Welcome. The new look PlayStation Store launches shortly, bringing with it a broad selection of new content.
Doom 3 BFG Edition is the ultimate bundle for fans of the groundbreaking shooter that defined the modern FPS. It includes Doom, Doom II, Doom 3, and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, including the ‘Lost Mission’. On top of that, all Doom 3 content has been re-mastered in stunning 3D for an even more terrifying FPS experience
Elsewhere, Lee’s story continues in the latest episode of Telltale Game’s excellent The Walking Dead tie-in. It’s the penultimate entry in the five part series. Sleeping Dogs is now available for digital download and Namco Bandai’s quirky action title A-MEN is well worth a look too. Oh, and don’t overlook BreakQuest: Extra Evolution in minis.
Playstation Plus members have got some great bonuses too. There’s early access for The Unfinished Swan and a beta run for our forthcoming brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale which, by the way, will be available for Vita users too (whether you’re a Plus member or not). Not only that, Dogfight 1942 is 50% off and you can still get Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2 for the bargain price of £7.99!
We’ve also got a pre-order offer for When Vikings Attack. Pre-order early and you’ll net yourself a €3 saving – don’t miss out!

@Popeye_1986:
I don’t get it, why does people complain even when the Store is not fully ready and working yet. Should be working properly when the Store updates.
@Chaosprower:
Don’t know so I’ll let Jawad answer this.
@MissDreamer:
Contact Just Add Water, they are you ones you should ask.

Welcome to SCE’s copy of XBLM. Until you come up with REAL functional changes to the Store then I’d suggest you shut up about this crappy reskin.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get my Borderlands 2 DLC and get off this messed up piece of %^£$ without having all the problems people have been complaining about… missing purchases, duplicated purchases, timeouts, hanging updates and money going missing.

earlier on in the week, the Battle royal beta was going to be made available to all ps vita owners is that still the case?
as quoted: ‘What’s more, as a special treat, PS Vita users will be able dive right into the multiplayer beta starting tomorrow – no Plus subscription required.’
Posted on 17 October, 2012 at 4:01 pm by Jawad Ashraf
Yes, that is correct.

2 months after… still no Counter-Strike. Are we going to see it anytime soon? Please, give us an update, this situation is embarassing, we would deserve at least an explanation, not the usual “no news”, “we are sorry”, etc…

I’ve already purchased killzone: liberation for the psp off the store. Is it a mistake that it is listed here or does this mean it is finally compatible with the Vita? If it is now compatible with the Vita will i have to repurchase killzone:liberation to enjoy it on my Vita?
Posted on 17 October, 2012 at 4:02 pm by Jawad Ashraf
Yes, you can play it on Vita. It will now be avaialble to buy through the Vita store directly.
Posted on 17 October, 2012 at 4:03 pm by Jawad Ashraf
To clear it up a bit more, you won’t need to rebuy if you already downoaded it on your PSP before. Hope that clears it up.

No sign of CS or Retro City and the walking dead a week late…this is why I hope the next gen is not download only. If the eu store is having problems getting games like this on psn in time what would it be like if it were full retail day one releases. Come on psn eu you were doing so well since E3 but starting to slip again.

Also while I am signed in I would like to complain about plus . I recently renewed my subscription even through since the plus overhaul I have only received one game I did not have ( Borderlands ) but I decided to keep the plus for the discounts that we use to get all the time, where are the discounts?, on real games ?.
We use to get day one discounts on loads of games and because of that I bought a lot of games. I think I got nearly 2 years of plus left and I feel I am being penalised for giving you to much money.
Anyway I know you cant please everyone all the time but a decent sale and some decent day one discounts would go a bit to making me happy.

I presume file size 2.76MB for Dogfight 1942 should be 276MB?

D’oh, that should probably read 2176MB.

Where is Retro City Rampage? If it is still in certification/approval then someone in SCEE has dropped the ball BIG TIME.
Also US Store has PayDay for free as a Plus game, will we get this too?

Hi
This may get lost in the whole ‘WHERS SPYRO!!!!!’ that I see every week.
But anyway, is there even a slim chance you could give a nod and a wink, or a full blow ‘yes it is coming soon’ to the following.
Spyr….Joke
Timesplitters 2 (orginal PS2 not a HD version)
)
Timesplitters Future Perfect
Champions of Norrath (classic
Return to Arms
GTA Vice City
Final Fantasy 10 (again the original)
Final Fantasy 12
Also I have a folder with all my god of war games (very geekly called ‘God of war collection’)ofcourse its missing GOW3.Is there any plans to bring this as a digital download?
Thanks.

Posted on 17 October, 2012 at 3:33 pm by Bealinator
Hello Jawad,
Good update, I’ll definitely be grabbing The Walking Dead!
Just a few questions for you this week:
1) Do you know when Monkeypaw will have fixed Tomba! ? I was on the US Store and watched a preview of the game there and the sound is definitely messed up on the SCEE uploaded version, on the SCEA one it sounds exactly how I remembered it.
2) Do you know when RE2 will be playable on the Vita?
3) Would it be possible for yourself or another Store team member to replace what Andy did with a Sales blog post? I really loved those because you were able to request things which often got delivered upon, I don’t really like the random sales items which weren’t announced. Just seems a bit cold and mechanical, far better to have a team member bang on about how good the deals are and why we have to top up our PSN wallets.
Posted on 17 October, 2012 at 4:35 pm by Jawad Ashraf
1. We’re working together with them to find a solution. Keep an eye on monkeypaw’s twitter feed as well for potential updates.
2. I have no info on this sadly.
3. We’ve got other people doing what Andy did so they’ll also be seeing some of the suggestions coming through.

still no Retro City Rampage again your delays have killed this game in the uk. even if its released next week it will be too late to many AAA titles out at end of month.

This is really cool and i really like the new look, but didn’t America get Payday The Heist for free? i’m pretty sure they got 2 Playstation Plus this month (NFL Blitz and a fighting game) so i’m just wondering, why do they get Payday?
Posted on 17 October, 2012 at 4:38 pm by Jawad Ashraf
Our Plus offers will differ here and there e.g. we have Resident Evil 5 and they currently don’t.

Hey Jawad.
1. there should be a complete bundle for the DOA5 Costumes out today? or change of plans?
2. I have been in contact with the Danish customer service because my “Wipeout Fury DLC pack” is gone from my Download list (which I got from the “Welcome Back pack” and should have forever) but the first reply was the it only was Wipeout HD without Fury.
Knowing that was BS I sended them a reply with the blog updates regarding the “Welcome back pack” which shows Wipeout HD + Fury.
The 2nd reply was, we need to contact the UK diversion to get elaborated about this. Could you possible do something to speed this up or give a message to the people controlling the download lists? or do I have to wait 3-6 months before the Fury DLC pack shows on my Download list again like when I lost Wipeout HD last year?
Have a nice day
Griever_Zero

Only the 3 pieces above are what have been scheduled for today.
Sorry you haven’t managed get to the bottom of your issue. I can only recommend you contact customer services (blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/08/01/guide-to-playstation-customer-services/). You will find contact details there for local and other territories. I can’t do anything else from my end, though sadly. Best of luck.

With KZ:Liberation being included on the store, does this finally mean it’s compatible with UK PS:Vita’s?
Not a three bad update, but I have to wonder. With only 2 weeks until’ November… Where is the PS Plus for Vita update / information?

@Mr_Writer I don’t think Square-Enix will re-release the original PS2 version of Final Fantasy X, as they are making an HD remasterization for Vita and PS3 right now.
