First up, Assassin’s Creed III eagle dives onto PlayStation Store this week. A new game engine, a new assassin and a new time period; experience the biggest Assassin’s Creed yet. Take control of Connor and his expanded arsenal in 18th-Century North America in an epic war for independence.
Capcom’s beautiful Okami HD finally releases today, too. Originally released on PlayStation 2, Okami’s pretty visuals have been made prettier, now with additional Move support for a new way to experience this gem of a game.
To be Most Wanted, you’ll need to outrun the cops, outdrive your friends, and outsmart your rivals. With a relentless police force gunning to take you down, you’ll need to make split second decisions. Use the open world to your advantage to find hiding spots, hit jumps and earn new vehicles to keep you one step ahead.
Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation heads to PS Vita today too. The year is 1765. As the events leading up to the American Revolution heat up in the North, Spanish forces plan to take control of Louisiana in the South…
There’s also a demo for visual novel Virtue’s Last Reward, Silent Hill Book of Memories and brain teaser Smart As…, among others.
See below for a full list of content this week and a have great week gaming!

Hi Jawad
Please Answer
1. Any update on Crash Bash making it on the store?, if so will it be released this year and will it be the PAL version?
2. Now that you’re in regular contact with Telltale games, any updates on getting Wallace and Gromits grand adventures? I have tried contacting them, your my last hope, please ask them for it, pretty please with a cherry on top.
3. Lastly any updates on Monster House a PS2 Classic? THQ are good with PS2 Classics, have you asked them to submit this particular title? Is there any chance we can get it soon?
Many Thanks

Issues updating the store last week aside, I am finding it VERY difficult to find the new weekly content in the revised store design.
PLEASE can you re-instate a “New This Week” section ?

Where is Retro City Rampage?!
Posted on 31 October, 2012 at 3:28 pm by Jawad Ashraf
It’s coming very soon. The developer will hopefully be appearing on the Blog in the next week or so to provide an update and answer any questions on the game, so please stay tuned.

@ Jawad:
Hi there! Excuse me if I’m reposting last week’s comment, but I couldn’t find you. Anyway, guess who’s back for some Spyro-related questions!
Actually, I kind of know that you guys are having issues with Spyro, so, given you liked last week’s drawing, I thought it’d be nice of me to give you guys a further (drawn) encouragement. Send this to the QA guys!

Any news at all about the purple dragon?
The wait is getting harder and harder each week. I hope we’ll get to wander the Dragon Realms again before 2013 (eight weeks should be fair game, there’s plenty of time… right?).
Oh, and I almost forgot. Happy Halloween!
Posted on 31 October, 2012 at 3:32 pm by Jawad Ashraf
Lovely drawing.
Sadly we are running into a few issues so Spyro won’t be showing today. We’re progressing with it, however. When I have more news to share I’ll let you guys know.

It’s October 31st, 2012… where is Retro City Rampage? Wasn’t it supposed to finally come out today?

Hey Jawad! Awesome update this week! Really wanna get my hands on NFS!
But, as always, what’s the status on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for PSOne Classics?

No update as of yet, sorry.

The game will be available to download from October 9 in North America, with a European release date to follow later this month.
It’s the last day of the month and no explanation….

Hello XY,
Please answer:
1, The Linger in Shadows is part of the Halloween Sale, but I can’t find at the Store. Please fix it, I want to buy it! Thanks!
2, EU Plus users should get more Full Game Trial content, for example: US user’s can try the new Medal of Honor and Need for Speed.
3, The Borderlands and Just Cause 2 should be changed to 2 new game for the PS Plus IGC, any news about this?
Thanks!
Cheers!

Hello SCEE!
This will be your top priorities this week:
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Fixing every Monkeypawgame so they run in the correct speed on the ps3!

Bummer, i was expecting Under Defeat HD to be sold for €29.99, not €39.99
18
Posted on 31 October, 2012 at 3:05 pm by BluSpykz
Wow @ £39.99 for PS Vita games; With scarce space on PS Vita memory cards, and the price of said cards – that’s a lot of money to spend to fill your card, when if you shop around you can buy the cartridge for less than £30.
Tiny bit disappointing.
Last day of October, and short of the word “Soon” – we’ve still not been given any information regarding PS Vita Plus. (IGC etc).
Hoping, stupidly probably haha, for an update today that says PSV+ goes live on the 7th November with these games: (X, Y, Z). ETC.

Hey Jawad!
I was checking the Street Fighter x Tekken DLC in the store and noticed that the Color Palette Add-on 2 (labeled “free”, even though I downloaded it before) can’t be downloaded. It returns an error when it’s added to the basket (says it’s not available right now).
It’s nothing really important, but I just thought you should know about this issue
.

Posted on 31 October, 2012 at 3:05 pm by RemyX-1988
Also, when does SEGA lower the price of the “Battle DLC” for Sonic Adventure 2? It costs €4,49 now, while it’s $2,99 in North America. It’s almost twice as expensive here, but it’s the exact same content? Why?

Aside of that, good update there.

Possibly. The full game is out in a few weeks.

The price differences between NFS:MV Vita and AC3:L on the US and EU stores is shocking. (Yes I know you guys can’t control 3rd parties, but surely you can influence.)

Hmmm Need for speed most wanted at £59.99… add another £2 and I could buy 2 copies for that much at my local store lol.
2nd though I agree with Topov81 , The new store looks awesome but navigating the Aircraft taxi ways at Heathrow airport is less confusing hehe

Posted on 31 October, 2012 at 3:09 pm by XDerKleineX
Please give me a logical explanation for this:
Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation
Price: £39.99/€44.99
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Price: £39.99/€49.99
So 45 euros = 50 euros? Money is worthless?

“Okami HD finally releases today [...] now with additional Move support for a new way to experience this gem of a game.”
You keep using these words. How is the experience with Move support “new”? To be more specific, how is it different from the experience on the Wii that was released well over four years ago, that costs about £6 than your PSN version?
41
Posted on 31 October, 2012 at 3:09 pm by mike_291990
Still no Retro City Rampage? Looks like the “later this month” comment is out the window then.
Think I’m just gonna pass on it at this rate.
@BluSpykz they said Vita PS+ info would be in the first November PS+ notes. That would either be today or next Wednesday.

Hey there, my corporate lacky friends,
…do you know what is more irritating than that un-removable singstar advertisement?
No, its not the un-removable Plus advertisement, nor the un-removable Netflix, iplayer or Music Unlimited advertisements, it is:
*drum roll*
The new playstation store – yes, that jumbled up, iphone-app wannabe mess that cant even function properly on PS3′s RAM-lacking & outdated operating system.
Please, for the love of simple online purchasing, give us users the CHOICE to use the original, far more user friendly, web-only playstation store.
- Thank you and good day.

Hi Jawad,
I’ve basically one thing to raise with you. That Assassin’s Creed sale has not went as planned. Basically most items have been uploaded and/or discounted as they were described, but the ‘Lost Archive’ still hasn’t had that additional 10% Plus discount. Could you see what the problem is here? I’d very much like to pick up that bit of dlc.
Do you have any idea what games will be featured on Plus for PS Vita?

Okami is tempting. Shame we don’t get ZOE for another month.
So much for Retro City Rampage coming out in October, and still no news of Jet Set Radio. What are Sega doing to it??
I’m starting to really regret putting my Vita on an EU account – I foolishly believed all the talk of eliminating release schedule differences, but it’s gotten worse, not better.
