and you get things like this!
Harsh that you should feel the need to cancel buying a game because of this. But it’s cool, feel free to ignore it, myself and many others will be buying it and have a ton of fun… No doubt if you feel this strongly, you’ll also buy on release anyway

The post says 4pm GMT, that’s 25 mins time, the UK is currently on GMT+1, so it won’t be there yet. Store hasn’t even updated for today yet either so could be even later.
Looking forward to trying it out, big fan of the series.

Hi Nukester,
The Beta has just gone live and it takes some time for the Plus Section to update. Try to log out and back in in a few minutes.

plus membership is not for me,i paid £40 for it the moment it came out but lost all interest 4 months later. i’m not willing to waste another £40 on something which is not for me just so i can access beta’s. any game that will have beta for PS+ members only will be taking off of my buy list.simple as that.

Agree 100% with you on the moment it came out… it was awful, games were low in quality and there was not enough reason to have it… However, with the instant game collection building, retro grade for free at launch and building the content for plus subscribers in a manner which means I don’t have enough time to play EVERYTHING!… It’s better than it was.
I hope you reconsider your purchase, if it’s a great game you should not refuse to buy it because you didn’t have early access to it? Buy it if it’s good, if its crap, don’t buy it.

Just played the BETA
today is a good day if your a plus member,
I will say this tho its different to any ratchet and clank game I’ve played and I’ve played them all. At first I didn’t like it but this could be the game of the year and the online is fun, I hope this game does really well I will pick it up thanks you guys good luck with the game
