Stretching back from my roots as a tournament player to my current gig as lead game designer for Sony’s Santa Monica Studio, I’ve spent over two decades in fighting games, and have been thrilled to revisit so many great memories from my own PlayStation history with the characters and stages of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
I’m here today on behalf of SuperBot Entertainment, Bluepoint Games and Santa Monica Studio to announce that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has gone gold on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita! All of us are extremely grateful for the help from our beta players in testing our networking, and thrilled to see the amazing response from all of you that played the beta, which is just a small slice of the full game.
In celebration of this milestone, we wanted to share something special as a small “thank you!” to all the amazing PlayStation fans who have helped us come so far. Today we’re officially unveiling the opening cinematic sequence to the game. We’ve been pretty tight-lipped about our final boss, but if you hang in until the end you’ll get a glimpse of the villainous mastermind that’s returned from the depths of PlayStation history to pull the strings in All-Stars.

Looks amazing. The whole SuperBot team has done a fantastic job with the game. You should all be really proud.
I pre-ordered my copy a few weeks ago so just don’t keep us waiting much longer.

That trailer was epic, I hope this game gets the attention it deserves, its been great seeing the updates over the last few months since its announcement.

I’m really excited for PlayStation all stars battle royale going to be a terrific game I got a beta yesterday and it looks really good and I’m excited to hae it for my ps3 and also when I get my vita.

Very enjoyable intro movie that. Still don’t know about the game. I played the beta and it is a lot better than Smash Bros but I’m still not sure I’ll buy it… yet. Got other non-gaming priorities (which be why I’m on PS Plus so I get freebies and enjoying R&C: All 4 One presently) but maybe in the future. I do want to play as Drake or Cole very much.

Yes I know all stars battle royale is awesome an yeah it’s better than smash bros I don’t know what every nintendo fanboys all about saying that we copied them with move now with playstation all stars it’s way better that’s why in pleased to be a PlayStation gamer and yes I just got ps plus yesterday its amazing a large collection of games for free.

If there ever is a sequel (which I hope), you guys HAVE to put Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and Sora from Kingdom Hearts in the game. They would all be PERFECT for this game.

Do the Ps3 Disc releases have a code (or an on-disc install) for the Vita version? I am aware that the US releases (e.g. Amazon.com) have the code but it is nowhere stated on the Uk retailers’ sites (e.g. Amazon.co.uk). Just want to find that out as I prefer having a physical copy and I’d rather not miss out on the game due to not knowing.

Well Polygon Man has a really good reason to be [CENSORED] off. Being slated as the mascotte for Playstation, but being dumped even before its launch. I’d be pretty mad too
