Hello all and welcome to the second installment from me highlighting the best content from the Official PlayStation Forums.
Firstly, let me start off with one of our awesome community happenings – SSX Über Tuesday Event! It’s an event so amazing that we occasionally have guest appearances from Todd Batty (Creative Director of SSX) and Connor Dougan (Lead Gameplay Producer).
The action is split into two separate parts. The first is a seven-day challenge which starts every Tuesday at approximately 7.00pm UK time. The second part of the event is a meet-up on Tuesday evening where we compete against each other on two different events over a three hour period. With SSX’s unique online set up you’re able to compete in your own time, at your own pace!
As there are three different types of events we can compete in (Race, Tricky and Survival) we use them on a rotational basis. For example, one week we’ll do a seven-day race event with the meet-up consisting of Tricky and Survival. The following week we’ll change to a seven-day tricky event with a Race and Survival meet up, and so on.
If Community Events aren’t your thing, you should totally check out some of the discussion topics we have on the go. One of our biggest threads on the forum is one where users are encouraged to post their PlayStation 3 setups. With nearly 10,000 posts and 300,000 views, this topic is certainly a beast! There are some utterly insane setups on show! There are always topics on the go about upcoming releases, if you want to share in the community’s excitement for upcoming Rockstar game GTA5 or maybe even Sony’s own The Last of Us.
Finally, we are also planning a community meet up at this year’s Eurogamer Expo! There will be quite a few of the community team attending over the four day London gaming extravaganza – check out this thread to see who is going on which day!
