‘Heads-Up’ Game Store Update 7th November 2012

I’m normally not one to complain, but I have to say it: the new Store is complete garbage and made a giant mess of something that previously worked fine. Games are mislabeled (see Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood), games go missing from the Download list, the Mugen Souls DLC is STILL nowhere to be found, the sorting system is a nasty mess…

With all due respect, you need to can the whole new interface and send it back to QA for testing because the people who greenlighted it as ‘usable’ were clearly hammered. It’s the only explanation I have for why this twisted abomination was given the go-ahead. That, or you guys want to actively drive people away from your Store, in which case you’re succeeding. I refuse to spend 40 minutes looking for DLC because someone in R&D thought it’d be fun to NOT sort the DLC by game…

Is it just me but were is the devil may cry hd collection on the store can not find it anywhere can someone please help me????

Hi there ! how can i donwload the Davinci dlc for Assassin Creed Brotherhood ? I can’t found it in the store , I got the game on disc so i’m not planing to buy the whole game again from the store just for to have the dlc . any ideas ?

New glitch, 3 missing icons in the PSVita latest. *sigh*
This new store is getting much worse.

On the belgian store, the link to Dyad doesn’t work (content not available) and PID is not on the store at all. Was looking forward to buying both games.

@450 They are full game trials.

The store has turned into a shadow of its former self. What used to take about 2 minutes takes 10.

We should be provided with the option to roll back to the old Store. The new store is missing content, slow and is misleading new customers.

£59.99 for Far Cry 3 on the store! I hope the PS4 dies at launch.

And Dyad is still missing. It’s bad enough that games are missing their release dates, but to have the ad for the game sitting on the front page of the (shambles) of the store and for the content to not actually be available is downright laughable.

I don’t like to whine, but if this was a bricks’n'mortar store I’d just stop shopping there.

If ye seek to erode the goodwill and patience of your customers, you’re doing a fantastic job, with the complete lack of communication doing the most damage.

I guess i’m too late for a reply but i’m having a few issues with content this week.
1: Dyad is on the store front (Ireland) but when i click on it it says “This content is not available”.
2: The “When Vikings Attack” Dynamic Theme for PS+ says “Unavailable”.

While i initially welcomed the new store i’m actually finding it much slower than the old store and cumbersome to navigate. It’s also slightly frustrating that when you are (finally) browsing the category/section that you want, half the screen is wasted on an advert. I know it’s a progressive thing so hopefully all the wonderful feedback you’ve been receiving will prompt some changes soon.

You know from now on after next week. I will check the blog on Wednesday and then check the main Store on Fridays now to give the new Store time to update and then I will install any Plus content from Fridays. To save me having to complain all the time.

Time to start emailing the senior people at SCEE again. The clowns that look after this blog are telling no one about all the complaints. How can a company keep continuing to make the same balls up week after week?

Please could you give any info on whats happening with the Darksiders2 season pass please cos people have paid money for this and it should be a problem that should have been sorted THQ are saying this is a PSN store problem. Due to the new store. I think it’s time that refunds are sorted so people can by the Abyssal Forge download normally without the season pass. People have paid up front in trust that we get what we paid for and this isn’t happening. I can’t believe it’s sort in the us but not in the uk yet.

Dyad is available, I bought it last night. Use the (absolutely dreadful) search engine. Yes it will list every item with the letter ‘D’ in the title…not items beginning with the letter ‘D’ as one would expect, so there is A LOT of rubbish you have to rummaged through. Good game though.

Who ever designed the new PSN Store should go back to cleaning ovens at Burger King. It’s quite remarkable how Sony have royally messed this up. Granted, it does look nice a slick. Shame it runs as smoothly as a blind man playing Chess.

Hate to moan, but come on, what’s happening with resident evil 2 for vita, I bought it then it got removed before I downloaded it on vita. I ask every week for over a month and it’s still not resolved. It’s confirmed working so what is the problem? If its not going back on at least give me a refund

@scuffy_p So type Dyad? That new search engine is far, FAR better than the old one which seemed to list almost totally unrelated items even with the WHOLE game name typed into the search box. I’ve found the new one a huge improvement and I use it to find stuff I expect to be on the store more than I use the actual store’s new layout.

@dee4life444 I downloaded Ratchet & Clank All 4 One (if that’s the one you mean) off there wednesday night. Found it by using the search feature.

Hey Jawad. There seems to be a problem in the portuguese store, in the PS PLUS content! It says something like “There was an error during instalation” and it doesn’t even start to download. Could you please check it out?

Still can’t find the supposed the three pieces of new Mugen Souls DLC that was supposed to appear either by sifting through all add-ons or using that useless new search function…

If SCEE give a price on the store for a game or DLC on PSN and it’s actually a more expensive price when you go to buy it then it’s fraud.

Make sure you report it. It’s the only way we’ll get Sony to wake up and realise how useless SCEE is.

That method doesn`t work at finnish psn store. Search engine stop giving you correct letters after DY, so that you can not type DYAD.

Here is an issue with the store. Certain games just don’t exist on the new store. Two examples are Trine 2 and Dungeon Defenders.

These games exist on my downloads list but on the store and via store search they either don’t appear or only allow you download the xKB unlock file.

Are you retiring games off the store or is this a blunder on the part of Sony?

I agree that it would be a great idea to have a voting site so that we can show a projection of how well a PSOne / Psp / Ps2 title will sell so you guys can apply your time and skill effectively.

Do you think there will be a bigger influx of Vita content ready for the Christmas season?

I am really looking forward to Spyro finally being released, plus really hoping that Burnout Legends might be coming soon. Also a decent FPS such as Medal of Honour; Heroes would fill a big gap in Vitas repetoire…

i still cant add funds to psn using a credit card. i already contacted my bank and everything is fine with my credit card. i always used this card to buy games in the store. its something wrong with the new psn? could you help me please? thanks

Still no Pid and Dyad. On the other hand discovered discounted Bioshock. Bionic commando seems to be missing from the store as well…

Sony know the new store is complete garbage, but are locked into various advertising deals with EA, Activision, Ubisoft ect, which is basically what the new store is about: – big pictures advertising the latest broken, more of the same games from these bloated 3rd party publishes

As far as sony is concerned, advertisers are their real customers now. People who buy their hardware & games can shove it.

Hey Jawad, I would like to point out Assassin’s Creed 2 & Brotherhood are appearing as FREE for PS Plus. So, naturally I went on to proceed. It showed as Full game even when checking out. After downloading a total of 15GB, now I found out they are Just Full Game Trials. PLEASE Correct this ASAP & Prevent further misleading.

DEAD ISLAND GOTYE!! it was my bday last week, knowing 3 of my mates were going to buy it in the halloween ps store sale i asked for it as a bday gift, and i got it, super. but even tho the product description said it was 11.99 from oct24 th till nov 7th, it was left at full price throughout this period, barring around a brief 2 day spell, so, understandably they didnt buy it, rendering my gift pretty useless and preventing sony from selling 3 copies. so will this get sorted? and when? these errors are comin thick and fast. as gamers and sony employees doesn’t this bother you lot too? to have games often ruined, and for the company you represent lose business/customers. the list of errors/bugs/delays/pricing issues/promo ‘offers’ is shameful: cs:go, worms um(broken online), spyro, crash bash etc… and the list goes well beyond that handfull.

Is everything from this update going to be available before the next supposed update because the new Mugen Souls DLC still isn’t up, this is really quite annoying and the lack of information is the worst part…

At this rate I’d be better off sticking to importing my games and getting the DLC from the US store since that appears to update without problems so what is going on?

Why the hell is Rachet and Clank 15 gb?
I played the beta to it and can’t work out why it’s such a big file, some of us only have 360 gb machines.

I have 2 questions here
1. For playstation mobile I bought the ps1 classic silent hill for 7 pounds or something on my xperia play, now I have a different phone but it is playstation certified to, I cant download the game on my phone. The ps store is there but only ps mobile games no ps classics. Ive paid money for that shoudnt I be able to download it.

2. Do you guys ever thing Final Fantasy Crisis core will be released on ps store I so wanna play it on my vita I miss it. Loved that game so damn much.

Hi Jawad, I downloaded the unlock key for cubix HD but I cannot get the full game download. I go to the game page like you instructed previously and despite it saying full game 163MB, when I click download it only downloads the 6KB unlock. Please Help.

So what is going on with the three new pieces of Mugen Souls DLC but as well as that where did the BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND(PS3) DLC, Atelier Totori and Atelier Meruru music pack DLC go as all that is there for the two Atelier games are the characters?

No matter what I try I can’t find these which is frustrating, I have also noticed new DLC for some games doesn’t get added to its game’s list/section until about a week after the DLC’s release is that normal?
