the amazing spider-man is a fantastic reboot of the series and if you have not seen it you must its way better than the Sam Raimi films with far less focus on being cheesy and a must watch in my opinion.

Also just watched Arthur Christmas last night and its really funny and well worth a watch if your someone who still enjoys animation :)

For 3 years we’ve been asking and for 3 years there has been only silence and platitudes, so one more probably entirely futile attempt: when will the Video Store launch in the countries where it is currently absent.

Please don’t bother with a “we’re constantly looking to expand the range of countries…..” response. We’ve heard that too many times.

And so begins the new slew of “When is the video store coming to *insert country here*?”

Great, now we get reminded every week that we’re never getting a video store coz we don’t live in the UK

Can someone please fix the Split/Second Onslaught DLC price from the Racing Sale from last week? It still seems to be showing up at full price on the store!!!

At 1/3 of the cost to purchase just to rent a film you must be having a laugh. If you priced at £1-2 per rental the sheer number of extra rentals you would get would far increase the profit you make at the moment with such excessive margins.

Can’t say much of them appeal to me. Saw Amazing Spider-Man and found it quite pointless. Much preferred the previous series which had a lot more charm and creativity to it.

Ahh yes SCEE/sony the masters of Troll lol

this is trolling at it finest now you see every week SCEE answer to jim’s bullseye

“this is what you could have won”

now it this…..

“this is what you could Have”

to the rest of EU lol :D

@rick_x the rental price is similar to other services, 3.99 or 4.99 for hd on virgin media for 48 hours rental.

So…….South-Africa wont get this before………2165, seeing as Irland doesnt even have this. Guess PS3 owners just have to keep downloading Sony movies & tv shows illegally. Great way for Sony to “try” & stop internet crime.

Hi Laurie,

Can I just ask, will The Big Bang Theory be releasing each episode on PlayStation Network after their UK release like Red Dwarf series X?

I’d like to watch each episode close to their air dates, otherwise it’s easier just waiting for the blu-ray.

Many thanks!
Dan.

    Laure Casteran 13 November, 2012 @ 3:54 pm

    Hi Dan,

The Big Bang Theory will be available on the platform the day after the UK broadcast (episode by episode). First episode of the new series (series 06) will be available on the 16th of November. Other episodes will be releasing weekly (a day after UK broadcast).

    I hope this will help

    Cheers,
    Laure

Wow, i was so exited when i saw this update in the Eu blog, but then i saw its not for sweden.. :(
Any news when you will bring this awesome service to us here! Winter time would be awesome “wink” cold weather would be perfect with some great movies!

skatepunk36 13 November, 2012 @ 12:55 pm   13

@xenokiller: I see i am not the only one waiting desperatly on the plus update.. I will be on tour next two weeks, ned new ps vita games, but simply can’t /won’t/ deny to buy anything till I know whats free for plus

KillaT2501 13 November, 2012 @ 1:21 pm   14

Will Plus ever come to the video store?

Perhaps a couple of rentals a month and an instant film collection?

Would be an awesome extension of the service

I understand that it’s more complicated to gain all required rights in Europe, but honestly: Sony as a content creator and distributor is responsible for that mess too.

There aren’t many reasons why I’d wish to live in the USA, but Netflix is one. ;)

abdirizak007 13 November, 2012 @ 1:40 pm   16

I live in Denmark and i Can’t see the video store :”( please i want the.video store too Denmark :)

So much for Fred coming back with a response to Brodsians question , always new his charity money was safe :) , see my reply on the weekend blog roundup ,keep us informed is all we ask even if its bad news

sully1311 13 November, 2012 @ 1:53 pm   18

Are we getting the 3d version of Spider-Man like the US?

Nice to see more info about the Video Store.

It would be nice to have some Plus Discounts on here, but I guess we’ll have to wait until the next E3 for news on that (lol)

Keep up the great work.

Quite disappointing to see there is no reply to questions we leave in comments on the video store update. Jawad is suddenly getting extra kudos.

    Fred Dutton 13 November, 2012 @ 3:12 pm

Laure has been away from her desk this morning – she’ll be along to answer questions soon.

KnightOrc 13 November, 2012 @ 3:49 pm   21

@Fred Dutton: Any idea of the Split/Second Onslaught DLC price has been fixed yet?

KnightOrc 13 November, 2012 @ 4:17 pm   22

@Fred Dutton: Thanks! :)

not a moan but general question: why should i pay £3/£4 to rent a film for 24 hours when for £11 (love film) or £6 (netflix) or even £5 (virginpicture box) i can have unlimited streaming of a film i can watch as many times i want for a period longer than 24 hours? If sony offered a movie or tv streaming service, i would seriously consider signing up for it. Another question (which somw has already asked and im backing them up) will we get discount or free film courtisy of plus? We had a free film when the ps3 broke last year, why not carry on with it?

crusher915 13 November, 2012 @ 5:05 pm   24

I went to the PS Video store and am i missing something or are you not able to purchase full series, only individual episodes?

thewanderer34 13 November, 2012 @ 5:16 pm   25

The option to rent the amazing spiderman doesnt appear to be on the store. Only the options to purchase in sd or hd are currently available .

extermin8or_ 13 November, 2012 @ 5:30 pm   26

I would love to know what the reason for spiderman releasing on the digital store weeks before retail version is? I suspect it’s to promote the digital version as it’s been done on other digital services too- when Skyfall comes to be released because that was a great film and I don’t see why i should have to wait weeks just to see a released film again :@

Yes, since 2009 we have recieved the empty shell of a videostore towards the EU.
begin of 2012 we got the promise that the videostore was going to be released after the summer..

and now SONY released a statement towards the press (not their customers) that the videostore will be released in 2013.

even Nintendo releases consoles faster than sony releases as service

Stonesthrow 13 November, 2012 @ 5:41 pm   28

Simply appalling that we had to miss out on a videostore this whole gen. Sony unworthy.

Not sure if this has been asked previously but, is it possible to buy season passes of shows? The new shop looks great but I feel like sometimes not everything is as clear as it could be.

Thanks!

Hi Guys, just updated my Playstation Store tonight, and wanted to download the new Need For Speed, but as Sony being Sony, they have now removed my Download tab on the XMB. So any downloads or purchases I make are pointless as they don’t generate a download sequence because its now GONE on the XMB :(. If anyone hasn’t done this already, you might be the small number affected. I cant be bothered contacting Sony’s support line, as its like talking to a brick wall! I cant find any update on the internet in regards to this glitch/bug, or simple minded mistake, but fingers crossed for you all.

P.s, sorry on the wrong blog. Having one of those days :(
